Wahyu 21
1 Lalu saya melihat surga yang baru dan bumi yang baru. Surga dan bumi yang pertama sudah lenyap, dan laut sudah tidak ada lagi.
And I saw a new Heaven and a new earth; for the first Heaven and the first earth were gone, and the sea no longer exists.
2 Lalu saya melihat kota kudus itu, Yerusalem Baru, diturunkan oleh Allah dari Surga, sudah bersiap diri seperti seorang pengantin perempuan yang berhias untuk suaminya.
And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from God and made ready like a bride attired to meet her husband.
3 Saya mendengar suara keras berasal dari arah takhta itu yang berkata, “Sekarang tempat dimana Allah tinggal adalah bersama-sama dengan manusia dan Dia akan hidup bersama dengan mereka. Mereka akan menjadi umat-Nya. Allah sendiri yang akan menjadi Allah mereka.
And I heard a loud voice, which came from the throne, say, "God's dwelling place is among men and He will dwell among them and they shall be His peoples. Yes, God Himself will be among them.
4 Allah akan menghapus setiap tetes air mata dari mata mereka, dan mereka tidak akan pernah mengalami kematian lagi. Tidak akan ada lagi perkabungan atau tangisan ataupun kesakitan sebab dunia yang dulu itu sudah tidak ada lagi.”
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. Death shall be no more; nor sorrow, nor wail of woe, nor pain; for the first things have passed away."
5 Dan Dia yang duduk di atas takhta berkata, “Aku akan membuat segala sesuatunya menjadi baru!” Kata-Nya kepadaku, “Tuliskanlah semua ini, sebab segala perkataan ini adalah benar dan dapat dipercaya.”
Then He who was seated on the throne said, "I am re-creating all things." And He added, "Write down these words, for they are trustworthy and true."
6 Lalu kata-Nya kepadaku, “Semua sudah selesai! Akulah yang dikatakan Yang Pertama dan Yang Terakhir, yang awal dan yang akhir. Kepada siapapun yang haus, akan Aku berikan air dari mata air kehidupan dengan cuma-cuma.
He also said, "They have now been fulfilled. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To those who are thirsty I will give the privilege of drinking from the well of the Water of Life without payment.
7 Mereka yang menang akan mewarisi semua hal ini, dan Aku akan menjadi Allah mereka dan mereka akan disebut anak-anak-Ku.
All this shall be the heritage of him who overcomes, and I will be his God and he shall be one of My sons.
8 Tetapi untuk mereka yang pengecut, yang tidak pernah percaya kepada-Ku, yang melakukan perbuatan-perbuatan yang menjijikkan, para pembunuh, tukang selingkuh, penyihir, penyembah berhala, tukang bohong — takdir mereka adalah danau yang terbakar dengan api dan belerang. Inilah kematian yang kedua.” (Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)
9 Salah satu dari ketujuh malaikat yang memegang tujuh mangkuk yang berisi ketujuh wabah datang dan berbicara kepadaku. Katanya, “Ikutlah, dan akan saya perlihatkan kepadamu sang pengantin perempuan, pasangan dari Anak Domba.”
Then there came one of the seven angels who were carrying the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues. "Come with me," he said, "and I will show you the Bride, the Lamb's wife."
10 Dia membawaku di dalam Roh ke atas puncak gunung yang sangat tinggi. Di sana dia menunjukkan kepadaku kota kudus Yerusalem diturunkan oleh Allah dari Surga,
So in the Spirit he carried me to the top of a vast, lofty mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from God,
11 bersinar dengan kemuliaan hadirat Allah. Cahaya berkilau seperti dari batu permata, jasper, jernih dan terang.
and bringing with it the glory of God. It shone with a radiance like that of a very precious stone--such as a jasper, bright and transparent.
12 Tembok kota itu tinggi dan tebal, dengan dua belas gerbang yang dijaga oleh dua belas malaikat. Pada pintu-pintu gerbang itu tertulis nama dari dua belas suku Israel.
