1 Lalu berkatalah Raja Daud kepada semua orang yang berkumpul di situ, "Dari semua putraku, Salomolah yang dipilih Allah. Tetapi ia masih sangat muda dan kurang pengalaman, sedangkan pekerjaan ini sangat besar. Lagipula yang akan dibangun itu bukan istana untuk manusia, melainkan rumah untuk TUHAN Allah.
Moreouer Dauid the King sayde vnto all the Congregation, God hath chosen Salomon mine onely sonne yong and tender, and the worke is great: for this house is not for man, but for the Lord God.
2 Bahan-bahan untuk rumah itu beserta perabotnya sudah kusiapkan dengan segala kemampuanku. Aku telah menyediakan emas, perak, perunggu, besi, kayu, batu-batu berharga dan batu-batu permata, batu-batu beraneka warna untuk hiasan-hiasan dan sangat banyak batu pualam.
Now I haue prepared with all my power for the house of my God, golde for vessels of golde, and siluer for them of siluer, and brasse for things of brasse, yron for things of yron, and wood for things of wood, and onix stones, and stones to be set, and carbuncle stones and of diuers colours, and all precious stones, and marble stones in aboundance.
3 Bahkan karena cintaku kepada Rumah Allahku itu aku telah menyerahkan juga perak dan emas dari harta milikku sendiri:
Moreouer, because I haue delite in the house of my God, I haue of mine owne golde and siluer, which I haue giuen to the house of my God, beside all that I haue prepared for the house of the Sanctuarie,
4 emas terbaik 100 ton lebih, dan perak murni kurang lebih 240 ton untuk melapisi dinding Rumah TUHAN, dan untuk benda-benda yang harus dikerjakan oleh para tenaga ahli. Nah, sekarang siapa lagi mau memberikan persembahannya kepada TUHAN dengan senang hati?"
Euen three thousand talents of gold of the golde of Ophir, and seuen thousand talents of fined siluer to ouerlay the walles of the houses.
The golde for the things of golde, and the siluer for things of siluer, and for all the worke by the handes of artificers: and who is willing to fill his hand to day vnto the Lord?
6 Maka para kepala kaum, kepala suku, para perwira dan penanggung jawab harta milik raja menyatakan bahwa mereka ingin juga menyumbang.
So the princes of the families, and the princes of the tribes of Israel, and the captaines of thousands and of hundreths, with the rulers of the Kings worke, offred willingly,
7 Lalu mereka pun memberikan yang berikut ini untuk pembangunan Rumah TUHAN itu: emas 170 ton lebih, perak 340 ton lebih, perunggu hampir 620 ton, dan besi 3.400 ton lebih.
And they gaue for the seruice of the house of God fiue thousande talents of golde, and ten thousand pieces, and ten thousand talents of siluer, and eighteene thousand talents of brasse, and one hundreth thousand talents of yron.
8 Orang-orang yang memiliki batu-batu permata menyerahkannya kepada Yehiel untuk dimasukkan ke dalam kas Rumah TUHAN. (Yehiel adalah seorang Lewi dari kaum Gerson.)
And they with whom precious stones were found, gaue them to the treasure of ye house of the Lord, by the hand of Iehiel the Gershunnite.
9 Rakyat memberi dengan rela hati kepada TUHAN dan mereka gembira karena telah banyak yang mereka persembahkan. Raja Daud juga gembira sekali.
And the people reioyced when they offred willingly: for they offred willingly vnto ye Lord, with a perfite heart. And Dauid the King also reioyced with great ioy.
10 Di hadapan orang banyak itu Raja Daud memuji TUHAN. Ia berkata, "Ya TUHAN Allah yang disembah Yakub leluhur kami, terpujilah Engkau untuk selama-lamanya!
Therefore Dauid blessed the Lord before all the Congregation, and Dauid sayde, Blessed be thou, O Lord God, of Israel our father, for euer and euer.
11 Engkau sungguh besar, dan berkuasa. Engkau mulia, jaya dan agung. Segala sesuatu di langit dan di bumi adalah milik-Mu. Engkau raja agung, penguasa atas segalanya.
Thine, O Lord, is greatnesse and power, and glory, and victorie and praise: for all that is in heauen and in earth is thine: thine is the kingdome, O Lord, and thou excellest as head ouer all.
12 Semua kekayaan dan kemakmuran berasal daripada-Mu; segala sesuatu Engkau kuasai dengan kekuatan dan kedaulatan-Mu; Engkau berkuasa membuat siapa saja menjadi orang besar dan kuat.
Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest ouer all, and in thine hand is power and strength, and in thine hande it is to make great, and to giue strength vnto all.
13 Sekarang, ya Allah kami, kami ucapkan syukur kepada-Mu, dan kami memuji nama-Mu yang agung.
Now therefore our God, we thanke thee, and prayse thy glorious Name.
14 Aku dan rakyatku ini sesungguhnya tak dapat memberikan apa-apa kepada-Mu, karena segalanya adalah pemberian-Mu dan apa yang kami berikan ini adalah kepunyaan-Mu juga.
But who am I, and what is my people, that we shoulde be able to offer willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee: and of thine owne hand we haue giuen thee.
15 Engkau tahu, ya TUHAN, bahwa seperti para leluhur kami, kami pun menjalani hidup ini sebagai pendatang dan orang asing. Hidup kami seperti bayangan yang berlalu, dan kami tidak bisa luput dari kematian.
For we are stragers before thee, and soiourners, like all our fathers: our dayes are like ye shadowe vpon the earth, and there is none abiding.
