Mazmur 101

1 Mazmur Daud. Aku mau menyanyi tentang kesetiaan dan keadilan, bagi-Mu, ya TUHAN, nyanyian pujianku!

I will sing of loving kindness and justice. To thee, O Jehovah, I will sing praises.

2 Aku mau memperhatikan cara hidup yang tak bercela. Bilakah Engkau datang kepadaku? Aku mau hidup suci di rumahku,

I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when will thou come to me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

3 kejahatan tak akan kubiarkan. Kubenci perbuatan orang murtad, dan tak mau berurusan dengan mereka.

I will set no base thing before my eyes. I hate the work of those who turn aside. It shall not cleave to me.

4 Aku tak mau berlaku curang dan tak mau terlibat dalam kejahatan.

A perverse heart shall depart from me. I will know no evil thing.

5 Orang yang memfitnah dengan diam-diam akan kubinasakan. Orang yang sombong dan tinggi hati tak akan kubiarkan.

He who slanders his neighbor secretly, him I will destroy. He who has a high look and a proud heart I will not endure.

6 Kusukai orang yang setia kepada Allah; mereka boleh tinggal di rumahku. Orang yang hidup tanpa cela boleh melayani aku.

My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me. He who walks in a perfect way, he shall minister to me.

7 Penipu tak boleh tinggal di rumahku; pembohong tak akan tahan di hadapanku.

He who works deceit shall not dwell within my house. He who speaks falsehood shall not be established before my eyes.

8 Dari hari ke hari aku akan membasmi orang-orang jahat di negeri ini. Semua orang yang melakukan kejahatan akan kulenyapkan dari kota TUHAN.

Morning by morning I will destroy all the wicked of the land, to cut off all the workers of iniquity from the city of Jehovah.
