Ulangan 27
1 Kemudian bersama para pemimpin Israel, Musa menyampaikan pesan ini kepada bangsa itu, "Taatilah segala perintah yang saya berikan kepadamu hari ini.
Moses/I, along with the other Israeli leaders, said this to the people: “Obey all the commandments that I am giving to you today.
2 Pada hari kamu menyeberangi Sungai Yordan untuk masuk ke negeri yang diberikan TUHAN Allahmu kepadamu, kamu harus menegakkan beberapa batu besar lalu mengapurnya.
[Soon] you will cross the Jordan [River] and enter the land that Yahweh, the God whom our ancestors [worshiped], promised to give to you. There, in that very fertile [IDM] land on the [west] side of the Jordan [River], set up some large stones [on Ebal Mountain], and cover them with plaster. Then write on those stones all these laws and teachings/instructions.
3 Tuliskanlah pada batu-batu itu setiap perkataan dari hukum-hukum ini. Apabila kamu sudah masuk ke negeri yang kaya dan subur yang dijanjikan TUHAN, Allah nenek moyangmu kepadamu,
4 dan kamu sudah ada di seberang Sungai Yordan, kamu harus pergi ke Gunung Ebal. Di situ kamu harus menegakkan dan mengapur batu-batu itu seperti yang saya perintahkan kepadamu hari ini.
5 Di tempat itu harus juga kamu dirikan bagi TUHAN Allahmu sebuah mezbah dari batu-batu yang belum pernah dikerjakan dengan alat-alat besi,
And build a stone altar there to offer sacrifices to Yahweh, but do not cut those stones with iron tools.
6 sebab setiap mezbah yang didirikan untuk TUHAN Allahmu harus dibuat dari batu yang utuh. Di atas mezbah itu kamu harus mempersembahkan kurban-kurban bakaran.
The altar that you make to burn sacrifices to Yahweh our God must be made with uncut stones.
7 Persembahkanlah juga kurban perdamaianmu dan makanlah di situ serta bersukacitalah di hadapan TUHAN Allahmu.
And there you must sacrifice offerings to maintain fellowship with Yahweh, and you must eat [your share of those offerings] and rejoice/celebrate in the presence of Yahweh.
8 Di atas batu-batu yang dikapur itu harus kamu tulis dengan jelas setiap perkataan dari hukum-hukum Allah."
And, when you write these laws on those stones, you must write them very clearly.”
9 Kemudian bersama para imam Lewi, Musa berkata kepada seluruh bangsa Israel, "Saudara-saudara, perhatikanlah dan dengarlah! Hari ini kamu sudah menjadi umat TUHAN Allahmu.
Then Moses/I, along with the priests, said to all the Israeli people, “You Israeli people, be quiet and listen [to what I am saying]. Today you have become the people who belong to Yahweh, our God.
10 Sebab itu taatilah TUHAN Allahmu dan lakukanlah semua perintah-Nya yang saya berikan kepadamu hari ini."
So, you must do what he tells you, and obey all the rules and regulations that I am giving to you today.”
11 Lalu Musa berkata kepada bangsa Israel,
On that same day Moses/I said to the Israeli people,
12 "Sesudah kamu menyeberangi Sungai Yordan, suku Simeon, Lewi, Yehuda, Isakhar, Yusuf dan Benyamin harus berdiri di atas Gunung Gerizim pada waktu diucapkan berkat atas bangsa ini.
“After you have crossed over the Jordan [River], the tribes of Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph, and Benjamin must stand on Gerizim Mountain and [request Yahweh to] bless the people.
13 Pada waktu diucapkan kutuk, suku Ruben, Gad, Asyer, Zebulon, Dan serta Naftali harus berdiri di atas Gunung Ebal.
And the tribes of Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali must stand on Ebal Mountain and listen to the things that Yahweh will do when he curses the people.
14 Orang-orang Lewi harus mengucapkan kata-kata berikut ini dengan suara nyaring dan orang Israel harus menjawab, 'Amin'.
The descendants of Levi must shout these words loudly:
15 Orang-orang Lewi: 'Terkutuklah orang yang membuat patung dari batu, kayu atau logam, dan menyembahnya dengan sembunyi-sembunyi; TUHAN membenci pemujaan berhala!' Seluruh rakyat: 'Amin!'
‘Yahweh will curse anyone who makes an idol of stone, or of wood, or of metal, and secretly sets it up [and worships it]. Yahweh considers that those things, made by humans [SYN], are detestable/disgusting.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
16 'Terkutuklah orang yang tidak menghormati orang tuanya dan membiarkan mereka terlantar.' 'Amin!'
‘Yahweh will curse anyone who dishonors his father or his mother.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
17 'Terkutuklah orang yang menggeser batas tanah tetangganya.' 'Amin!'
‘Yahweh will curse anyone who removes someone else’s markers of property boundaries.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
18 'Terkutuklah orang yang menyesatkan orang buta.' 'Amin!'
‘Yahweh will curse anyone who leads a blind person to go (in the wrong direction/where that person does not want to go).’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
19 'Terkutuklah orang yang merampas hak orang asing, anak yatim piatu dan janda.' 'Amin!'
‘Yahweh will curse anyone who deprives foreigners or orphans or widows of the things that the laws state must be done for them.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
20 'Terkutuklah orang yang menghina ayahnya karena bersetubuh dengan salah seorang istri ayahnya.' 'Amin!'
‘Yahweh will curse anyone who (shows no respect for/disgraces his father) by having sex with [EUP] any of his father’s wives.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
21 'Terkutuklah orang yang bersetubuh dengan binatang.' 'Amin!'
‘Yahweh will curse anyone who has sex [EUP] with any animal.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
22 'Terkutuklah orang yang bersetubuh dengan saudaranya perempuan yang sekandung, atau saudaranya seayah atau seibu.' 'Amin!'
‘Yahweh will curse anyone who has sex with his sister or with his half-sister.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
23 'Terkutuklah orang yang bersetubuh dengan ibu mertuanya.' 'Amin!'
‘Yahweh will curse anyone who has sex with [EUP] his mother-in-law.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
24 'Terkutuklah orang yang melakukan pembunuhan dengan sembunyi-sembunyi.' 'Amin!'
‘Yahweh will curse anyone who secretly murders someone else.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
25 'Terkutuklah orang yang menerima suap untuk membunuh orang yang tidak bersalah.' 'Amin!'
‘Yahweh will curse anyone who accepts a bribe to murder someone who (is innocent/has not done something that is wrong.)’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
26 'Terkutuklah orang yang tidak menepati hukum dan ajaran Allah dengan perbuatan.' 'Amin!'"
‘Yahweh will curse anyone who disobeys these laws and refuses to declare that these laws [are good].’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’”
