1 Raja-raja 4
1 Maka Salomo menjadi raja atas seluruh Israel.
And king Solomon was king over all Israel.
2 Inilah para pembesarnya: Azarya bin Zadok menjadi imam;
And these are the princes whom he had: Azariah the son of Zadok was priest;
3 Elihoref dan Ahia, anak-anak Sisa menjadi panitera negara; Yosafat bin Ahilud menjadi bendahara negara;
Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, chronicler;
4 Benaya bin Yoyada menjadi panglima; Zadok dan Abyatar menjadi imam.
and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host; and Zadok and Abiathar were priests;
5 Azarya bin Natan mengawasi para kepala daerah; Zabut bin Natan, seorang imam, menjadi sahabat raja;
and Azariah the son of Nathan was over the superintendents; and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, the king's friend;
6 Ahisar menjadi kepala istana; Adoniram bin Abda menjadi kepala rodi.
and Ahishar was over the household; and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the levy-service.
7 Salomo mempunyai dua belas orang kepala daerah atas seluruh Israel yang harus menjamin makanan raja dan seisi istananya: adalah tanggungan tiap-tiap kepala daerah untuk menjamin makanan selama sebulan dalam setahun.
And Solomon had twelve superintendents over all Israel; and they provided food for the king and his household: each man his month in the year had to make provision.
8 Inilah nama-nama mereka: Ben-Hur di pegunungan Efraim;
And these are their names: Ben-Hur, in mount Ephraim.
9 Ben-Deker di Makas, di Saalbim, di Bet-Semes dan di Elon-Bet-Hanan;
Ben-Deker in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth-shemesh, and Elon-Beth-hanan.
10 Ben-Hesed di Arubot; wilayahnya ialah Sokho dan seluruh tanah Hefer;
Ben-Hesed, in Arubboth; he had Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher.
11 Ben-Abinadab memegang seluruh tanah bukit Dor, dan Tafat binti Salomo menjadi isterinya;
Ben-Abinadab had all the upland of Dor; Taphath the daughter of Solomon was his wife.
12 Baana bin Ahilud memegang Taanakh, Megido dan seluruh Bet-Sean yang di sebelah Sartan di sebelah hilir Yizreel, dari Bet-Sean sampai Abel-Mehola sampai ke seberang Yokmeam.
Baana the son of Ahilud had Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean, which is by Zaretan beneath Jizreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-Meholah, as far as beyond Jokneam.
13 Selanjutnya Ben-Geber di Ramot-Gilead; wilayahnya ialah Hawot-Yair yang di Gilead; Yair ialah anak Manasye. Juga wilayah Argob yang di Basan dipegangnya, enam puluh kota besar, berpagar tembok dan berpalang pintu tembaga;
Ben-Geber, in Ramoth-Gilead; he had the villages of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; he had the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, sixty great cities with walls and bars of bronze.
14 Ahinadab bin Ido memegang Mahanaim.
Ahinadab the son of Iddo, at Mahanaim.
15 Selanjutnya Ahimaas di Naftali; ia juga mengambil seorang anak Salomo menjadi isterinya, yakni Basmat.
Ahimaaz, in Nephtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon as wife.
16 Selanjutnya Baana bin Husai di Asyer dan di Alot.
Baanah the son of Hushai, in Asher and in Aloth.
17 Lalu Yosafat bin Paruah di Isakhar
Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar.
18 dan Simei bin Ela di Benyamin.
Shimei the son of Ela, in Benjamin.
19 Geber bin Uri di tanah Gilead memegang tanah Sihon, raja orang Amori, dan tanah Og, raja Basan; dan dialah satu-satunya kepala daerah yang ada di tanah itu.
Geber the son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, the land of Sihon the king of the Amorites, and of Og the king of Bashan; and [he was] the only superintendent that was in the land.
20 Orang Yehuda dan orang Israel jumlahnya seperti pasir di tepi laut. Mereka makan dan minum serta bersukaria.
Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking and making merry.
21 Maka Salomo berkuasa atas segala kerajaan mulai dari sungai Efrat sampai negeri orang Filistin dan sampai ke tapal batas Mesir. Mereka menyampaikan upeti dan tetap takluk kepada Salomo seumur hidupnya.
And Solomon ruled over all kingdoms from the river to the land of the Philistines, and as far as the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
22 Adapun persediaan makanan yang diperlukan Salomo untuk sehari ialah tiga puluh kor tepung yang terbaik dan enam puluh kor tepung biasa,
And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and sixty measures of meal,
23 sepuluh ekor lembu gemukan dan dua puluh lembu gembalaan dan seratus ekor domba, belum terhitung rusa, kijang, rusa dandi dan gangsa piaraan,
ten fatted oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and a hundred sheep, besides harts, and gazelles, and fallow-deer, and fatted fowl.
24 sebab ia berkuasa atas seluruh tanah di sebelah sini sungai Efrat, mulai dari Tifsah sampai ke Gaza, dan atas semua raja di sebelah sini sungai Efrat; ia dikaruniai damai di seluruh negerinya,
For he had dominion over all on this side the river, from Tiphsah as far as Gazah, over all the kings on this side the river; and he had peace on all sides round about.
25 sehingga orang Yehuda dan orang Israel diam dengan tenteram, masing-masing di bawah pohon anggur dan pohon aranya, dari Dan sampai Bersyeba seumur hidup Salomo.
And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig-tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon.
26 Lagipula Salomo mempunyai kuda empat puluh ribu kandang untuk kereta-keretanya dan dua belas ribu orang berkuda.
And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
27 Dan para kepala daerah itu menjamin makanan raja Salomo serta semua orang yang ikut makan dari meja raja Salomo. Mereka membawanya masing-masing dalam bulan gilirannya dengan tidak mengurangi sesuatu apapun.
And those officers provided food for king Solomon, and for all who came to king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they let nothing be wanting.
28 Jelai dan jerami untuk kuda-kuda biasa dan kuda-kuda teji dibawa mereka ke tempat yang semestinya, masing-masing menurut tanggungannya.
And the barley, and the straw for the horses and coursers, they brought to the place where [the superintendents] were, every man according to his charge.
29 Dan Allah memberikan kepada Salomo hikmat dan pengertian yang amat besar, serta akal yang luas seperti dataran pasir di tepi laut,
And God gave Solomon wisdom and very great understanding and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea-shore.
30 sehingga hikmat Salomo melebihi hikmat segala bani Timur dan melebihi segala hikmat orang Mesir.
And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the sons of the east, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
31 Ia lebih bijaksana dari pada semua orang, dari pada Etan, orang Ezrahi itu, dan dari pada Heman, Kalkol dan Darda, anak-anak Mahol; sebab itu ia mendapat nama di antara segala bangsa sekelilingnya.
For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was in all the nations round about.
32 Ia menggubah tiga ribu amsal, dan nyanyiannya ada seribu lima.
And he spoke three thousand proverbs; and his songs were a thousand and five.
33 Ia bersajak tentang pohon-pohonan, dari pohon aras yang di gunung Libanon sampai kepada hisop yang tumbuh pada dinding batu; ia berbicara juga tentang hewan dan tentang burung-burung dan tentang binatang melata dan tentang ikan-ikan.
And he spoke of the trees, from the cedar-tree that is on Lebanon even to the hyssop that springs out of the wall; he spoke also of cattle, and of fowls, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
34 Maka datanglah orang dari segala bangsa mendengarkan hikmat Salomo, dan ia menerima upeti dari semua raja-raja di bumi, yang telah mendengar tentang hikmatnya itu.
And there came of all peoples to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all the kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom.
