Imamat 18
1 TUHAN menyuruh Musa
Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out],
2 menyampaikan kepada bangsa Israel perintah ini, "Akulah TUHAN Allahmu.
“Speak to the children of Israel [God prevails], and say to them, ‘I am Adonai your God.
3 Janganlah meniru perbuatan orang di Mesir, tempat kamu pernah tinggal, atau orang di Kanaan, ke mana Aku sekarang membawa kamu.
You shall not do as they do in the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery], where you lived: and you shall not do as they do in the land of Canaan [Humbled], where I am bringing you. You shall not follow their regulations.
4 Taatilah hukum-hukum-Ku dan lakukanlah apa yang Kuperintahkan. Akulah TUHAN Allahmu.
You shall do my judgments, and you shall keep my regulations, and walk in them: I am Adonai your God.
5 Taatilah peraturan-peraturan dan hukum-hukum yang Kuberikan kepadamu. Kalau kamu berbuat begitu, hidupmu selamat. Akulah TUHAN."
You shall therefore keep my regulations and my judgments; which if a man does them, he shall live in them. I am Adonai.
6 TUHAN memberikan peraturan-peraturan ini. Jangan bersetubuh dengan salah seorang dari sanak saudaramu.
“‘None of you shall approach anyone who are his close relatives, to uncover their nakedness: I am Adonai.
7 Jangan bersetubuh dengan ibumu, istri ayahmu, sebab dia hak ayahmu.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father, nor the nakedness of your mother: she is your mother. You shall not uncover her nakedness.
8 Jangan menghina ayahmu dengan bersetubuh dengan salah seorang istrinya yang lain.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife. It is your father’s nakedness.
9 Jangan bersetubuh dengan saudaramu perempuan atau saudara tirimu, baik yang dibesarkan serumah dengan engkau maupun yang dibesarkan di rumah lain.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your sister, the daughter of your father, or the daughter of your mother, whether born at home, or born abroad.
10 Jangan bersetubuh dengan cucumu; itu akan membuat malu dirimu sendiri.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your son’s daughter, or of your daughter’s daughter, even their nakedness: for theirs is your own nakedness.
11 Jangan bersetubuh dengan saudaramu perempuan yang seayah lain ibu atau seibu lain ayah, karena dia saudaramu juga.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife’s daughter, conceived by your father, since she is your sister.
12 Jangan bersetubuh dengan bibimu, baik ia saudara ayahmu atau saudara ibumu.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s sister: she is your father’s near kinswoman.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister: for she is your mother’s near kinswoman.
14 Jangan bersetubuh dengan istri pamanmu, karena dia bibimu juga.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s brother by not approaching his wife. She is your aunt.
15 Jangan bersetubuh dengan anak menantumu
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law: she is your son’s wife. You shall not uncover her nakedness.
16 atau dengan istri abangmu.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother’s wife. It is your brother’s nakedness.
17 Jangan bersetubuh dengan anak atau cucu seorang wanita yang pernah kaugauli. Mungkin mereka kerabatmu, dan itu perbuatan yang tidak senonoh.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter. You shall not take her son’s daughter, or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness; they are near kinswomen: it is wickedness.
18 Jangan kawin dengan saudara istrimu selama istrimu sendiri masih hidup.
“‘You shall not take a wife to her sister, to be a rival, to uncover her nakedness, while her sister is yet alive.
19 Jangan bersetubuh dengan seorang wanita selama masa haidnya, karena ia dalam keadaan najis.
“‘You shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is impure by her uncleanness.
20 Jangan bersetubuh dengan istri orang lain; perbuatan itu menjadikan engkau najis.
“‘You shall not lie carnally with your neighbor’s wife, and defile yourself with her.
21 Jangan menyerahkan salah seorang anakmu untuk dikurbankan dalam pemujaan Molokh, karena perbuatan itu menghina nama Allah, Tuhanmu.
“‘You shall not give any of your children to sacrifice to Molech. You shall not profane את the name of your God. I am Adonai.
22 Orang laki-laki tak boleh bersetubuh dengan orang laki-laki; Allah membenci perbuatan itu.
“‘You shall not go to bed with a man, as with a woman; it is an abomination.
23 Laki-laki maupun wanita, sekali-kali tak boleh bersetubuh dengan binatang; perbuatan jahat itu menajiskan kamu.
“‘You shall not lie with any animal to defile yourself with it. No woman may give herself to an animal, to lie down with it: it is a perversion.
24 Jangan menajiskan dirimu dengan perbuatan-perbuatan itu, sebab dengan cara itu bangsa-bangsa yang tinggal di Kanaan sebelum kamu telah menajiskan diri mereka. Karena itu mereka diusir oleh TUHAN, supaya kamu dapat mendiami negeri itu.
“‘Don’t defile yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations which I am casting out before you were defiled.
25 Mereka telah melakukan semua perbuatan yang menjijikkan itu, sehingga tanah mereka menjadi najis. Maka TUHAN menghukum mereka dan tidak mengizinkan mereka tinggal di sana. Tetapi kamu jangan sekali-kali melakukan perbuatan-perbuatan itu. Kamu semua, orang Israel dan orang asing yang menetap bersama kamu, harus mentaati peraturan dan perintah TUHAN,
The land was defiled: therefore I punished its depravity (moral evil), and the land vomited out her inhabitants.
You therefore shall keep my regulations and my judgments, and shall not do any of these abominations; neither the native-born, nor the stranger who lives as a foreigner among you;
(for the men of the land that were before you had done all these abominations, and the land became defiled);
28 supaya kamu jangan dihukum oleh-Nya dan diusir dari tanah itu seperti orang-orang yang tidak mengenal TUHAN, yang tinggal di sana sebelum kamu.
that the land not vomit you out also, when you defile it, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.
29 Kamu tahu bahwa barangsiapa melakukan perbuatan yang menjijikkan itu tidak lagi dianggap anggota umat Allah.
“‘For whoever shall do any of these abominations, even the souls that do them shall be cut off from among their people.
30 Maka TUHAN berkata, "Taatilah peraturan-peraturan yang Kuberikan dan janganlah meniru perbuatan orang-orang yang mendiami tanah Kanaan sebelum kamu. Jangan menajiskan dirimu sendiri dengan melakukan perbuatan-perbuatan itu. Aku TUHAN Allahmu."
Therefore you shall keep my requirements, that you do not practice any of these abominable regulations and customs, which were practiced before you, and that you do not defile yourselves with them. I am Adonai your God.’”
