< Roma 2 >
1 Ngarud awan pagpambarmo, sika a tao, sika nga aguk-ukom, ta uk-ukomem ti bagim gapu iti panaguk-ukommo iti sabali. Ta sika a manguk-ukom ket ar-aramidem met laeng dagiti isu met laeng a banbanag.
Wherefore, you are inexcusable, O man! whosoever you are, who condemn: for in condemning another, you pass sentence upon yourself; because you, who condemn, practice the same things.
2 Ngem ammotayo a ti panangukom ti Dios ket segun iti kinapudno inton maidissuor kadagitoy nga agar-aramid iti kasta a banbanag.
Besides, we know that the sentence of God is according to truth, upon them who commit such things.
3 Ngem utobem daytoy, sika a tao, sika a manguk-ukom kadagiti agar-aramid iti kasta a banbanag no man pay ar-aramidem dagiti isu met laeng a banbanag. Makalibaskanto kadi iti panangukom ti Dios?
And do you think this, O man, who condemn those who practice such things, and yet do the same, that you shall escape the sentence of God?
4 Wenno tagtagibassitem kadi ti kinabaknang iti kinaimbagna, ti maitantantan a panangdusana, ken ti kinaanusna? Saanmo kadi nga ammo a naipakita ti kinaimbagna a mangidalan kenka iti panagbabawi?
Or do you despise the riches of his goodness and forbearance and long-suffering; not acknowledging that the goodness of God invites you to a reformation?
5 Ngem agingga iti kinatangkenmo ken saan a managbabawi a pusom nga agur-urnongka para iti bagim iti pungtot inton aldaw ti panagpupungtot, dayta ket, ti aldaw a panangipakaammo iti nalinteg a panangukom ti Dios.
But according to your obdurate and impenitent heart, you treasure up to yourself wrath, against a day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
6 Subadannanto ti tunggal tao iti isu met laeng a rukod dagiti ar-aramidna:
who will render to every one according to his works:
7 kadagiti maipapan iti kinatunos, nagun-od ti nasayaat nga ar-aramidda ti pammadayaw, pannakaitan-ok, ken saan a pannakadadael, ikkannanto iti awan patinggana a biag. (aiōnios )
eternal life, indeed, to them who, by perseverance in well-doing, seek glory, honor, and immortality: (aiōnios )
8 Ngem kadagiti bukbukodda laeng ti panpanunotenda, nga agsuksukir iti kinapudno ngem agtultulnog iti kinakillo, umayto ti pungtot ken nakaro nga unget.
but anger and wrath to them who are contentious, and obey not the truth, but obey unrighteousness.
9 Mangiyegto ti Dios ti nalabes a panagrigrigat ken riribuk iti tunggal kararua ti tao a nangaramid iti dakes, umuna kadagiti Judio, ken kasta met kadagiti Griego.
Affliction and great distress shall come upon every soul of man who works evil; first of the Jews, and also of the Greek.
10 Ngem pammadayaw, pannakaitan-ok ken kapia ti umayto kadagiti amin nga agar-aramid iti naimbag, umuna kadagiti Judio, ken kasta met kadagiti Griego.
But glory, honor, and peace to every one who works good: first to the Jews, and also to the Greek.
11 Ta awan panangidumduma iti Dios.
For there is no respect of persons with God.
12 Ta matayto met nga awanan linteg ti kas kaadu dagiti nagbasol nga awanan linteg, ken maukomto babaen iti linteg ti kas kaadu dagiti nagbasol no maipapan iti linteg.
As many, therefore, as have sinned without law, shall also perish without law; and as many as have sinned under law, shall be condemned by law:
13 Ta saan a dagiti dumdumngeg iti paglintegan dagiti nalinteg iti sangoanan ti Dios, ngem dagiti agar-aramid iti paglintegan ti mapalintegto.
for not those who hear the law are just before God; but those who obey the law, shall be justified.
14 Gapu ta dagiti Hentil, nga awan kadakuada ti linteg ket gagangay nga ar-aramidenda dagiti banbanag iti linteg, isuda, ket linteg kadagiti bagbagida, no man pay awan kadakuada ti linteg.