16 Ya TUHAN, Allah kami, semua barang berharga ini kami kumpulkan di sini untuk mendirikan sebuah rumah bagi-Mu supaya kami dapat menghormati nama-Mu yang suci. Tetapi semuanya itu kami terima daripada-Mu sendiri dan adalah kepunyaan-Mu juga.
O Lord our God, all this abundance that we haue prepared to buylde thee an house for thine holy Name, is of thine hand and all is thine.
17 Aku tahu Engkau menguji hati setiap orang dan Engkau menyukai orang yang murni hatinya. Dengan tulus ikhlas dan senang hati kupersembahkan semuanya ini kepada-Mu. Aku telah menyaksikan bagaimana umat-Mu yang berkumpul di sini membawa persembahan mereka kepada-Mu dengan senang hati.
I knowe also, my God, that thou tryest the heart, and hast pleasure in righteousnesse: I haue offred willingly in the vprightnesse of mine heart all these things: now also haue I seene thy people which are found here, to offer vnto thee willingly with ioy.
18 Ya TUHAN Allah, yang disembah oleh Abraham, Ishak dan Yakub, leluhur kami, kiranya Engkau menjaga supaya umat-Mu tetap mencintai Engkau seperti sekarang ini dan tolonglah supaya mereka selamanya setia kepada-Mu.
O Lord God of Abraham, Izhak and Israel our fathers, keepe this for euer in the purpose, and the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their hearts vnto thee.
19 Berikanlah kepada Salomo, putraku, keinginan yang sungguh-sungguh untuk menuruti semua perintah-Mu dan untuk membangun rumah ibadat itu yang persiapannya sudah kulaksanakan."
And giue vnto Salomon my sonne a perfit heart to keepe thy commandements, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to doe all things, and to builde the house which I haue prepared.
20 Sesudah berdoa demikian, Daud berkata kepada orang banyak yang berkumpul di situ, "Pujilah TUHAN Allahmu!" Maka semua orang itu memuji-muji TUHAN, Allah yang disembah leluhur mereka. Lalu mereka sujud untuk menghormati TUHAN dan raja.
And Dauid said to all the Congregation, Now blesse the Lord your God. And all the Congregation blessed the Lord God of their fathers, and bowed downe their heads, and worshipped the Lord and the King.
21 Hari berikutnya mereka menyembelih hewan untuk dipersembahkan sebagai kurban kepada TUHAN, lalu dibagikan kepada seluruh rakyat. Selain itu ada 1.000 sapi jantan, 1.000 domba jantan dan 1.000 domba muda yang disembelih dan dibakar utuh di atas mezbah. Mereka juga mempersembahkan anggur yang diwajibkan untuk kurban-kurban itu.
And they offred sacrifices vnto the Lord, and on the morowe after that day, they offered burnt offrings vnto the Lord, euen a thousande yong bullocks, a thousand rammes and a thousand sheepe, with their drinke offrings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel.
22 Hari itu mereka makan minum dengan gembira di hadapan TUHAN. Lalu untuk kedua kalinya mereka memproklamasikan Salomo sebagai raja. Atas nama TUHAN, mereka meresmikan dia menjadi raja mereka dan Zadok menjadi imam.
And they did eate and drinke before the Lord the same day with great ioy, and they made Salomon the sonne of Dauid King the seconde time, and anoynted him prince before the Lord, and Zadok for the hie Priest.
23 Maka sebagai pengganti Daud ayahnya, Salomo naik takhta yang telah ditetapkan oleh TUHAN. Ia raja yang sukses dan disegani oleh seluruh bangsa Israel.
So Salomon sate on the throne of the Lord, as King in steade of Dauid his father, and prospered: and all Israel obeyed him.
24 Semua pejabat pemerintahan dan militer sampai kepada putra-putra Daud yang lain pun mengakui kekuasaan Salomo sebagai raja.
And all the princes and men of power, and all the sonnes of King Dauid submitted them selues vnder King Salomon.
25 TUHAN membuat seluruh rakyat mengagumi Raja Salomo dan menjadikannya raja yang lebih hebat dari raja mana pun juga yang pernah memerintah Israel.
And the Lord magnified Salomon in dignitie, in the sight of all Israel, and gaue him so glorious a kingdome, as no King had before him in Israel.
26 Daud anak Isai memerintah seluruh Israel
Thus Dauid the sonne of Ishai reigned ouer all Israel.
27 empat puluh tahun lamanya. Di Hebron ia memerintah selama 7 tahun dan di Yerusalem selama 33 tahun.
And the space that he reigned ouer Israel, was fourtie yeere: seuen yeere reigned he in Hebron, and three and thirtie yeere reigned he in Ierusalem:
28 Ia kaya dan terhormat dan meninggal pada usia lanjut. Salomo putranya menjadi raja menggantikan dia.
And he dyed in a good age, full of dayes, riches and honour, and Salomon his sonne reigned in his steade.
29 Riwayat hidup Raja Daud dari mula sampai akhir telah dicatat dalam buku Nabi Samuel, Nabi Natan dan Nabi Gad.
Concerning the actes of Dauid the King first and last, behold, they are written in the booke of Samuel the Seer, and in the booke of Nathan the Prophet, and in the booke of Gad the Seer,
30 Dalam buku itu diceritakan tentang pemerintahannya, kekuasaannya dan segala yang terjadi atas dirinya, atas Israel dan kerajaan-kerajaan di sekitar Israel.
With all his reigne and his power, and times that went ouer him, and ouer Israel and ouer all the kingdomes of the earth.
