< Ruth 2 >
1 Ita, ti asawa ni Noami a ni Elimelec, ket addaan iti kabagian, ni Boaz, a maysa a nabaknang ken mabigbigbig a tao.
Naomi had a kinsman of her husband's, a mighty man of wealth, of the family of Elimelech, and his name was Boaz.
2 Kinuna ni Ruth a Moabita kenni Naomi, “Ita, palubosannak a mapan agtudtod iti dawa kadagiti taltalon. Surotek ti siasinoman a pakasarakak iti pabor.” Ket kinuna ni Naomi kenkuana, “Mapanka, anakko.”
Ruth the Moabitess said to Naomi, "Let me now go to the field, and glean among the ears of grain after him in whose sight I shall find favor." She said to her, "Go, my daughter."
3 Napan nagtudtod ni Ruth idiay taltalon iti likudan dagiti agan-ani. Nairana a napan isuna iti paset ti taltalon a kukua ni Boaz, a kabagian ni Elimelec.
She went, and came and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and she happened to come to the portion of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of the family of Elimelech.
4 Pagammoan, simmangpet ni Boaz manipud Bethlehem ket kinunana kadagiti agan-ani, “Adda koma ni Yahweh kadakayo.” Simmungbatda kenkuana, “Bendisionannaka koma ni Yahweh.”
Look, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said to the reapers, "The LORD be with you." They answered him, "The LORD bless you."
5 Ket kinuna ni Boaz iti adipenna a mangimatmaton kadagiti agan-ani, “Siasino a tao ti nakaibilangan daytoy a balasang?”
Then Boaz said to his servant who was set over the reapers, "Whose young woman is this?"
6 Simmungbat ti adipen a mangimatmaton kadagiti agan-ani ket kinunana, “Dayta ti balasang a Moabita a kadua ni Naomi a nagsubli manipud iti ili ti Moab.
The servant who was set over the reapers answered, "It is the Moabite woman who came back with Naomi out of the country of Moab.
7 Kinunana kaniak, 'Pangngaasim ta palubosannak nga agtudtod ken agurnong iti dawa bayat a sumursurotak iti likudan dagiti agan-ani.' Isu nga immay isuna ditoy ket nagtultuloy isuna a nagtudtudtod manipud itattay bigat agingga tatta, malaksid ti panaginanana iti apagbiit iti balay.”
She said, 'Please let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves.' So she came, and has continued even from the morning until now, except that she stayed a little in the house."
8 Kalpasanna, kinuna ni Boaz kenni Ruth, “Dumdumngegka kadi kaniak, anakko? Saankan a mapan agtudtod iti sabali pay a taltalon; saanmo a panawan ti taltalonko. Ngem kedti, agtalinaedka ditoy ket agtrabahoka a kaduam dagiti babbalasang a trabahadorko.
Then Boaz said to Ruth, "Listen, my daughter. Do not go to glean in another field, and do not go from here, but stay here close to my maidens.
9 Siputam laeng no sadino a taltalon ti paganian dagiti lallaki ket sumurotka iti likudan dagiti dadduma a babbai. Saan kadi a binilinko dagiti lallaki a saandaka nga an-anoen? Ken no mawawka, mabalinka a mapan kadagiti burnay ket uminomka iti danum a sinakdo dagiti lallaki.”
Let your eyes be on the field that they reap, and go after them. Haven't I commanded the young men not to touch you? When you are thirsty, go to the vessels, and drink from that which the young men have drawn."
10 Ket nagrukob ni Ruth iti sangoanan ni Boaz, a maisagsagid ti ulona iti daga. Kinunana kenkuana, “Apay a nakabirukak iti pabor iti imatangmo, a rumbeng a maseknanka maipanggep kaniak, a maysa a gan-gannaet?”
Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said to him, "Why have I found favor in your sight, that you should take knowledge of me, since I am a foreigner?"
11 Simmungbat ni Boaz ket kinunana kenkuana, “Naipadamag kaniak, amin nga inaramidmo manipud idi natay ti asawam. Pinanawam ti amam, inam, ken ti nakaipasngayam a daga tapno surotem ti katugangam a babai ket immayka kadagiti tattao a saanmo nga am-ammo.
Boaz answered her, "It has fully been shown to me, all that you have done to your mother-in-law since the death of your husband; and how you have left your father and your mother, and the land of your birth, and have come to a people that you didn't know before.
12 Gunggonaannaka koma ni Yahweh iti inaramidmo. Maawatmo koma ti naan-anay a gunggona manipud kenni Yahweh, ti Dios iti Israel, a ti sirok ti payyakna ket nakasarakka iti pagkamangan.”