It has a wall, massive and high, with twelve large gates, and in charge of the gates were twelve angels. And overhead, above the gates, names were inscribed which are those of the twelve tribes of the descendants of Israel.
13 Ada tiga pintu gerbang di masing-masing sisi tembok itu, yaitu di sebelah timur, utara, selatan dan barat.
There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south, and three on the west.
14 Tembok kota itu memiliki dua belas fondasi, dan tertulis di atasnya nama-nama ke dua belas rasul Anak Domba.
The wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and engraved upon them were twelve names--the names of the twelve Apostles of the Lamb.
15 Malaikat yang berbicara kepadaku memiliki tongkat pengukur yang berwarna mas untuk mengukur kota itu, pintu-pintu gerbangnya dan temboknya.
Now he who was speaking to me had a measuring-rod of gold, with which to measure the city and its gates and its wall.
16 Kota itu berbentuk kotak. Panjangnya sama dengan lebarnya. Dia mengukur kota itu dengan tongkat, sekitar 12.000 stadia. Panjang, lebar dan tinggi kota itu sama.
The plan of the city is a square, the length being the same as the breadth; and he measured the city furlong by furlong, with his measuring rod--it is twelve hundred miles long, and the length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17 Malaikat itu juga mengukur tembok kota itu dan tebalnya 144 hasta dalam ukuran manusia yang dipakai oleh malaikat itu.
And he measured the wall of it--a wall of a hundred and forty-four cubits, according to human measure, which was also that of the angel.
18 Dindingnya dibangun dari jasper. Kota itu sendiri terbuat dari emas murni yang sebening kaca.
The solid fabric of the wall was jasper; and the city itself was made of gold, resembling transparent glass.
19 Fondasi dari tembok kota dihiasi dengan seluruh jenis batu permata yang ada. Fondasi pertama adalah yaspis, safir kedua, kalsedon ketiga, zamrud keempat,
As for the foundation-stones of the city wall, which were beautified with various kinds of precious stones, the first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius,
20 sardonyx kelima, akik keenam, chrysolite ketujuh, beryl kedelapan, topas kesembilan, kesepuluh, chrysoprase, jacinth kesebelas, batu kecubung kedua belas.
the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst.
21 Kedua belas pintu gerbang itu terbuat dari mutiara, masing-masing terbuat dari satu mutiara. Jalan utamanya terbuat dari emas murni, jernih seperti kaca.
And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each of them consisting of a single pearl. And the main street of the city was made of pure gold, resembling transparent glass.
22 Saya tidak melihat adanya rumah Tuhan di sana, sebab Tuhan Allah Mahakuasa, dan sang Anak Domba, merekalah yang menjadi seperti rumah Tuhan.
I saw no sanctuary in the city, for the Lord God, the Ruler of all, is its Sanctuary, and so is the Lamb.
23 Kota itu tidak memerlukan matahari ataupun bulan untuk menyinarinya sebab kemuliaan Allah menyediakan terangnya — Anak Domba adalah pelitanya.
Nor has the city any need of the sun or of the moon, to give it light; for the glory of God has shone upon it and its lamp is the Lamb.
24 Bangsa-bangsa akan berjalan dengan cahayanya, dan raja-raja di bumi membawa kemuliaan mereka ke dalam kota.
The nations will live their lives by its light; and the kings of the earth are to bring their glory into it.
25 Pintu-pintu gerbang kota tidak akan pernah ditutup pada siang hari (dan tidak akan ada malam di sana).
And in the daytime (for there will be no night there) the gates will never be closed;
26 Kehormatan dan kemuliaan bangsa-bangsa akan dibawa masuk ke dalam kota itu.
and the glory and honor of the nations shall be brought into it.
27 Segala sesuatu yang tidak kudus tidak akan bisa memasuki kota itu, dan siapapun yang menyembah berhala, atau penipu. Hanya mereka yang namanya tertulis di dalam Kitab Kehidupan Anak Domba yang boleh masuk ke dalam kota itu.
And no unclean thing shall ever enter it, nor any one who is guilty of base conduct or tells lies, but only they whose names stand recorded in the Lamb's Book of Life.
