< Mazmur 116 >

1 Aku mencintai TUHAN, sebab Ia mendengarkan aku dan memperhatikan permohonanku.
It is lovely to me that the Lord heareth my voice, my supplications.
2 Ia mendengarkan aku, setiap kali aku berseru kepada-Nya.
For he hath inclined his ear unto me: therefore throughout all my days will I call on him.
3 Aku diancam bahaya maut; kengerian maut menyergap aku, membuat aku gelisah dan takut. (Sheol h7585)
The bands of death had compassed me, and the pangs of the nether world had overtaken me; I had met with distress and sorrow: (Sheol h7585)
4 Maka aku berseru kepada TUHAN, "Ya TUHAN, aku mohon, selamatkanlah aku!"
I then called on the name of the Lord, I beseech thee, O Lord, release my soul.
5 TUHAN itu pengasih dan adil; Allah kita penuh belas kasihan.
Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; and our God is merciful.
6 TUHAN memelihara orang-orang sederhana; waktu aku tak berdaya diselamatkan-Nya aku.
The Lord preserveth the simple: I was in misery, and he helped me.
7 Kutenangkan hatiku, sebab TUHAN baik kepadaku.
Return, O my soul, unto thy rest; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee.
8 TUHAN telah meluputkan aku dari kematian; dihibur-Nya aku dan tidak dibiarkan-Nya terjatuh.
For thou hast delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from falling.
9 Maka aku boleh menikmati hidup di dunia ini, di dalam perlindungan TUHAN.
I will walk before the Lord in the land of life.
10 Aku tetap percaya, sekalipun aku berkata, "Aku sangat tertekan."
I believe, therefore will I speak: I was greatly afflicted;
11 Dalam kebingunganku aku berkata, "Tak seorang pun dapat dipercaya."
I indeed said in my despondency, Every man is a liar.
12 Apa yang akan kuberikan kepada TUHAN untuk membalas kebaikan-Nya bagiku?
What shall I give in return unto the Lord for all his bounties toward me?
13 Aku akan membawa persembahan anggur bagi TUHAN untuk bersyukur atas pertolongan-Nya.
The cup of salvation will I lift up, and on the name of the Lord will I call.
14 Aku akan memenuhi janjiku kepada-Nya di depan seluruh umat-Nya.
My vows will I pay unto the Lord, yea, in the presence of all his people.
15 TUHAN sangat menyayangkan kematian seorang yang dikasihi-Nya.
Grievous in the eyes of the Lord is the death of his pious ones.
16 Aku ini hamba-Mu, ya TUHAN, seperti ibuku, aku pun berbakti kepada-Mu Engkau telah melepaskan aku dari tahanan.
O Lord, truly am I thy servant, I am thy servant, —the son of thy handmaid: thou hast loosened my fetters.
17 Aku akan membawa kurban syukur kepada-Mu, sambil mengunjukkan doa kepada-Mu.
Unto thee will I offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and on the name of the Lord will I call.
18 Aku akan memenuhi janjiku kepada TUHAN, di depan seluruh umat-Nya
My vows will I pay unto the Lord, yea, in the presence of all his people,
19 yang berhimpun di pelataran Rumah TUHAN, di tengah kota Yerusalem. Pujilah TUHAN!
In the courts of the house of the Lord, in thy midst, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah.
