1 Adapun orang Israel, inilah daftar para kepala puak, para panglima pasukan seribu dan pasukan seratus dan para pengatur yang melayani raja dalam segala hal mengenai rombongan orang-orang yang bertugas dan libur, bulan demi bulan, sepanjang tahun. Setiap rombongan berjumlah dua puluh empat ribu orang.

Now the children of Israel according to their number, the heads of families, captains of thousands and of hundreds, and officers, that served the king according to their companies, who came in and went out every month in the year, under every chief were four and twenty thousand.

2 Yang mengepalai rombongan pertama untuk bulan pertama ialah Yasobam bin Zabdiel dan dalam rombongannya ada dua puluh empat ribu orang.

Over the first company the first month Jesboam, the son of Zabdiel was chief, and under him were four and twenty thousand.

3 Ia dari bani Peres dan mengepalai semua panglima untuk bulan yang pertama.

This is that Banaias the most valiant among the thirty, and above the thirty. And Amizabad his son commanded his company.

7 Yang keempat untuk bulan yang keempat ialah Asael, saudara Yoab, kemudian ia digantikan oleh Zebaja, anaknya, dan dalam rombongannya ada dua puluh empat ribu orang.

10 Yang ketujuh untuk bulan yang ketujuh ialah Heles, orang Peloni, dari bani Efraim, dan dalam rombongannya ada dua puluh empat ribu orang.

The seventh, for the seventh month, was Helles a Phallonite of the sons of Ephraim: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.

11 Yang kedelapan untuk bulan yang kedelapan ialah Sibkhai, orang Husa dari orang Zerah itu, dan dalam rombongannya ada dua puluh empat ribu orang.

The eighth, for the eighth month, was Sobochai a Husathite of the race of Zarahi: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.

12 Yang kesembilan untuk bulan yang kesembilan ialah Abiezer, orang Anatot itu, dari bani Benyamin, dan dalam rombongannya ada dua puluh empat ribu orang.

The ninth, for the ninth month, was Abiezer an Anathothite of the sons of Jemini, and in His company were four and twenty thousand.

13 Yang kesepuluh untuk bulan yang kesepuluh ialah Maharai, orang Netofa dari orang Zerah itu, dan dalam rombongannya ada dua puluh empat ribu orang.

The tenth, for the tenth month, was Marai, who was a Netophathite of the race of Zarai: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.

14 Yang kesebelas untuk bulan yang kesebelas ialah Benaya, orang Piraton, dari bani Efraim, dan dalam rombongannya ada dua puluh empat ribu orang.

The eleventh, for the eleventh month, was Banaias, a Pharathonite of the sons of Ephraim: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.

15 Yang kedua belas untuk bulan yang kedua belas ialah Heldai, orang Netofa itu, keturunan Otniel, dan dalam rombongannya ada dua puluh empat ribu orang.

The twelfth, for the twelfth month, was Holdai a Netophathite, of the race of Gothoniel: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.

16 Yang mengepalai suku-suku Israel: untuk orang Ruben ialah Eliezer bin Zikhri sebagai pemimpin; untuk orang Simeon ialah Sefaca bin Maakha;

Now the chiefs over the tribes of Israel were these: over the Rubenites, Eliezer the son of Zechri was ruler: over the Simeonites, Saphatias the son of Maacha:

17 untuk suku Lewi ialah Hasabya bin Kemuel; untuk keturunan Harun ialah Zadok;

Over the Levites, Hasabias the son of Camuel: over the Aaronites, Sadoc:

18 untuk suku Yehuda ialah Elihu, salah seorang saudara Daud; untuk suku Isakhar ialah Omri bin Mikhael;

Over Juda, Eliu the brother of David: over Issachar, Amri the son of Michael:

19 untuk suku Zebulon ialah Yismaya bin Obaja; untuk suku Naftali ialah Yerimot bin Azriel;

Over the Zabulonites, Jesmaias the son of Adias: over the Nephtalites, Jerimoth the son of Ozriel:

20 untuk bani Efraim ialah Hosea bin Azazya; untuk setengah suku Manasye ialah Yoel bin Pedaya;

Over the sons of Ephraim, Osee the: son of Ozaziu: over the half tribe of Manasses, Joel the son of Phadaia:

21 untuk setengah suku Manasye yang di Gilead ialah Yido bin Zakharia; untuk suku Benyamin ialah Yaasiel bin Abner;

And over the half tribe of Manasses: in Galaad, Jaddo the son of Zacharias: and over Benjamin, Jasiel the son of Abner.

