Yeremia 43
1 Pesan TUHAN, Allah Israel, yang harus kusampaikan kepada rakyat telah kusampaikan seluruhnya.
And it was when had finished Jeremiah to speak to all the people all [the] words of Yahweh God their which he had sent him Yahweh God their to them all the words these.
2 Lalu Azarya anak Hosaya dan Yohanan anak Kareah serta semua orang lain yang sombong itu berkata kepadaku, "Engkau bohong. TUHAN Allah kami tidak menyuruh engkau melarang kami untuk pergi tinggal di Mesir.
And he said Azariah [the] son of Hoshaiah and Johanan [the] son of Kareah and all the people arrogant saying to Jeremiah falsehood you [are] speaking not he has sent you Yahweh God our saying not you must go Egypt to sojourn there.
3 Barukh anak Neria itulah yang menghasut engkau untuk menentang kami, supaya orang Babel menguasai kami dan dapat membunuh atau mengangkut kami ke Babel."
For Baruch [the] son of Neriah [is] inciting you against us so as to give us in [the] hand of the Chaldeans to put to death us and to take into exile us Babylon.
4 Baik Yohanan maupun semua perwira dan rakyat tak mau menuruti perintah TUHAN untuk tinggal di Yehuda.
And not he listened Johanan [the] son of Kareah and all [the] commanders of the armies and all the people to [the] voice of Yahweh to remain in [the] land of Judah.
5 Yohanan dan semua perwira itu membawa ke Mesir setiap orang yang masih ada di Yehuda, juga semua orang yang telah kembali dari negeri lain tempat mereka tersebar.
And he took Johanan [the] son of Kareah and all [the] commanders of the armies all [the] remnant of Judah who they had come back from all the nations where they had been driven away there to sojourn in [the] land of Judah.
6 Pria, wanita, anak-anak, dan putri-putri raja yang diserahkan Nebuzaradan kepada pengawasan Gedalya, termasuk aku dan Barukh, semuanya dibawa ke Mesir.
The men and the women and the little one[s] and [the] daughters of the king and every person whom he had left Nebuzaradan [the] chief of [the] bodyguards with Gedaliah [the] son of Ahikam [the] son of Shaphan and Jeremiah the prophet and Baruch [the] son of Neriah.
7 Mereka melawan perintah TUHAN, dan pergi ke Mesir sampai sejauh kota Tahpanhes.
And they went [the] land of Egypt for not they had listened to [the] voice of Yahweh and they came to Tahpanhes.
8 Di sana TUHAN berkata kepadaku,
And it came [the] word of Yahweh to Jeremiah in Tahpanhes saying.
9 "Ambillah batu-batu besar, dan tanamlah di dalam tanah di depan pintu masuk ke gedung pemerintah kota itu. Usahakan supaya orang-orang Yehuda melihat kau melakukan hal itu.
Take in hand your stones large and you will hide them in the mortar in the brick-terrace which [is] at [the] entrance of [the] house of Pharaoh in Tahpanhes to [the] eyes of [the] people Jews.
10 Lalu katakan kepada mereka bahwa Aku, TUHAN Yang Mahakuasa, Allah Israel, akan mendatangkan hamba-Ku Nebukadnezar raja Babel, ke tempat itu. Dan di atas batu-batu yang kautanam di dalam tanah itu, ia akan mendirikan takhtanya serta membentangkan kemah kerajaannya.
And you will say to them thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel here I [am] about to send and I will fetch Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon servant my and I will set throne his from above the stones these which I have hidden and he will spread out (state tent his *Q(K)*) over them.
11 Nebukadnezar akan datang dan mengalahkan Mesir. Dan orang-orang yang telah ditentukan untuk mati karena wabah penyakit akan mati karena wabah penyakit. Mereka yang ditentukan untuk diangkut sebagai tawanan akan diangkut sebagai tawanan, dan yang ditentukan untuk tewas dalam peperangan akan tewas dalam peperangan.
(And he will come *Q(K)*) and he will attack [the] land of Egypt [those] who [are] for death to death and [those] who [are] for captivity to captivity and [those] who [are] for the sword to the sword.
12 Aku akan menyalakan api di kuil-kuil dewa-dewa Mesir, dan raja Babel akan membakar patung-patung berhala di kuil-kuil atau mengangkutnya ke negerinya. Seperti seorang gembala membersihkan pakaiannya dari kutu, begitu juga raja Babel akan menyapu bersih Mesir lalu berangkat lagi dengan tak ada yang mengganggunya.
And I will kindle fire in [the] houses of [the] gods of Egypt and he will burn them and he will take captive them and he will delouse [the] land of Egypt just as he delouses the shepherd garment his and he will go out from there in peace.
13 Tugu-tugu berhala di Heliopolis di Mesir, akan dihancurkan, dan kuil-kuil dewa-dewa Mesir akan dibakar habis."
And he will break [the] sacred pillars of Beth Shemesh which [is] in [the] land of Egypt and [the] houses of [the] gods of Egypt he will burn with fire.
