Mazmur 147
1 Pujilah TUHAN! Sebab baiklah memuji Dia, dan menyenangkan untuk menyanyikan pujian bagi-Nya!
Praise all of you the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.
2 TUHAN akan memulihkan Yerusalem; orang-orang buangan akan dibawa-Nya pulang.
The LORD does build up Jerusalem: he gathers together the outcasts of Israel.
3 Ia menyembuhkan orang yang patah hati, dan membalut luka-luka mereka.
He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
4 Ia menentukan jumlah bintang di angkasa, dan masing-masing diberi-Nya nama.
He tells the number of the stars; he calls them all by their names.
5 Sungguh besar dan hebat TUHAN kita, kebijaksanaan-Nya tidak terhingga.
Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
6 Ia menegakkan orang yang tertindas, tetapi orang jahat dicampakkan-Nya ke tanah.
The LORD lifts up the meek: he casts the wicked down to the ground.
7 Nyanyikanlah puji-pujian bagi TUHAN, mainkanlah kecapi bagi Allah kita.
Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:
8 Dialah yang membentangkan awan di langit; Ia menyediakan hujan bagi bumi, dan membuat rumput tumbuh di bukit.
Who covers the heaven with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow upon the mountains.
9 Ia memberi makanan kepada hewan, dan kepada anak burung gagak yang memanggil-manggil.
He gives to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.
10 Kesukaan TUHAN bukanlah kuda yang kuat; bukan juga pejuang yang berani.
He delights not in the strength of the horse: he takes not pleasure in the legs of a man.
11 TUHAN senang kepada orang yang takwa, kepada orang yang tetap mengharapkan kasih-Nya.
The LORD takes pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.
12 Pujilah TUHAN, hai Yerusalem! Pujilah Allahmu, hai Sion!
Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise your God, O Zion.
13 Sebab Ia mengukuhkan pintu-pintu gerbangmu, dan memberkati pendudukmu.
For he has strengthened the bars of your gates; he has blessed your children within you.
14 Ia menjaga daerahmu supaya tetap aman, dan mengenyangkan engkau dengan gandum yang terbaik.
He makes peace in your borders, and fills you with the finest of the wheat.
15 Ia memberi perintah kepada bumi, dan perkataan-Nya segera dilakukan.
He sends forth his commandment upon earth: his word runs very swiftly.
16 Ia menurunkan salju seperti kapas, dan menghamburkan embun beku seperti abu.
He gives snow like wool: he scatters the hoarfrost like ashes.
17 Ia menurunkan hujan es seperti kerikil; tak ada yang tahan menghadapi dinginnya.
He casts forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?
18 Lalu atas perintah-Nya es itu mencair; Ia meniupkan angin, maka air pun mengalir.
He sends out his word, and melts them: he causes his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
19 Ia menyampaikan pesan-Nya kepada umat-Nya, ketetapan dan hukum-Nya kepada umat pilihan-Nya.
He shows his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.
20 Ia tidak berbuat begitu kepada bangsa-bangsa lain, mereka tidak mengenal hukum-hukum-Nya. Pujilah TUHAN!
He has not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise all of you the LORD.
