1 Inilah pembagian tugas untuk orang-orang Lewi pengawal Rumah TUHAN. Dari kaum Korah ditunjuk Meselemya anak Kore dari keluarga Ebyasaf.
Concerning the divisions of the gatekeepers [who were] of the Korchites: Meshelemyahu the son of Kore, of the sons of Assaph.
2 Ia mempunyai 7 anak lelaki yang terdaftar menurut urutan umur: Zakharia, Yediael, Zebaja, Yatniel,
And Meshelemyahu had sons: Zecharyahu the first-born, Jedi'ael the second, Zebaiyahu the third, Jathniel the fourth,
3 Elam, Yohanan, Elyoenai.
Elam the fifth, Jehochanan the sixth, Elyeho'enal the seventh,
4 Berikut ditunjuk Obed-Edom. Ia diberkati Allah dengan 8 anak laki-laki yang terdaftar menurut urutan umur: Semaya, Yozabad, Yoah, Sakhar, Netaneel,
And 'Obed-edom had sons: Shema'yah the first-born, Jehosabad the second, Joach the third, and Sachar the fourth, and Nethanel the fifth,
5 Amiel, Isakhar dan Peuletai.
'Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Pe'ulthai the eighth; for God had blessed him.
6 Semaya anak sulung Obed-Edom mempunyai 6 anak laki-laki: Otni, Refael, Obed, Elzabad, Elihu dan Semakhya; semuanya orang-orang penting dalam kaum mereka sebab mereka gagah perkasa, terutama Elihu dan Semakhya.
Also unto Shema'yah his son there were born sons, that were rulers for the house of their father; for they were mighty men of valor.
The sons of Shema'yah were 'Othni, and Rephael, and 'Obed, [and] Elsahad, his brothers [were] valiant men, Elihu, and Semachyahu.
8 Untuk pekerjaan pengawalan itu kaum Obed-Edom memberikan 62 orang laki-laki yang perkasa.
All these were of the sons of 'Obed-edom: they and their sons and their brethren were valiant men in strength for the service, being sixty and two [descendants] of 'Obed-edom.
9 Kaum Meselemya memberikan 18 orang perkasa.
And Meshelemyahu had sons and brethren, valiant men, eighteen.
10 Dari kaum Merari ditunjuk Hosa. Ia mempunyai empat anak laki-laki: Simri (ia bukan anak sulung, tetapi diangkat menjadi pemimpin oleh ayahnya),
Also Chossah, of the children of Merari, had sons: Shimri the chief, for [though] he was not the first-born, yet his father made him the chief;
11 Hilkia, Tebalya dan Zakharia. Seluruhnya ada 13 anggota keluarga Hosa yang menjadi pengawal Rumah TUHAN.
Chilkiyahu the second, Tehalyahu the third, Zecharyahu the fourth; all the sons and brethren of Chossah were thirteen.
12 Para pengawal Rumah TUHAN dibagi dalam kelompok-kelompok menurut kaumnya. Mereka diberikan juga tugas-tugas di dalam Rumah TUHAN seperti orang Lewi lainnya.
These divisions of the gatekeepers, after the chief men, had the watch along with their brethren, to minister in the house of the Lord.
13 Setiap kaum baik kaum yang besar maupun kaum yang kecil, menarik undi untuk mengetahui di pintu gerbang mana mereka harus bertugas.
And they cast lots, the small as well as the great, according to their family divisions, for each and every gate.
14 Selemya mendapat pintu gerbang sebelah timur. Zakharia anaknya, yang selalu memberi nasihat yang baik, mendapat pintu gerbang sebelah utara.
And the lot at the east fell for Shelemyahu. And for Zecharyahu his son, an intelligent counsellor, they cast lots, and his lot came out at the north.
15 Obed-Edom mendapat pintu gerbang sebelah selatan dan anak-anaknya mendapat tugas menjaga gudang-gudang perlengkapan.
For 'Obed-edom at the south; and to his sons [was assigned] the house of Assuppim.
16 Supim dan Hosa mendapat pintu gerbang sebelah barat dan pintu gerbang Syalekhet yang terdapat pada jalan yang menanjak. Tugas pengawalan diatur sedemikian rupa sehingga selalu ada yang mengawal di pintu gerbang.
For Shuppim and for Chossah at the west, by the gate Shallecheth, on the ascending causeway, watch alongside of watch.
17 Setiap hari di sebelah timur ada 6 pengawal, di sebelah utara 4 dan di sebelah selatan 4. Gudang-gudang perlengkapan pun dikawal oleh 4 orang: 2 untuk setiap gudang.
At the east were six Levites, at the north four for every day, at the south four for every day, and for [the house of] Assuppim always two.
18 Pada pavilyun sebelah barat ditempatkan 4 pengawal di jalanan dan 2 pengawal di pavilyun itu sendiri.
At the Parbar on the west, four at the causeway, and two at the Parbar.
