Mazmur 28
1 Mazmur Daud. Ya TUHAN, kepada-Mu aku berseru, Engkau pembelaku, dengarlah seruanku. Bila Engkau membisu terhadapku, aku seperti orang yang turun ke liang kubur.
David’s. Unto thee, O Yahweh, do I cry, O my Rock! do not turn in silence from me, —lest, if thou turn from me in silence, I be like them who go down into the pit.
2 Dengarlah permohonanku bila aku berteriak minta tolong, dan mengangkat tanganku ke arah Rumah-Mu yang suci.
Hear the voice of my supplication, when I cry to thee for help, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy shrine.
3 Jangan menumpas aku bersama orang durhaka, bersama orang yang melakukan kejahatan. Mereka berbicara dengan ramah, tetapi hati mereka penuh kebusukan.
Do not drag me away—with the lawless, or with the workers of iniquity, —who speak peaceably with their neighbours, but, wrong, is in their heart.
4 Hukumlah mereka karena perbuatan mereka, karena kejahatan yang mereka lakukan. Hukumlah mereka sesuai dengan perbuatan mereka; berilah mereka hukuman yang setimpal.
Give them, according to their deed, and, according to the wrong of their practices, —According to the work of their own hands, give thou unto them, Bring back their own dealing to themselves.
5 Mereka tidak mengindahkan perbuatan TUHAN, atau apa yang dikerjakan-Nya. Maka Ia akan menghukum mereka, dan membinasakan mereka untuk selama-lamanya.
Because they heed not The Deeds of Yahweh, or the Work of his hands, he will pull them down, and not build them.
6 Terpujilah TUHAN, sebab Ia telah mendengar permohonanku.
Blessed be Yahweh, Because he hath heard the voice of my supplication.
7 TUHAN pelindung dan pembelaku, aku percaya kepada-Nya. Ia menolong dan menggirangkan hatiku, aku memuji Dia dengan lagu syukur.
Yahweh, is my strength and my shield, In him, hath trusted my heart, and I have found help, —Therefore hath my heart danced for joy, and, with my song, do I praise him.
8 TUHAN memberi kekuatan kepada umat-Nya, Ia membela dan menyelamatkan raja pilihan-Nya.
Yahweh, is strength to his people, —And, the all-saving refuge of his Anointed One, is he!
9 Selamatkanlah umat-Mu, ya TUHAN, berkatilah orang-orang milik-Mu. Jadilah seperti seorang gembala bagi mereka, dan jagalah mereka untuk selama-lamanya.
Oh save thy people, and bless thine inheritance, Tend them also, and carry them, Unto times age-abiding.
