Kejadian 10
1 Inilah keturunan anak-anak Nuh, yaitu Sem, Yafet dan Ham. Sesudah banjir, ketiganya mendapat anak-anak lelaki.
Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: these are the sons which they had after the great flow of waters
2 Anak-anak Yafet ialah Gomer, Magog, Madai, Yawan, Tubal, Mesekh dan Tiras.
The sons of Japheth: Gomer and Magog and Madai and Javan and Tubal and Meshech and Tiras.
3 Keturunan Gomer adalah penduduk Askenas, Rifat dan Togarma.
And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz and Riphath and Togarmah.
4 Keturunan Yawan adalah penduduk Elisa, Spanyol, Siprus dan Rodes.
And the sons of Javan: Elishah and Tarshish, the Kittim and the Dodanim.
5 Mereka leluhur bangsa-bangsa yang tinggal di sepanjang pantai dan di pulau-pulau. Itulah semua keturunan Yafet. Setiap bangsa dan suku tinggal di negerinya masing-masing, dan mempunyai bahasanya sendiri.
From these came the nations of the sea-lands, with their different families and languages.
6 Anak-anak Ham ialah Kus, Mesir, Libia dan Kanaan.
And the sons of Ham: Cush and Mizraim and Put and Canaan.
7 Keturunan Kus ialah penduduk Seba, Hawila, Sabta, Raema dan Sabtekha. Keturunan Raema ialah penduduk Syeba dan Dedan.
And the sons of Cush: Seba and Havilah and Sabtah and Raamah and Sabteca; and the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.
8 Kus mempunyai anak laki-laki bernama Nimrod yang menjadi orang perkasa pertama di dunia.
And Cush was the father of Nimrod, who was the first of the great men of the earth.
9 Dengan pertolongan TUHAN dia menjadi pemburu yang ulung. Sebab itu orang biasa berkata, "Semoga TUHAN menjadikan engkau seorang pemburu yang ulung seperti Nimrod."
He was a very great bowman, so that there is a saying, Like Nimrod, a very great bowman.
10 Mula-mula kerajaannya meliputi Babel, Erekh, dan Akad, ketiga-tiganya di Babilonia.
And at the first, his kingdom was Babel and Erech and Accad and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
11 Dari sana ia pergi ke Asyur, lalu mendirikan kota Niniwe, Rehobot-Ir, Kalah,
From that land he went out into Assyria, building Nineveh with its wide streets and Calah,
12 dan Resen yang terletak di antara Niniwe dan Kalah. Semuanya itu adalah kota-kota besar.
And Resen between Nineveh and Calah, which is a very great town.
13 Keturunan Mesir adalah penduduk Lidia, Anamim, Lehabim, Naftuhim,
And Mizraim was the father of the Ludim and Anamim and Lehabim and Naphtuhim;
14 Patrusim, Kasluhim, dan Kaftorim. Bangsa Kasluhim itu leluhur bangsa Filistin.
And Pathrusim and Casluhim and Caphtorim, from whom came the Philistines.
15 Anak-anak Kanaan, ialah Sidon, yang sulung, dan Het.
And Canaan was the father of Zidon, who was his oldest son, and Heth,
16 Kanaan juga leluhur bangsa Yebusi, Amori, Girgasi,
And the Jebusite and the Amorite and the Girgashite,
17 orang Hewi, Arki, Sini,
And the Hivite and the Arkite and the Sinite,
18 Arwadi, Semari dan Hamati. Suku-suku bangsa Kanaan itu tersebar jauh,
And the Arvadite and the Zemarite and the Hamathite; after that the families of the Canaanites went far and wide in all directions;
19 sehingga batas-batas negeri mereka meluas dari Sidon ke selatan menuju Gerar, sampai dekat Gaza, dan ke timur menuju Sodom, Gomora, Adma, dan Zeboim, sampai dekat Lasa.
Their country stretching from Zidon to Gaza, in the direction of Gerar; and to Lasha, in the direction of Sodom and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboiim.
20 Itulah semua keturunan Ham. Setiap bangsa dan suku tinggal di negerinya masing-masing dan mempunyai bahasanya sendiri.
All these, with their different families, languages, lands, and nations, are the offspring of Ham.
21 Sem, abang Yafet, adalah leluhur semua bangsa Ibrani.
And Shem, the older brother of Japheth, the father of the children of Eber, had other sons in addition.
22 Anak-anak Sem ialah Elam, Asyur, Arpakhsad, Lud dan Aram.
These are the sons of Shem: Elam and Asshur and Arpachshad and Lud and Aram.
23 Keturunan Aram ialah penduduk Us, Hul, Geter dan Mas.
And the sons of Aram: Uz and Hul and Gether and Mash.
24 Arpakhsad ayah Selah. Dan Selah ayah Eber.
And Arpachshad became the father of Shelah; and Shelah became the father of Eber.
25 Eber mempunyai dua anak laki-laki; yang pertama bernama Peleg, karena pada zamannya bangsa-bangsa di dunia menjadi terbagi-bagi; yang kedua bernama Yoktan.
And Eber had two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, because in his time the peoples of the earth became separate; and his brother's name was Joktan.
26 Keturunan Yoktan adalah penduduk Almodad, Selef, Hazar-Mawet dan Yerah,
And Joktan was the father of Almodad and Sheleph and Hazarmaveth and Jerah
27 Hadoram, Uzal, Dikla,
And Hadoram and Uzal and Diklah
28 Obal, Abimael, Syeba,
And Obal and Abimael and Sheba
29 Ofir, Hawila dan Yobab. Semuanya itu keturunan Yoktan.
And Ophir and Havilah and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan.
30 Daerah tempat tinggal mereka meluas dari Mesa ke Sefar, yaitu daerah pegunungan di sebelah timur.
And their country was from Mesha, in the direction of Sephar, the mountain of the east.
31 Itulah semua keturunan Sem. Setiap bangsa dan suku tinggal di negerinya masing-masing dan mempunyai bahasanya sendiri.
These, with their families and their languages and their lands and their nations, are the offspring of Shem.
32 Semuanya itu keturunan Nuh, bangsa demi bangsa, menurut garis keturunan mereka masing-masing. Merekalah yang menurunkan bangsa-bangsa di dunia ini sesudah banjir besar itu.
These are the families of the sons of Noah, in the order of their generations and their nations: from these came all the nations of the earth after the great flow of waters.
