Mazmur 149

1 Pujilah TUHAN! Nyanyikanlah lagu baru bagi TUHAN, pujilah Dia dalam kumpulan umat-Nya!

Praise Adonai! Sing to Adonai a new song, his tehilah ·praise song· in the assembly of the saints.

2 Bersukacitalah, hai Israel karena Penciptamu; bergembiralah, hai penduduk Sion karena Rajamu!

Let Israel [God prevails] rejoice in him who made them. Let the children of Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking] be joyful in their King.

3 Pujilah nama-Nya dengan tari-tarian, pujilah Dia dengan kecapi dan rebana!

Let them praise his name in the dance! Let them sing zahmar ·musical praise· to him with tambourine and harp!

4 TUHAN berkenan kepada umat-Nya; Ia memberi kemenangan kepada orang yang rendah hati.

For Adonai takes pleasure in his people. He crowns the humble with yishu'ah ·salvation·.

5 Biarlah umat Allah bersukaria karena kejayaan-Nya, dan menyanyi gembira sepanjang malam.

Let the saints rejoice in kavod ·weighty glory·. Let them sing for joy on their beds.

6 Biarlah mereka memuji Allah dengan suara lantang, sambil memegang pedang terasah

May the high praises of God be in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their hand;

7 untuk membalas bangsa-bangsa, dan menghukum suku-suku bangsa;

To execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples;

8 untuk membelenggu raja-raja, dan merantai para penguasa mereka;

To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

9 untuk menghukum bangsa-bangsa atas perintah Allah. Itulah kemenangan umat yang dikasihi-Nya. Pujilah TUHAN!