22 untuk suku Dan ialah Azareel bin Yeroham. Itulah para kepala suku-suku Israel.

And over Dan, Ezrihel the son of Jeroham: these were the princes of the children of Israel.

23 Daud tidak menghitung jumlah orang-orang yang berumur dua puluh tahun ke bawah, sebab TUHAN telah menjanjikan untuk membuat orang Israel sebanyak bintang-bintang di langit.

But David would not number them from twenty years old and under: because the Lord had said that he would multiply Israel like the stars of heaven.

24 Memang Yoab, anak Zeruya, telah mulai menghitung, tetapi ia tidak menyelesaikannya, sebab oleh karena hal itu orang Israel tertimpa murka; dengan demikian jumlah mereka tidak dibukukan dalam kitab sejarah raja Daud.

Joab the son of Sarvia began to number, but he finished not: because upon this there fell wrath upon Israel: and therefore the number of them that were numbered, was not registered in the chronicles of king David.

25 Yang mengawasi persediaan raja ialah Azmawet bin Adiel dan yang mengawasi persediaan di luar kota, di kota-kota, di desa-desa dan di dalam menara-menara lumbung ialah Yonatan bin Uzia.

And over the king’s treasures was Azmoth the son of Adiel: and over those stores which were in the cities, and is the villages, and in the castles, was Jonathan the son of Ozias.

26 Yang mengawasi para pekerja di ladang yang harus mengusahakan tanah ialah Ezri bin Kelub.

And over the tillage, and the husbandmen, who tilled the ground, was Ezri the son of Chelub:

27 Yang mengawasi kebun-kebun anggur ialah Simei, orang Rama. Yang mengawasi hasil kebun anggur untuk persediaan anggur ialah Zabdi, orang Syifmi.

And over the dressers of the vineyards, was Semeias a Romathite: and over the wine cellars, Zabdias an Aphonite.

28 Yang mengawasi pohon-pohon zaitun dan pohon-pohon ara di Daerah Bukit ialah Baal-Hanan, orang Gederi; yang mengawasi persediaan minyak ialah Yoas.

And over the oliveyards and the fig groves, which were in the plains, was Balanam a Gederite: and over the oil cellars, Joas.

29 Yang mengawasi lembu sapi yang digembalakan di tanah Saron ialah Sitrai, orang Saron; yang mengawasi lembu sapi di lembah-lembah ialah Safat bin Adlai.

And over the herds that fed in Saron, was Setrai a Saronite: and over the. oxen in the valleys, Saphat the son of Adli:

30 Yang mengawasi unta-unta ialah Obil, orang Ismael; yang mengawasi keledai-keledai betina ialah Yehdeya, orang Meronot.

And over the camels, Ubil an Ishmahelite: and over the asses, Jadias a Meronathite:

31 Yang mengawasi kambing domba ialah Yazis, orang Hagri. Mereka ini sekalian ialah para pengawas harta milik raja Daud.

And over the sheep Jazia an Agarene. All these were the rulers of the substance of king David.

32 Yonatan, saudara ayah Daud, adalah penasihat; dia seorang cerdas dan ahli kitab. Yehiel bin Hakhmoni membantu anak-anak raja.

And Jonathan David’s uncle, a counsellor, a wise and learned man: he and Jahiel the son of Hachamoni were with the king’s sons.

33 Ahitofel adalah penasihat raja; Husai, orang Arki, adalah sahabat raja.

And Achitophel was the king’s counsellor, and Chusai the Arachite, the king’s friend.

34 Yang menggantikan Ahitofel kemudian ialah Yoyada bin Benaya dan Abyatar. Panglima raja ialah Yoab.

And after Achitophel was Joiada the son of Banaias, and Abiathar. And the general of the king’s army was Joab.