19 Demikianlah pembagian tugas pengawalan kepada kaum Korah dan kaum Merari.
These are the divisions of the gatekeepers of the sons of the Korchites, and of the sons of Merari.
20 Orang-orang lainnya dalam suku Lewi diserahi tanggung jawab atas harta benda Rumah TUHAN dan atas gudang tempat menyimpan pemberian-pemberi untuk Allah.
And of the Levites, Achiyah was over the treasuries of the house of God, and over the treasuries of the holy things.
21 Ladan adalah seorang anak laki-laki Gerson; ia menurunkan beberapa kelompok kaum, termasuk kaum Yehiel anaknya.
[As concerning] the sons of La'dan, the sons of the Gershunites of La'dan, the chiefs of the families of La'dan the Gershunite, were the Jechielites.
22 Anak-anak Yehiel, yaitu Zetam dan Yoel, diberi tanggung jawab atas gudang-gudang dan keuangan Rumah TUHAN.
The sons of Jechieli, Zetham, and Joel his brother, were over the treasuries of the house of the Lord.
23 Keturunan Amram, Yizhar, Hebron dan Uziel pun mendapat bagian tugas.
Of the 'Amramites, of the Yizharites, of the Hebronites, and of the 'Uzzielites,
24 Sebuel dari kaum Gersom, anak Musa, adalah pengawas harta benda Rumah TUHAN.
[Was] even Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, superintendent of the treasuries.
25 Ia mempunyai hubungan keluarga dengan Selomit melalui Eliezer saudara Gersom. Garis keturunan Eliezer sampai kepada Selomit adalah sebagai berikut: Eliezer, Rehabya, Yesaya, Yoram, Zikhri, Selomit.
And his brethren by Eli'ezer: Rechabyahu his son, and Jesha'yahu his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomoth his son.
26 Selomit dan sanak saudaranya bertanggung jawab atas semua pemberian yang dipersembahkan oleh Raja Daud, oleh kepala-kepala keluarga, pemimpin-pemimpin kaum, dan para perwira tinggi.
This Shelomoth and his brethren were over all the treasuries of the holy things, which king David had sanctified, together with the chiefs of the family divisions, the captains over the thousands and the hundreds, and the captains of the army.
27 Pemberian-pemberian itu adalah sebagian dari barang rampasan yang mereka peroleh dalam pertempuran dan yang mereka persembahkan untuk dipakai khusus dalam Rumah TUHAN.
Out of the wars, and out of the booty did they sanctify to maintain the house of the Lord.
28 Singkatnya, Selomit dan keluarganya bertanggung jawab atas segala sesuatu yang telah diserahkan untuk dipakai khusus dalam Rumah TUHAN, termasuk persembahan-persembahan yang melalui Nabi Samuel telah diserahkan oleh Raja Saul, oleh Abner anak Ner, dan oleh Yoab anak Zeruya.
And all that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruyah, had sanctified, whatsoever [any one] had sanctified, was under the supervision of Shelomoth and of his brethren.
29 Keturunan Yizhar, yaitu Kenanya serta anak-anaknya, diserahi tugas administrasi negara dan tugas-tugas peradilan di Israel.
Of the Yizharites were Kenanyahu and his sons for the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.
30 Segala urusan keagamaan dan urusan pemerintahan di Israel bagian barat Sungai Yordan diserahkan kepada Hasabya, dan kepada 1.700 sanak saudaranya: semuanya orang-orang terkemuka keturunan Hebron.
Of the Hebronites were Chashabyahu and his brethren, valiant men, a thousand and seven hundred [in number], appointed over the affairs of Israel on this side of the Jordan to the west, for all the business of the Lord, and for the service of the king.
31 Pemimpin keturunan Hebron adalah Yeria. Pada tahun keempat puluh pemerintahan Raja Daud diadakan penyelidikan mengenai keturunan Hebron. Dalam penyelidikan itu ternyata di antara mereka ada prajurit-prajurit perkasa yang tinggal di Yazer dalam wilayah Gilead.
Of the Hebronites was Jeriyah the chief, for the Hebronites, according to their generations by families. In the fortieth year of the reign of David were they inquired into, and there were found among them mighty men of valor at Ja'zer of Gil'ad.
32 Segala urusan keagamaan dan pemerintahan di Israel sebelah timur Sungai Yordan--yaitu wilayah suku Ruben, Gad dan sebagian suku Manasye--diserahkan kepada 2.700 kepala keluarga Yeria, semuanya orang terkemuka yang dipilih oleh Raja Daud.
And his brethren, valiant men, were two thousand and seven hundred chiefs of families: and king David appointed them over the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half tribe of Menasseh, for every matter pertaining to God, and the affairs of the king.
