1 Agsipud ta napalintegtayo babaen iti pammati, addaantayo iti kapia iti Dios babaen kenni Apotayo a Jesu-Cristo.
Standing then acquitted as the result of faith, let us enjoy peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
2 Babaen kenkuana naaddaantayo met iti dalan babaen ti pammati iti daytoy a parabur a pagtaktakderantayo. Agrag-otayo iti talged nga it-ited ti Dios kadatayo para iti masakbayan, ti talged a pagraranudantayonto iti dayag ti Dios.
through whom also, as the result of faith, we have obtained an introduction into that state of favour with God in which we stand, and we exult in hope of some day sharing in God's glory.
3 Saan laeng a daytoy, ngem agragrag-otayo met kadagiti panagsagsagabatayo. Ammotayo a patauden ti panagsagsagaba iti panagibtur.
And not only so: we also exult in our sufferings, knowing as we do, that suffering produces fortitude;
4 Patauden iti panagibtur iti panaganamong, ken patauden iti panaganamong ti talged para iti masakbayan.
fortitude, ripeness of character; and ripeness of character, hope;
5 Saan a makaupay daytoy a kinatalged, gapu ta naibukbok iti ayat ti Dios kadagiti puspusotayo babaen iti Espiritu Santo, a naited kadatayo.
and that this hope never disappoints, because God's love for us floods our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
6 Ta kabayatan a nakapuytayo latta, natay ni Cristo iti umno a tiempo para kadagiti saan a nadiosan.
For already, while we were still helpless, Christ at the right moment died for the ungodly.
7 Ta narigat para iti maysa a tao a matay para iti nalinteg a tao. Dayta ket, nalabit nga adda natured a matay para iti naimbag a tao.
Why, it is scarcely conceivable that any one would die for a simply just man, although for a good and lovable man perhaps some one, here and there, will have the courage even to lay down his life.
8 Ngem panpaneknekan ti Dios ti bukodna nga ayat kadatayo, gapu ta bayat a managbasoltayo pay laeng, natay ni Cristo para kadatayo.
But God gives proof of His love to us in Christ's dying for us while we were still sinners.
9 Ngarud, ad-adda pay ita a napalintegtayo babaen iti darana, maisalakantayo babaen iti daytoy manipud iti pungtot iti Dios.
If therefore we have now been pronounced free from guilt through His blood, much more shall we be delivered from God's anger through Him.
10 Ta bayat a kabusornatayo iti Dios, nakikapiatayo iti Dios babaen iti pannakatay ti Anakna, ad-adda pay a kalpasan a nakikapiatayo, maisalakantayonto babaen iti biagna.
For if while we were hostile to God we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, it is still more certain that now that we are reconciled, we shall obtain salvation through Christ's life.
11 Saan laeng a daytoy, ngem agrag-otayo met iti Dios babaen kenni Apotayo a Jesu-Cristo, naawattayo ita babaen kenkuana daytoy a pannakaikapia.
And not only so, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now obtained that reconciliation.
12 Ngarud simrek ti basol iti lubong babaen iti maysa a tao, iti daytoy a wagas simrek ti patay babaen iti basol. Ken nagsaknap ti patay iti amin a tattao, gapu ta nagbasol ti amin.
What follows? This comparison. Through one man sin entered into the world, and through sin death, and so death passed to all mankind in turn, in that all sinned.
13 Ta agingga nga adda iti linteg ket adda iti basol iti lubong, ngem awan maibilang a basol no awan iti linteg.
For prior to the Law sin was already in the world; only it is not entered in the account against us when no Law exists.
14 Uray no kasta, nagari ti patay manipud kenni Adan agingga kenni Moises, uray kadagiti saan a nagbasol a kas iti panagsukir ni Adan, a kas kenkuana nga umayto.
Yet Death reigned as king from Adam to Moses even over those who had not sinned, as Adam did, against Law. And in Adam we have a type of Him whose coming was still future.
15 Ngem uray pay, ti sagut nga awan bayadna ket saan a kas iti panagsalungasing. Ta no ti nakatayan ti kaadduan ket gapu iti panagsalungasing ti maysa, ad-adda pay a nawadwad ti parabur ti Dios para iti kaadduan, ken ti sagut babaen iti parabur ti maysa a tao, a ni Jesu-Cristo, a nagsaknap iti kaadduan.
But God's free gift immeasurably outweighs the transgression. For if through the transgression of the one individual the mass of mankind have died, infinitely greater is the generosity with which God's grace, and the gift given in His grace which found expression in the one man Jesus Christ, have been bestowed on the mass of mankind.
16 Ta iti sagut ket saan a kas iti nagbanagan ti nagbasol. Ta iti sabali a bangir, immay ti ukom iti pannakadusa gapu iti panagsalungasing ti maysa a tao. Ngem iti sabali nga bangir, immay ti awan bayadna a sagut a nagbanag iti pannakapalinteg kalpasan iti adu a panagsalungasing.
And it is not with the gift as it was with the results of one individual's sin; for the judgement which one individual provoked resulted in condemnation, whereas the free gift after a multitude of transgressions results in acquittal.
17 Ta no nagturay ti patay gapu iti panagsalungasing ti maysa, ad-addanto pay nga agturay dagiti umawat iti aglaplapusanan a parabur ken agturay ti sagut iti kinalinteg babaen ti biag iti maysa, a ni Jesu-Cristo.
For if, through the transgression of the one individual, Death made use of the one individual to seize the sovereignty, all the more shall those who receive God's overflowing grace and gift of righteousness reign as kings in Life through the one individual, Jesus Christ.
18 Iti pannakaiyeg ngarud iti pannusa iti amin a tattao ket gapu iti panagsalungasing ti maymaysa, kasta met immay ti pannakapalinteg iti biag iti amin a tattao babaen iti maysa a panagtignay iti kinalinteg.
It follows then that just as the result of a single transgression is a condemnation which extends to the whole race, so also the result of a single decree of righteousness is a life-giving acquittal which extends to the whole race.
19 Ta iti saan a panagtulnog ti maysa a tao, adu dagiti nagbalin a managbasol, kasta met nga adunto ti mapalinteg babaen iti panagtulnog iti maysa.
For as through the disobedience of the one individual the mass of mankind were constituted sinners, so also through the obedience of the One the mass of mankind will be constituted righteous.
20 Ngem immay ti linteg, tapno agsaknap koma ti panagsukir. Ngem iti nagsaknapan ti basol, ad-adda pay a nagsaknap iti parabur.
Now Law was brought in later on, so that transgression might increase. But where sin increased, grace has overflowed;
21 Napasamak daytoy tapno kas panagturay ti basol iti patay, kasta met a mabalin nga agari uray ti parabur babaen iti kinalinteg a para iti agnanayon a biag babaen kenni Jesu- Cristo nga Apotayo. (aiōnios g166)
in order that as sin has exercised kingly sway in inflicting death, so grace, too, may exercise kingly sway in bestowing a righteousness which results in the Life of the Ages through Jesus Christ our Lord. (aiōnios g166)
