Sofonias 1
1 Kastoy ti sao ni Yahweh a dimteng kenni Sofonias, a putot a lalaki ni Cusi, a putot ni Gedalias, a putot ni Amanias, a putot ni Hesekias, kadagiti aldaw a ni Josias nga anak ni Amon ti ari ti Juda.
[the] word of Yahweh - which it came to Zephaniah [the] son of Cushi [the] son of Gedaliah [the] son of Amariah [the] son of Hezekiah in [the] days of Josiah [the] son of Amon [the] king of Judah.
2 Kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh— “Dadaelekto dagiti amin a banbanag iti rabaw ti daga!
Utterly I will bring to an end everything from on [the] surface of the ground [the] utterance of Yahweh.
3 Dadaelekto ti tao ken dagiti narungsot nga ayup; dadaelekto dagiti billit iti tangatang ken dagiti lames iti baybay, dagiti dadael a karaman dagiti nadangkes! Ta pukawekto ti tao iti rabaw ti daga!” —kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh.
I will bring to an end human being and animal I will bring to an end [the] bird[s] of the heavens and [the] fish of the sea and the stumbling-blocks with the wicked [people] and I will cut off humankind from on [the] surface of the ground [the] utterance of Yahweh.
4 Iyunnatkonto ti imak iti Juda ken dagiti amin nga agnanaed iti Jerusalem. Pukawekto ti tunggal nabatbati nga agdaydayaw kenni Baal iti daytoy a lugar ken dagiti nagnagan dagiti agdaydayaw kadagiti didiosen kadagiti papadi,
And I will stretch out hand my on Judah and on all [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem and I will cut off from the place this [the] remnant of Baal [the] name of the pagan priests with the priests.
5 dagiti tattao nga adda iti tuktok dagiti balbalay nga agdaydayaw iti init, bulan ken bituen, ken dagiti tattao nga agdaydayaw ken agsapata kenni Yahweh ngem agsapatada met kenni Milcom.
And those [who] bow down on the roofs to [the] host of the heavens and those [who] bow down those [who] swear an oath to Yahweh and those [who] swear an oath by Milcom.
6 Pukawekto met dagiti saanen a simmurot kenni Yahweh, uray dagiti saan a mangbirok kenni Yahweh wenno agkiddaw iti panangidalanna.”
And those [who] have turned back from after Yahweh and [those] who not they have sought Yahweh and not they have sought him.
7 Agulimekkayo iti presensia ti Apo a Yahweh, ta asidegen ti aldaw ni Yahweh; gapu ta insaganan ni Yahweh ti sakripisio ken indatonnan dagiti sangailina.
Hush! from before [the] Lord Yahweh for [is] near [the] day of Yahweh for he has prepared Yahweh a sacrifice he has consecrated invited [ones] his.
8 “Mapasamakto iti aldaw ti panangidaton ni Yahweh, a dusaekto dagiti prinsipe ken dagiti annak dagiti ari, ken dagiti amin a nakakawes iti ganggannaet a pagan-anay.
And it will be on [the] day of [the] sacrifice of Yahweh and I will visit [judgment] on the princes and on [the] sons of the king and on all those [who] are clothed clothing foreign.
9 Iti dayta nga aldaw dusaekto dagiti amin a sumrek iti ruangan, dagiti mangpunno iti kinaranggas ken panangallilaw iti balay iti amoda!
And I will visit [judgment] on every [one who] leaps over the threshold on the day that those [who] fill [the] house of lord their violence and deceit.
10 Isu a mapasamakto iti dayta nga aldaw”— kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh —“nga aggapunto iti Ruangan ti Lames ti sangit ti kinarigat, ti dung-aw manipud iti Maikaddua a Distrito, ken ti napigsa unay a daranudor manipud kadagiti turod.
And it will be on the day that [the] utterance of Yahweh [the] sound of a cry of distress from [the] gate of the fish and wailing from the second district and a crashing great from the hills.
11 Agdung-awkayo, dakayo nga agnanaed iti Distrito ti Pagtagilakoan, ta madadaelto amin dagiti aglaklako; mapapatayto amin dagiti agtitimbang kadagiti pirak.
Wail O inhabitants of the Mortar for it will be destroyed all [the] people of Canaan they will be cut off all [the] weighers of silver.
12 Dumtengto iti dayta a tiempo a sukimatekto ti Jerusalem babaen kadagiti pagsilawan ken dusaek dagiti tattao a mangipagarup a natalgedda ket kunaenda iti pusoda, 'Awanto ti aniaman nga aramiden ni Yahweh, naimbag man wenno dakes!'
And it will be at the time that I will search Jerusalem with lamps and I will visit [judgment] on the people who are thickening on lees their who are saying in heart their not he will do good Yahweh and not he will do harm.
13 Masamsamto dagiti kinabaknangda ken mabaybay-anto a madadael dagiti balbalayda. Agpatakderdanto kadagiti babalay ngem saanda nga agnaed kadagitoy, ken agmulada kadagiti kaubasan ngem saanda nga uminom iti arakda!
And it will become wealth their plunder and houses their a desolation and they will build houses and not they will dwell [in them] and they will plant vineyards and not they will drink wine their.
14 Asidegen ti naindaklan nga aldaw ni Yahweh, asidegen ken napardas unay! Agbalinto a nasaem a panagsangsangit ti maysa a mannakigubat ti uni iti aldaw ni Yahweh!
[is] near [the] day of Yahweh great near and hurrying exceedingly [the] sound of [the] day of Yahweh bitter [is] shouting out there a warrior.
15 Dayta nga aldaw ket aldaw ti pungtot, maysa nga aldaw ti riribuk ken leddaang, aldaw ti bagyo ken pannakadadael, maysa nga aldaw ti sipnget ken lulem, maysa nga aldaw dagiti ulep ken kasta unay a kinasipnget!
[will be] a day of Fury the day that a day of trouble and distress a day of devastation and desolation a day of darkness and gloom a day of cloud and thick darkness.
16 Aldawto daytoy dagiti trumpeta ken pakdaar a maibusor kadagiti nasarikedkedan a siudad ken kadagiti nangato a pagwanawanan!
A day of trumpet and battle-cry on the cities fortified and on the corners high.
17 Ta iyegkonto ti kinarigat iti sangkataoan, tapno magnadanto a kasla bulsek a tattao agsipud ta nagbasolda kenni Yahweh! Maibukbukto ti darada a kasla tapuk, ken maibukbukto ti nagunegda a kasla rugit!
And I will cause distress to humankind and they will walk like blind [people] for to Yahweh they have sinned and it will be poured out blood their like dust and bowel[s] their like dung.
18 Awanto ti makaisalakan kadakuada, uray pay ti pirak wenno ti balitokda iti aldaw ti pungtot ni Yahweh! Ti apuy ti pungtot ni Yahweh ti mangibusto iti entero a daga, ta nakabutbutengto ti kanibusanan nga iyegna kadagiti agnanaed iti daga!”
Neither silver their nor gold their not it will be able to deliver them on [the] day of [the] fury of Yahweh and in [the] fire of jealousy his it will be consumed all the earth for complete destruction surely a terrible [thing] he will make with all [the] inhabitants of the earth.
