Mazmur 21

1 Untuk pemimpin kor. Mazmur Daud. Ya TUHAN, raja bergembira karena Engkau telah menguatkan dia; ia bersukacita karena kemenangan yang Kauberi kepadanya!

Unto the end. A Psalm of David. In your virtue, Lord, the king will rejoice, and over your salvation, he will exult exceedingly.

2 Engkau telah memenuhi keinginan hatinya, dan memberi apa yang dimintanya.

You have granted him the desire of his heart, and you have not cheated him of the wish of his lips.

3 Engkau datang kepadanya dengan berkat berlimpah, dan memasang mahkota emas di atas kepalanya.

For you have gone ahead of him with blessings of sweetness. You have placed a crown of precious stones on his head.

4 Ia mohon hidup, dan Kauberikan kepadanya, bahkan umur panjang untuk selama-lamanya.

He petitioned you for life, and you have granted him length of days, in the present time, and forever and ever.

5 Karena pertolongan-Mu ia menjadi sangat terhormat, Kaujadikan dia masyhur dan bersemarak.

Great is his glory in your salvation. Glory and great adornment, you will lay upon him.

6 Kauberkati dia untuk seterusnya; kehadiran-Mu membuat ia penuh sukacita.

For you will give him as a blessing forever and ever. You will make him rejoice with gladness in your presence.

7 Raja berharap kepada TUHAN Yang Mahatinggi, ia selalu aman sebab tetap dikasihi TUHAN.

Because the king hopes in the Lord, and in the mercy of the Most High, he will not be disturbed.

8 Ia akan menawan semua musuhnya, dan menangkap semua orang yang membenci Dia.

May your hand be found by all your enemies. May your right hand discover all those who hate you.

9 Ia datang seperti api yang menyala-nyala untuk membinasakan mereka. Mereka akan dimusnahkan oleh kemarahan TUHAN, dan oleh api yang menghanguskan.

You will make them like an oven of fire, in the time of your presence. The Lord will stir them up with his wrath, and fire will devour them.

10 Dari keturunan mereka tak ada yang tersisa, raja akan menumpas mereka semua.

You will destroy their fruit from the earth and their offspring from the sons of men.

11 Apabila mereka membuat rencana menentang raja, tipu muslihat mereka tak akan berhasil.

For they have turned evils upon you; they have devised plans, which they have not been able to accomplish.

12 Ia akan membidikkan panah-Nya, sehingga mereka berbalik dan lari.

For you will make them turn their back; with your remnants, you will prepare their countenance.

13 Kami memuji Engkau TUHAN, sebab besarlah kuasa-Mu, kami menyanyi memuji keperkasaan-Mu.

Be exalted, Lord, by your own power. We will play music and sing psalms to your virtues.
