1 Inilah daftar keturunan Adam. (Pada waktu Allah menciptakan manusia, dijadikan-Nya mereka seperti Allah sendiri.
This [is] an account of the generations of Adam. In the day of God’s creating man, in the likeness of God He has made him;
2 Diciptakan-Nya mereka laki-laki dan perempuan. Diberkati-Nya mereka dan dinamakan-Nya mereka "Manusia".)
a male and a female He has created them, and He blesses them, and calls their name Man, in the day of their being created.
3 Ketika Adam berumur 130 tahun, ia mendapat anak laki-laki yang mirip dengan dirinya, lalu diberinya nama Set.
And Adam lives one hundred and thirty years [[or two hundred and thirty years]], and begets [a son] in his likeness, according to his image, and calls his name Seth.
4 Setelah itu Adam masih hidup 800 tahun lagi dan mendapat anak-anak lain.
And the days of Adam after his begetting Seth are eight hundred years [[or seven hundred years]], and he begets sons and daughters.
5 Ia meninggal pada usia 930 tahun.
And all the days of Adam which he lived are nine hundred and thirty years, and he dies.
6 Pada waktu Set berumur 105 tahun, ia mendapat anak laki-laki, namanya Enos.
And Seth lives one hundred and five years [[or two hundred and five years]], and begets Enos.
7 Setelah itu Set masih hidup 807 tahun lagi dan mendapat anak-anak lain.
And Seth lives after his begetting Enos eight hundred and seven years [[or seven hundred and seven years]], and begets sons and daughters.
8 Ia meninggal pada usia 912 tahun.
And all the days of Seth are nine hundred and twelve years, and he dies.
9 Pada waktu Enos berumur 90 tahun, ia mendapat anak laki-laki, namanya Kenan.
And Enos lives ninety years [[or one hundred and ninety years]], and begets Cainan.
10 Setelah itu Enos masih hidup 815 tahun lagi dan mendapat anak-anak lain.
And Enos lives after his begetting Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years [[or seven hundred and fifteen years]], and begets sons and daughters.
11 Ia meninggal pada usia 905 tahun.
And all the days of Enos are nine hundred and five years, and he dies.
12 Pada waktu Kenan berumur 70 tahun, ia mendapat anak laki-laki, namanya Mahalaleel.
And Cainan lives seventy years [[or one hundred and seventy years]], and begets Mahalaleel.
13 Kenan masih hidup 840 tahun lagi dan mendapat anak-anak lain.
And Cainan lives after his begetting Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years [[or seven hundred and forty years]], and begets sons and daughters.
14 Ia meninggal pada usia 910 tahun.
And all the days of Cainan are nine hundred and ten years, and he dies.
15 Pada waktu Mahalaleel berumur 65 tahun, ia mendapat anak laki-laki, namanya Yared.
And Mahalaleel lives sixty-five years [[or one hundred and sixty-five years]], and begets Jared.
16 Setelah itu Mahalaleel masih hidup 830 tahun lagi dan mendapat anak-anak lain.
And Mahalaleel lives after his begetting Jared eight hundred and thirty years [[or seven hundred and thirty years]], and begets sons and daughters.
17 Ia meninggal pada usia 895 tahun.
And all the days of Mahalaleel are eight hundred and ninety-five years, and he dies.
18 Pada waktu Yared berumur 162 tahun, ia mendapat anak laki-laki, namanya Henokh.
And Jared lives one hundred and sixty-two years, and begets Enoch.
19 Setelah itu Yared masih hidup 800 tahun lagi dan mendapat anak-anak lain.
And Jared lives after his begetting Enoch eight hundred years, and begets sons and daughters.
20 Ia meninggal pada usia 962 tahun.
And all the days of Jared are nine hundred and sixty-two years, and he dies.
21 Pada waktu Henokh berumur 65 tahun, ia mendapat anak laki-laki namanya Metusalah.
And Enoch lives sixty-five years [[or one hundred and sixty-five years]], and begets Methuselah.
22 Setelah itu Henokh hidup dalam persekutuan dengan Allah selama 300 tahun. Ia mendapat anak-anak lain
And Enoch habitually walks with God after his begetting Methuselah three hundred years [[or two hundred years]], and begets sons and daughters.
23 dan mencapai umur 365 tahun.
And all the days of Enoch are three hundred and sixty-five years.
24 Karena Henokh selalu hidup akrab dengan Allah, ia menghilang karena diambil oleh Allah.
And Enoch habitually walks with God, and he is not, for God has taken him.
25 Pada waktu Metusalah berumur 187 tahun, ia mendapat anak laki-laki, namanya Lamekh.
And Methuselah lives one hundred and eighty-seven years, and begets Lamech.
26 Setelah itu Metusalah masih hidup 782 tahun lagi dan mendapat anak-anak lain.
And Methuselah lives after his begetting Lamech seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begets sons and daughters.
27 Ia meninggal pada usia 969 tahun.
And all the days of Methuselah are nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he dies.
28 Pada waktu Lamekh berumur 182 tahun, ia mendapat anak laki-laki.
And Lamech lives one hundred and eighty-two years [[or one hundred and eighty-eight years]], and begets a son,
29 Lamekh berkata, "Anak ini akan memberi keringanan pada waktu kita bekerja keras mengolah tanah yang dikutuk TUHAN." Karena itu Lamekh menamakan anak itu Nuh.
and calls his name Noah, saying, “This [one] comforts us concerning our work, and concerning the labor of our hands, because of the ground which YHWH has cursed.”
30 Setelah itu Lamekh masih hidup 595 tahun lagi. Ia mendapat anak-anak lain,
And Lamech lives after his begetting Noah five hundred and ninety-five years [[or five hundred and sixty-five years]], and begets sons and daughters.
31 dan meninggal pada usia 777 tahun.
And all the days of Lamech are seven hundred and seventy-seven years [[or seven hundred and fifty-three years]], and he dies.
32 Setelah Nuh berumur 500 tahun, ia mendapat tiga anak laki-laki, yaitu Sem, Yafet dan Ham.
And Noah is a son of five hundred years, and Noah begets Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
