Hagai 2
1 Pada tanggal dua puluh satu, bulan tujuh dalam tahun itu juga, TUHAN berbicara lagi melalui Nabi Hagai.
In the seventh [month], in the one and twentieth [day] of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,
2 TUHAN menyuruh Hagai berbicara kepada Gubernur Zerubabel, Imam Agung Yosua, serta rakyat untuk menyampaikan pesan ini,
Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people, saying,
3 "Adakah di antara kamu yang masih ingat betapa megahnya Rumah-Ku ini dahulu? Sekarang bagaimana keadaannya, menurut pendapatmu? Bukankah sama sekali tidak memuaskan?
Who is left among you that saw this house in its former glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes as nothing?
4 Namun, janganlah putus asa, hai kamu semua! Teruskanlah pekerjaan itu, sebab Aku akan tetap membantu kamu.
Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts,
5 Ketika kamu keluar dari Mesir, Aku telah berjanji akan selalu melindungi kamu. Dan sekarang pun Aku masih melindungi kamu. Jadi, tak perlu kamu cemas.
[according to] the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, and my spirit abode among you: fear ye not.
6 Dalam waktu yang dekat Aku akan menggoncangkan langit dan bumi, darat dan laut.
For thus saith the LORD of hosts: Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;
7 Semua bangsa akan Kugemparkan dan harta benda mereka akan dibawa ke mari, sehingga Rumah-Ku akan penuh dengan kekayaan mereka.
and I will shake all nations, and the desirable things of all nations shall come, and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.
8 Segala emas dan perak di dunia ini adalah milik-Ku.
The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.
9 Rumah-Ku yang baru akan lebih megah daripada yang dahulu, dan di sini Aku akan memberikan damai dan kemakmuran kepada bangsa-Ku." TUHAN Yang Mahakuasa telah berbicara.
The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.
10 Pada tanggal dua puluh empat bulan sembilan dalam tahun kedua pemerintahan Raja Darius, TUHAN Yang Mahakuasa berbicara lagi kepada Nabi Hagai.
In the four and twentieth [day] of the ninth [month], in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,
11 Kata-Nya, "Mintalah keputusan para imam mengenai persoalan ini:
Thus saith the LORD of hosts: Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying,
12 Seandainya ada orang yang mengambil sepotong daging dari kurban yang dipersembahkan kepada TUHAN, lalu dibawanya pulang dalam lipatan jubahnya, dan kemudian dengan jubahnya itu ia menyentuh roti atau sesuatu masakan, atau anggur, atau minyak zaitun, atau makanan apa saja, apakah semuanya itu akan menjadi suci pula?" Ketika Hagai mengajukan pertanyaan itu, para imam menjawab, "Tidak."
If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it become holy? And the priests answered and said, No.
13 Kemudian Hagai bertanya lagi, "Seandainya ada orang yang menjadi najis karena ia menyentuh mayat, dan kemudian ia menyentuh salah satu dari makanan itu, apakah makanan itu menjadi najis pula?" Para imam menjawab, "Ya, tentu saja!"
Then said Haggai, If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean.
14 Kemudian Hagai berkata lagi, "TUHAN mengatakan bahwa peraturan itu berlaku juga bagi umat Israel di negeri ini dan bagi segala sesuatu yang mereka hasilkan. Jadi, apa yang mereka persembahkan di mezbah ini adalah najis."
Then answered Haggai and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean.
15 TUHAN berkata, "Coba, perhatikanlah apa yang telah terjadi sebelum hari ini, yaitu sebelum Rumah-Ku ini diperbaiki! Bagaimanakah keadaanmu waktu itu?
And now, I pray you, consider from this day and upward, from before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of the LORD:
16 Kamu telah pergi melihat timbunan gandum dan menyangka akan mendapatkan 200 kilogram gandum, tetapi ternyata hanya ada 100 kilogram. Kamu pergi untuk mencedok 100 liter anggur dari tong anggur, tetapi yang ada hanya 40 liter.
Through all that time, when one came to an heap of twenty [measures], there were but ten; when one came to the winefat for to draw out fifty vessels, there were but twenty.
17 Aku telah menurunkan angin panas dan hujan batu untuk menghancurkan segala hasil ladangmu, tetapi kamu tak mau juga kembali kepada-Ku.
I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the work of your hands; yet ye [turned] not to me, saith the LORD.
18 Pada hari ini, tanggal dua puluh empat bulan sembilan, fondasi Rumah-Ku selesai diletakkan! Perhatikan apa yang akan terjadi mulai saat ini.
Consider, I pray you, from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth [month], since the day that the foundation of the LORD’S temple was laid, consider it.
19 Meskipun tak ada lagi gandum yang tinggal, dan pohon anggur, pohon ara, pohon delima dan pohon zaitun belum berbuah, tetapi mulai saat ini Aku akan memberkati kamu!"
Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree hath not brought forth; from this day will I bless [you].
20 Pada hari itu juga, yaitu tanggal dua puluh empat bulan sembilan, TUHAN memberikan pesan yang kedua kepada Hagai,
And the word of the LORD came the second time unto Haggai in the four and twentieth [day] of the month, saying,
21 untuk disampaikan kepada Gubernur Zerubabel. Kata TUHAN, "Tak lama lagi langit dan bumi akan Kuguncangkan,
Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth:
22 kerajaan-kerajaan Kurobohkan dan kuasa mereka Kuhancurkan. Kereta-kereta perang dengan pengemudinya akan Kujungkirbalikkan; semua kuda akan mati dan penunggang-penunggangnya akan saling membunuh.
and I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the nations; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother.
23 Pada hari itu engkau Zerubabel, hamba-Ku, akan Kuangkat untuk memerintah atas nama-Ku. Karena engkaulah yang telah Kupilih." TUHAN Yang Mahakuasa telah berbicara.
In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts.
