1 Yohanes 4
1 Teman-teman yang terkasih, jangan percaya setiap roh, tetapi ujilah roh-roh itu untuk mengetahui apakah mereka berasal dari Allah, karena ada banyak nabi palsu di dunia ini.
Beloved, not every spirit do believe but do test the spirits whether of God they are, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
2 Bagaimana kalian bisa mengenali Roh Allah? Setiap roh yang menerima Yesus Kristus datang ke dunia ini dengan tubuh manusia berasal dari Allah
By this (you know *NK(O)*) the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses Jesus Christ in [the] flesh having come of God is.
3 sementara setiap roh yang tidak menerima Yesus, roh itu bukan dari Allah. Sesungguhnya itu adalah roh antikristus yang kalian dengar akan datang, dan yang sudah ada di dunia.
and any spirit that not confesses Jesus (Christ in flesh having come *K*) from God not is; And this is that of the antichrist which you have heard that is coming and now in the world is already.
4 Tetapi kita adalah milik Allah, teman-temanku, dan kita sudah mengalahkan mereka, karena Roh yang ada di dalam kita lebih besar dari pada roh yang ada di dunia.
you yourselves from God are, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is the [One] in you than the [one] in the world.
5 Mereka milik dunia, jadi mereka berbicara seperti orang dunia, dan dunia mendengarkan mereka.
They themselves of the world are; because of this from out of the world they speak and the world to them listens.
6 Kita adalah milik Allah dan siapa pun yang mengenal Allah mendengarkan kita, sementara siapa pun yang bukan milik Allah tidak mendengarkan kita. Beginilah cara kita membedakan Roh Kebenaran dari roh tipu daya.
We ourselves of God are; The [one] knowing God listens to us; He who not is from God not listens to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
7 Teman-teman yang terkasih, mari kita terus saling mengasihi, karena kasih datang dari Allah. Semua orang yang mengasihi berasal dari Allah dan mengenal Allah.
Beloved, we may love one another, because love from God is and everyone who is loving from God has been born and knows God;
8 Mereka yang tidak mengasihi tidak mengenal Allah, karena Allah adalah kasih.
The [one] not loving not has known God, because God love is.
9 Bagaimana kasih Allah diperlihatkan kepada kita? Allah mengutus Putra-Nya, satu-satunya, ke dunia sehingga kita bisa hidup melalui Dia.
In this has been revealed the love of God among us, that the Son of Him the one and only has sent God into the world so that we may live through Him.
10 Inilah kasih itu! Bukan karena kita sudah mengasihi Allah, tetapi karena Dia sudah mengasihi kita, dan Dia mengutus Putra-Nya untuk menjadi rekonsiliasi bagi dosa-dosa kita.
In this is love, not that we ourselves (have loved *N(k)O*) God, but that He himself loved us and He sent the Son of Him [as] a propitiation for the sins of us.
11 Sahabat, jika ini adalah cara Allah mengasihi kita, kita harus mengasihi satu sama lain seperti ini juga.
Beloved, if so God loved us, also we ourselves ought one another to love;
12 Tidak ada yang pernah melihat Allah. Namun, jika kita saling mengasihi maka Allah tinggal di dalam kita, dan kasih-Nya disempurnakan di dalam kita.
God no [one] at any time has seen; if we shall love one another, God in us abides and the love of Him in us perfected is.
13 Bagaimana kita dapat mengetahui bahwa kita hidup di dalam dia, dan bahwa Dia hidup di dalam kita? Dia memberi kita kemampuan untuk mengasihi dengan Roh-Nya.
By this we know that in Him we abide and He in us, because from out the Spirit of Him He has given to us.
14 Karena kami adalah saksi dari apa yang sudah kami lihat dan bersaksi bahwa Bapa mengutus Putra-Nya sebagai Juruselamat dunia.
And we ourselves have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son [as] Savior of the world.
15 Allah berdiam di dalam setiap orang yang menyatakan bahwa Yesus adalah Anak Allah, dan mereka berdiam di dalam Allah.
Who[ever] (maybe *N(k)O*) shall confess that Jesus (Christ *O*) is the Son of God, God in him abides and he in God.
16 Kita sudah mengalami dan mempercayai kasih yang Allah sediakan bagi kita. Allah adalah kasih, dan mereka yang hidup dalam kasih, hidup di dalam Allah, dan Allah hidup di dalam mereka.
And we ourselves have come to know and we have come to believe the love that has God as to us. God love is, and the [one] abiding in love in God abides, and God in him (abides. *NO*)
17 Beginilah kasih menjadi lengkap dalam diri kita sehingga kita dapat yakin pada Hari Penghakiman: oleh kenyataan bahwa kita memiliki gaya hidup yang sama seperti Dia di dunia ini.
In this has been perfected love with us, so that confidence we may have in the day of judgment, that even as He is also we ourselves are in world this.
18 Di mana ada kasih tidak ada rasa takut. Allah mengasihi kita sepenuhnya, dan kasih ini menyingkirkan semua ketakutan kita. Jika kita benar-benar takut, itu karena kita takut dihukum, dan ini menunjukkan bahwa kita belum sepenuhnya diciptakan kembali oleh kelengkapan kasih Allah.
Fear no there is in love, but perfect love out casts fear, because the fear punishment has; the [one] now fearing not has been perfected in love.
19 Kita mengasihi karena Dia lebih dulu mengasihi kita.
We ourselves love (him *K*) because He himself first loved us.
20 Siapa pun yang berkata, “Aku mengasihi Allah,” tetapi membenci saudara atau saudari Kristen, adalah pembohong. Siapapun yang tidak mengasihi seorang saudara yang dapat mereka lihat, tidak dapat mengasihi Allah yang tidak dapat mereka lihat.
If anyone shall say that I love God and the brother of him may hate, a liar he is; The [one] for not loving the brother of him whom he has seen, God whom not he has seen (not *N(K)O*) is he able to love;
21 Ini adalah perintah yang Dia berikan kepada kita: mereka yang mengasihi Allah juga mengasihi saudara dan saudari mereka.
And this the commandment we have from Him, that the [one] loving God may love also the brother of him.
