Mazmur 97

1 TUHAN adalah Raja! Hendaklah bumi bergembira, dan pulau-pulau bersukacita.

For David, when his land is established. The Lord reigns, let the earth exult, let many islands rejoice.

2 Ia dikelilingi awan dan kegelapan; keadilan dan hukum adalah azas pemerintahan-Nya.

Cloud, and darkness are round about him; righteousness and judgment are the establishment of his throne.

3 Api menjalar di hadapan-Nya, menghanguskan musuh di sekeliling-Nya.

Fire shall go before him, and burn up his enemies round about.

4 Kilatnya menerangi dunia, bumi gemetar melihat-Nya.

His lightnings appeared to the world; the earth saw, and trembled.

5 Gunung-gunung meleleh seperti lilin di hadapan TUHAN, di hadapan TUHAN, penguasa seluruh bumi.

The mountains melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

6 Langit mewartakan keadilan-Nya, dan semua bangsa melihat kemuliaan-Nya.

The heavens have declared his righteousness, and all the people have seen his glory.

7 Semua orang yang menyembah berhala akan dipermalukan, yang membanggakan barang-barang yang tidak berguna; semua dewa akan sujud di hadapan TUHAN.

Let all that worship graven images be ashamed, who boast of their idols; worship him, all you his angels.

8 Penduduk Sion dan kota-kota Yehuda senang ketika mendengar keputusan TUHAN.

Sion heard and rejoiced; and the daughters of Judea exulted, because of your judgments, O Lord.

9 Sebab Engkau, ya TUHAN, penguasa seluruh bumi; Engkau agung melebihi segala dewa.

For you are Lord most high over all the earth; you are greatly exalted above all gods.

10 Hai kamu yang mencintai TUHAN, bencilah kejahatan! Sebab TUHAN melindungi hidup umat-Nya, Ia membebaskan mereka dari kuasa orang durhaka.

You that love the Lord, hate evil; the Lord preserves the souls of his saints; he shall deliver them from the hand of sinners.

11 Terang sudah terbit bagi orang yang tulus hati, dan sukacita untuk orang yang jujur.

Light is sprung up for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

12 Bergembiralah, hai orang-orang yang tulus hati karena apa yang telah dilakukan TUHAN, dan bersyukurlah kepada Allah yang suci.

Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous; and give thanks for a remembrance of his holiness.