When, therefore, the Gentiles, who have not a law, do by nature the things of the law, are a law to themselves:
15 Babaen iti daytoy, ipakpakitada a naisurat kadagiti pusoda dagiti ar-aramid a sapsapulen ti linteg. Ti kosensiada ti mangsaksi met kadakuada, ken akusaran wenno ikanawa ida dagiti panpanunotda.
who show plainly the work of the law, written on their hearts; their conscience bearing witness, and also their reasonings between one another, when they accuse or excuse each other.
16 ken uray met iti Dios. Mapasamakto dayta iti aldaw inton ukomento ti Dios dagiti palimed dagiti amin a tattao, segun iti ebangheliok, babaen kenni Jesu- Cristo.
In the day when God will judge the hidden things of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.
17 Kaspangarigan nga awagam ti bagim a Judio, nga agtaltalekka iti paglintegan, agragragsakka a sipapannakkel iti Dios,
If, now, you are called a Jew, and rest in the law, and boast in God,
18 ammom ti pagayatanna, ken subokem dagiti banbanag a naidumduma iti daytoy gapu ta nasuroanka babaen iti linteg.
and know his will, and approve the things that are excellent, being instructed by the law;
19 Ken kaspangarigan a natalgedka a mangiturong iti bulsek, maysa a silaw kadagiti adda iti kinasipnget,
and boast that you yourselves are a guide of the blind, a light of them who are in darkness,
20 mangngatur kadagiti maag, manursuro kadagiti maladaga, ken adda kenka iti linteg ti langa iti pannakaammo ken iti kinapudno.
and instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, having the representation of knowledge and of truth in the law:
21 Sika ngarud a mangisursuro iti sabali, saanmo kadi a sursuroan ti bagim? Sika a mangikaskasaba a saan nga agtakaw, agtaktakawka kadi?
you, then, who teach another; do you not teach yourself? You who proclaim, Do not steal; do you steal?
22 Sika a mangibagbaga a saan a makikamkamalala, makikamkamalalaka kadi? Sika a marurod kadagiti didiosen, taktakawam kadi dagiti templo?
You who command, Do not commit adultery; do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols; do you rob temples?
23 Sika a sipapannakkel nga agragragsak iti linteg, ibabainmo kadi ti Dios babaen iti panaglabsingmo iti linteg?
You who boast in the law; by the breaking of the law, do you dishonor God?
24 Ta “naibabain ti nagan ti Dios kadagiti Hentil gapu kadakayo,” a kas naisurat.
For it is written, "The name of God is evil spoken of among the Gentiles, through you."
25 Ta pudno nga adda pagimbagan ti pannakakugit kenka no agtulnogka iti linteg, ngem no managlabsingka iti linteg, agbalin a saan a pannakakugit ti pannakakugitmo.
Now circumcision indeed profits, if you practice law; but if you be a transgressor of law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.
26 No salimetmetan ngarud ti saan a nakugit a tao dagiti kasapulan ti linteg, saan kadi a maibilang a pannakakugit ti saanna a pannakakugit?
And if the uncircumcision keep the precepts of the law, will not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
27 Ken saannakanto kadi nga ukomen ti gagangay a saan a nakugit, no tungtungpalenna ti linteg? Daytoy ket gapu ta adda kenka dagiti naisurat a Nasantoan a Sursurat ken pannakakugit ngem managlabsingka latta iti linteg!
And will not the uncircumcision which by nature fulfills the law, condemn you, a transgressor of law, though in possession of the scriptures and circumcision?
28 Ta saan a Judio isuna iti ruar a kinataona; wenno saan nga iti pannakakugit iti lasag.
For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly; neither is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh:
29 Ngem Judio isuna iti kaungganna, ken ti pannakakugit ket ayan ti puso, iti espiritu, saan nga iti letra. Saan nga aggapu kadagiti tattao ti pammadayaw iti kasta a tao ngem aggapu iti Dios.
but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is of the heart, in the spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men, but from God.
