Mazmur 40
1 Untuk pemimpin kor. Mazmur Daud.
To the choirmaster of David a psalm. Certainly I waited for Yahweh and he stretched out to me and he heard cry for help my.
2 Ia menarik aku dari lubang yang berbahaya, dari lumpur rawa. Ia menempatkan aku di atas bukit batu, sehingga langkahku mantap.
And he brought up me - from a pit of roaring from [the] mud of the mire and he set on a rock feet my he established steps my.
3 Ia mengajar aku menyanyikan lagu baru, lagu pujian untuk Allah kita. Banyak orang melihatnya dan menjadi takut, lalu percaya kepada TUHAN.
And he put in mouth my - a song new praise to God our they will see many [people] so they may fear and they may trust in Yahweh.
4 Berbahagialah orang yang percaya kepada TUHAN, yang tidak ikut menyembah dewa-dewa, atau minta tolong kepada orang sombong.
How blessed! [is] the man who he has made Yahweh trust his and not he has turned to proud people and [those who] fall away of falsehood.
5 TUHAN, betapa banyaknya karya-Mu bagi kami, ya TUHAN Allahku, Engkau tak ada taranya! Banyaklah rencana-Mu yang menakjubkan bagi kami, tak mungkin diceritakan semuanya.
Many you have made - you - O Yahweh God my wonders your and plans your to us not - to compare to you I will declare and I will speak they are [too] numerous for recounting.
6 Persembahan dan kurban sajian tidak Kausukai, kurban bakaran dan kurban penghapus dosa tidak Kautuntut. Tetapi Engkau telah memberi aku telinga yang dapat mendengar suara-Mu.
Sacrifice and offering - not you desired ears you dug for me burnt offering and sin offering not you asked for.
7 Lalu aku berkata, "Inilah aku, dalam gulungan buku tertulis bagiku.
Then I said here! I have come in [the] scroll of [the] book [it is] written on me.
8 Aku senang melakukan kehendak-Mu, ya Allah, hukum-Mu kusimpan di dalam hati."
To do will your O God my I desire and law your [is] in [the] midst of inward parts my.
9 Dalam himpunan umat-Mu kuwartakan kabar gembira bahwa Engkau telah menyelamatkan kami. Dengan tiada hentinya hal itu kumaklumkan, Engkau tahu semua itu, ya TUHAN.

10 Kabar keselamatan itu tidak kusimpan dalam hati, pertolongan dan kesetiaan-Mu selalu kuberitakan. Di depan himpunan umat-Mu aku tidak berdiam diri, tetapi kumaklumkan kasih dan kesetiaan-Mu.
Righteousness your not I have concealed - in [the] midst of heart my faithfulness your and salvation your I have spoken not I have hidden covenant loyalty your and faithfulness your to [the] assembly great.
11 TUHAN, janganlah berhenti mengasihani aku; lindungilah aku selalu dengan kasih dan kesetiaan-Mu.
You O Yahweh not you will withhold compassion your from me covenant loyalty your and faithfulness your continually they preserve me.
12 Aku dikepung malapetaka yang banyak, jumlahnya tak dapat dihitung. Aku dikejar dosa-dosaku sampai aku tak dapat melihat. Jumlahnya melebihi rambut di kepalaku, membuat aku putus asa.
For they have surrounded me - troubles until there not [was] number they have overtaken me iniquities my and not I am able to see they are numerous more than [the] hairs of head my and heart my it has abandoned me.
13 Ya TUHAN, selamatkanlah aku, TUHAN bergegaslah menolong aku!
Be pleased O Yahweh to deliver me O Yahweh to help my make haste!
14 Biarlah orang yang ingin membunuh aku dikalahkan dan lari kebingungan. Biarlah orang yang menyoraki kemalanganku dipukul mundur dan dihina.
May they be ashamed and they may be abashed - altogether [those who] seek life my to snatch away it may they be turned back backwards and may they be humiliated [the] [people] desirous of harm my.
15 Biarlah orang yang menertawakan aku menjadi terkejut dan malu.
May they be appalled on [the] consequence of shame their those [who] say to me aha! - aha!
16 Semoga semua orang yang menyembah Engkau bersukacita dan bergembira, dan semua yang mencintai keselamatan daripada-Mu terus berkata, "Sungguh agunglah TUHAN!"
May they exult and they may rejoice - in you all [those who] seek you may they say continually he is great Yahweh [those who] love salvation your.
17 Aku ini miskin dan lemah, tetapi TUHAN memperhatikan aku. Engkaulah penolong dan penyelamatku, jangan berlambat, ya Allahku!
And I - [am] poor and needy [the] Lord may he think to me [are] help my and deliverer my you O God my may not you delay.
