1 Ania ngarud ti ibagatayo? Agtultuloytayo kadi nga agbasol tapno umado ti parabur?
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 Saan koma. Datayo a natay iti basol, kasano nga agbiagtayo pay latta iti daytoy?
May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?
3 Saanyo kadi nga ammo a ti kaadu iti nabautisaran kenni Cristo Jesus ket nabautisaran iti pannakatayna?
Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
4 Kaduanatayo ngarud a naitabon babaen iti pannakabautisar iti ipapatay. Napasamak daytoy tapno kas iti pannakapagungar ni Cristo babaen iti dayag ti Ama, kasta met a magnatayo iti kinabaro ti biag.
We were buried therefore with him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
5 Ta no nakipagmaymaysatayo kenkuana iti ipapatayna, makipagmaymaysatayonto met iti panagungarna.
For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of his resurrection;
6 Ammotayo daytoy, a naikrus a kaduana ti daan a kinataotayo, tapno madadael ti bagi ti basol. Napasamak daytoy tapno saantayon nga agbalin a tagabu ti basol.
knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.
7 Naibilang a nalinteg ti tao a natay no maipapan iti basol.
For he who has died has been freed from sin.
8 Ngem no nataytayo a kadua ni Cristo, mamatitayo a makipagbiagtayo met kenkuana.
But if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him,
9 Ammotayo a napagungar ni Jesus manipud kadagiti natay, ken saanen a natay isuna. Saanen nga agturay ti patay kenkuana ni kaanoman.
knowing that Christ, being raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over him!
10 Ta maipapan iti ipapatay a nakatayanna iti basol, natay isuna a naminpinsan para iti amin. Nupay kasta, ti biag a pagbibiaganna, pagbibiaganna daytoy a para iti Dios.
For the death that he died, he died to sin one time; but the life that he lives, he lives to God.
11 Iti isu met laeng a wagas, masapul met nga ibilangyo dagiti bagbagiyo a natay iti basol, ngem sibibiag iti Dios kenni Cristo Jesus.
Thus consider yourselves also to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
12 Ngarud, saanyo nga itulok nga agturay ti basol iti nainlasagan a bagiyo tapno pagtulnoganyo ti gartemna.
Therefore don’t let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.
13 Saanyo nga idatag dagiti paset ti bagiyo iti basol a maaramat iti kinaawan linteg, ngem idatagyo dagiti bagbagiyo iti Dios, kas sibibiag manipud iti patay. Ket idatagyo dagiti paset ti bagiyo a maaramat iti kinalinteg a maipaay iti Dios.
Also, do not present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
14 Saanyo nga ipalubos nga agturay ti basol kadakayo. Ta awankayon iti linteg no di ket iti parabur.
For sin will not have dominion over you, for you are not under law, but under grace.
15 Ania ngaruden? Agbasoltayo kadi gapu ta awantayo iti panangituray ti linteg, ngem iti panangituray ti parabur? Saan koma.
What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be!
16 Saanyo kadi nga ammo a ti pangidataganyo iti bagiyo kas adipen, isu dayta ti nagbalinanyo nga adipen, ti rumbeng a pagtulnoganyo? Pudno daytoy nga adipennakayo man ti basol a mangiturong kadakayo iti patay wenno adipennakayo ti panagtulnog a mangiturong kadakayo iti kinalinteg.
Don’t you know that when you present yourselves as servants and obey someone, you are the servants of whomever you obey, whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?
17 Ngem agyamanak iti Dios! Ta nagbalinkayo nga adipen ti basol, ngem nagtulnogkayo a sipupuso iti kita ti sursuro a naited kadakayo.
But thanks be to God that, whereas you were bondservants of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were delivered.
18 Nawayawayaankayo manipud iti basol, ken napagbalinkayon nga adipen ti kinalinteg.
Being made free from sin, you became bondservants of righteousness.
19 Agsasaoak a kas tao gapu iti kinakapuy ti lasagyo. Ta idi indatagyo dagiti paset ti bagiyo kas tagabu iti kinarugit ken iti dakes, iti isu met laeng a wagas ita, idatagyo ti bagiyo a kas tagabu ti kinalinteg para iti pannakapasanto.
I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh; for as you presented your members as servants to uncleanness and to wickedness upon wickedness, even so now present your members as servants to righteousness for sanctification.
20 Ta idi adipennakayo ti basol, nawayakayo manipud iti kinalinteg.
For when you were servants of sin, you were free from righteousness.
21 Iti dayta a tiempo, ania a bunga ti naadda kadakayo manipud kadagiti banbanag nga ibainyo ita? Ta patay ti pagbanagan dagitoy a banbanag.
What fruit then did you have at that time in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
22 Ngem ita ta nawayawayaankayon manipud iti basol ken nagbalinkayo a tagabu ti Dios, adda kadakayo ti bungayo para iti pannakapasanto. Agnanayon a biag ti pagbanaganna. (aiōnios g166)
But now, being made free from sin and having become servants of God, you have your fruit of sanctification and the result of eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
23 Ta patay ti bayad ti basol, ngem ti awan bayadna a sagut ti Dios ket agnanayon a biag kenni Cristo Jesus nga Apotayo. (aiōnios g166)
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (aiōnios g166)
