< Dagiti Proverbio 31 >

1 Dagiti sasao ni Ari Lemuel— mensahe manipud iti Dios nga insuro kenkuana ti inana.
Words of Lemuel a king, a declaration that his mother taught him:
2 Ania, anakko? Ken ania, anak ti aanakak? Ken ania, anak dagiti sapatak? —
'What, my son? and what, son of my womb? And what, son of my vows?
3 Saanmo nga ited ti pigsam kadagiti babbai, wenno dagiti wagasmo kadagiti mangdaddadael kadagiti ari.
Give not to women thy strength, And thy ways to wiping away of kings.
4 Saan a para kadagiti ari, Lemuel, saan a para kadagiti ari ti uminom iti arak, wenno kadagiti mangiturturay ti mangdamag nga, “Ayanna ti naingel a mainom?”
Not for kings, O Lemuel, Not for kings, to drink wine, And for princes a desire of strong drink.
5 Gapu ta no uminomda malipatanda dagiti naipaulog a linteg, ket saanda a bigbigen dagiti kalintegan dagiti amin a marigrigatan.
Lest he drink, and forget the decree, And change the judgment of any of the sons of affliction.
6 Ikkam iti naingel a mainom dagiti tattao a mapukpukaw, ken arak dagiti agsagsagaba.
Give strong drink to the perishing, And wine to the bitter in soul,
7 Uminom isuna ket malipatanna ti kinapanglawna, ket saanna a malagip ti pakariribukanna.
He drinketh, and forgetteth his poverty, And his misery he remembereth not again.
8 Agsaoka para kadagiti saan a makasao, para kadagiti amin a mapukpukaw.
Open thy mouth for the dumb, For the right of all sons of change.
9 Agsaoka ket mangukomka babaen iti pannakarukod iti nalinteg ken ikalintegam ti karbengan dagiti napanglaw ken agkasapulan a tattao.
Open thy mouth, judge righteously, Both the cause of the poor and needy!'
10 Siasino ti makasarak iti asawa a babai nga adda kabaelanna? Napatpateg isuna nga adayo ngem kadagiti alahas.
A woman of worth who doth find? Yea, far above rubies [is] her price.
11 Agtaltalek kenkuana ti puso ti asawana, ken saanto pulos a pumanglaw ti asawana.
The heart of her husband hath trusted in her, And spoil he lacketh not.
12 Agar-aramid isuna iti nasasayaat a banbanag para iti asawana ken saan a kinadakes iti entero a panagbiagna.
She hath done him good, and not evil, All days of her life.
13 Mangpilpili isuna iti lupot a naaramid iti buok iti karnero ken de lana a lupot, ket agtrabaho isuna a siraragsak kadagiti imana.
She hath sought wool and flax, And with delight she worketh [with] her hands.
14 Maiyarig isuna iti agtagtagilako iti barko; mangisangsangpet isuna kadagiti taraon manipud iti adayo a lugar.
She hath been as ships of the merchant, From afar she bringeth in her bread.
15 Bumangon isuna iti rabii ket ikkanna iti taraon dagiti sangkabalayanna, ket iwarasna ti trabaho para kadagiti adipenna a babbai.
Yea, she riseth while yet night, And giveth food to her household, And a portion to her damsels.
16 Agbirok isuna iti talon ket gatangenna daytoy babaen iti bunga dagiti imana, agmula isuna iti ubas.
She hath considered a field, and taketh it, From the fruit of her hands she hath planted a vineyard.
17 Kawkawesanna ti bagina iti pigsa ken pappapigsaenna dagiti imana.
She hath girded with might her loins, And doth strengthen her arms.
18 Ammona no anianto ti mangted kenkuana iti nasayaat a gungona, agpatpatnag a saan a maiddep ti silawna.
She hath perceived when her merchandise [is] good, Her lamp is not extinguished in the night.
19 Iyiggemna dagiti imana iti rueda, ken igemanna ti takbian.
Her hands she hath sent forth on a spindle, And her hands have held a distaff.
20 Iyunatna dagiti imana kadagiti napanglaw a tattao; iyunatna dagiti imana kadagiti agkasapulan a tattao.
Her hand she hath spread forth to the poor, Yea, her hands she sent forth to the needy.
21 Saan isuna a mabuteng iti niebe para iti sangakabalayanna, ta nakawesan iti natingra a nalabaga ti sangakabalayanna.
She is not afraid of her household from snow, For all her household are clothed [with] scarlet.
22 Agar-aramid isuna kadagiti abbong ti pagidaanna, ket agkawkawes isuna iti lino a pagan-anay a purpura ti marisna.
Ornamental coverings she hath made for herself, Silk and purple [are] her clothing.
23 Mabigbigbig ti asawana kadagiti ruangan, tunggal makitugtugaw ti asawana kadagiti panglakayen iti daga.
Known in the gates is her husband, In his sitting with elders of the land.
24 Agar-aramid isuna kadagiti lino a pagan-anay ket ilaklakona dagitoy, ken mangipapaay isuna iti barikes kadagiti agtagtakilako.
Linen garments she hath made, and selleth, And a girdle she hath given to the merchant.
25 Nakawesan isuna iti pigsa ken dayaw, ket katkatawaanna ti umay a tiempo.
Strength and honour [are] her clothing, And she rejoiceth at a latter day.
26 Iyungapna ti ngiwatna a nabuyugan iti kinasirib, ken adda ti linteg ti kinamanangaasi iti dilana.
Her mouth she hath opened in wisdom, And the law of kindness [is] on her tongue.
27 Banbantayanna dagiti wagas ti sangakabalayanna ket saanna a kanen ti tinapay ti kinasadut.
She [is] watching the ways of her household, And bread of sloth she eateth not.
28 Tumakder dagiti annakna ket awaganda isuna a nagasat; idaydayaw isuna ti asawana a kunkunana,
Her sons have risen up, and pronounce her happy, Her husband, and he praiseth her,
29 “Adu a babbai ti nakaaramid iti nasayaat, ngem inabakmo ida amin.”
'Many [are] the daughters who have done worthily, Thou hast gone up above them all.'
30 Makaallilaw ti kinapintas, awan serserbi ti kinapintas, ngem maidaydayawto ti babai nga agbuteng kenni Yahweh.
The grace [is] false, and the beauty [is] vain, A woman fearing Jehovah, she may boast herself.
31 Itedyo kenkuana ti bunga ti aramidna ket bay-anyo nga idaydayaw koma isuna dagiti aramidna kadagiti ruangan.
Give ye to her of the fruit of her hands, And her works do praise her in the gates!