May the LORD repay your work, and a full reward be given you from the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge."
13 Ket kinunana, “Makasarakak koma iti pabor iti imatangmo, apok, gapu ta liniwliwanak, ken nasayaat ti pannakisaom kaniak, uray no saanak a maysa kadagiti babbai nga adipenmo.”
Then she said, "Let me find favor in your sight, my lord, because you have comforted me, and because you have spoken kindly to your handmaid, though I am not as one of your handmaidens."
14 Idi pannangan, kinuna ni Boaz kenni Ruth, “Umayka ditoy, ket manganka iti tinapay, ken isawsawmo ti napirsaymo iti arak a suka.” Nakitugaw isuna iti abay dagiti agan-ani, ket inikkan ni Boaz isuna iti inuruban. Nangan isuna agingga a napnek ket imbatina ti dadduma iti daytoy.
At meal time Boaz said to her, "Come here, and eat of the bread, and dip your morsel in the vinegar." She sat beside the reapers, and they reached her parched grain, and she ate, and was satisfied, and left some of it.
15 Idi timmakder isuna a mapan agtudtod, binilin ni Boaz dagiti agtutubo a lalaki, a kunana, “Palubosanyo isuna nga agtudtod uray kadagiti binettek, saanyo a bagbagaan isuna iti aniaman a dakes.
When she had risen up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, "Let her glean even among the sheaves, and do not humiliate her.
16 Ken masapul a manguyoskayo kadagiti sumagmamano a nagapas para kenkuana manipud kadagiti nareppet, ket panawanyo dagitoy tapno pidutenna. Saanyo a babalawen isuna.”
Also pull out some for her from the bundles, and leave it, and let her glean, and do not rebuke her."
17 Nagtudtod ngarud ni Ruth agingga iti rabii. Kalpasanna ket inirikna dagiti dawa a natudtodna, ti bukel ket agarup a maysa nga efa iti sebada.
So she gleaned in the field until evening; and she beat out that which she had gleaned, and it was about an ephah of barley.
18 Binagkatna daytoy ket napan iti siudad. Ket nakita ti katuganganna ti natudtodna. Inruar pay ni Ruth ti inuruban a natedda iti taraonna ket intedda daytoy kenkuana.
She took it up, and went into the city; and her mother-in-law saw what she had gleaned: and she brought out and gave to her that which she had left after she was sufficed.
19 Kinuna ti katuganna kenkuana, “Sadino ti nagtudtodam ita nga aldaw? Sadino iti napanmo nagtrabahoan? Mabendisionan koma ti tao a nangtulong kenka.” Ket imbaga ni Ruth iti katuganganna ti maipanggep iti tao nga akinkukua iti taltalon a nagtrabahoanna. Kinunana, “Ti nagan iti lalaki nga akinkukua iti taltalon a nagtrabahoak ita nga aldaw ket Boaz.”
Her mother-in-law said to her, "Where have you gleaned today? And where have you worked? Blessed be he who noticed you." She showed her mother-in-law with whom she had worked, and said, "The man's name with whom I worked today is Boaz."
20 Kinuna ni Naomi iti manugangna, “Bendisionan koma isuna ni Yahweh, ti nagtalinaed ti kinapudnona kadagiti sibibiag ken kadagiti natay.” Kinuna ni Naomi kenkuana, “Dayta a tao ket asideg a kabagian a mangsubbot kadata.
Naomi said to her daughter-in-law, "Blessed be he of the LORD, who has not left off his kindness to the living and to the dead." Naomi said to her, "The man is a close relative to us, one of our near kinsmen."
21 Kinuna ni Ruth a Moabita, “Kinapudnona, kinunana kaniak, 'Dimo adaywan dagiti agtutubo a lallaki agingga a malpasda amin ti panaganik.”'
And Ruth the Moabitess said, "He even said to me, 'You shall stay close to my young men, until they have ended all my harvest.'"
22 Kinuna ni Naomi kenni Ruth a manugangna, “Nasayaat anakko, a makikuyogka kadagiti babbai a trabahadorna, tapno saanka a madangran kadagiti dadduma a taltalon.”
Naomi said to Ruth her daughter-in-law, "It is good, my daughter, that you go out with his maidens, and that they not meet you in any other field."
23 Nakikuyog ngarud isuna kadagiti babbai a trabahador ni Boaz tapno makatudtod isuna agingga iti ileleppas iti panagani ti sebada ken trigo. Ken nakipagnanaed isuna iti katuganganna.
So she stayed close to the maidens of Boaz, to glean to the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and she lived with her mother-in-law.
