< Dagiti Proverbio 2 >

1 Anakko, no awatem dagiti sasaok ken ipategmo dagiti bilbilinko kenka,
My son, if thou wilt receive my sayings, and, my commandments, wilt treasure up by thee;
2 dumngegka iti kinasirib ken ipapusom ti mangawat.
So that thou direct, unto wisdom, thine ear, bend thy heart, unto understanding;
3 No umawagka a dumawat iti pannakaawat ken ipigsam ti timekmo para iti daytoy,
Yea if, for understanding, thou cry aloud, for knowledge, utter thy voice;
4 no birokem daytoy a kas iti panagbirokmo iti pirak ken sapulem ti pannakaawat a kas iti panangbirokmo kadagiti nakalemmeng a gameng,
If thou seek her as silver, and, like hid treasure, thou search for her,
5 ket maawatamto ti panagbuteng kenni Yahweh ken mabirokamto ti pannakaammo iti Dios.
Then, shalt thou understand the reverence of Yahweh, and, the knowledge of God, shalt thou find.
6 Ta mangmangted ni Yahweh iti kinasirib, agtaud iti ngiwatna ti pannakaammo ken pannakaawat.
For, Yahweh, giveth wisdom, out of his mouth, knowledge and understanding;
7 Iduldulinna ti pudno a kinasirib para kadagiti mangay-ayo kenkuana, isuna ket kalasag kadagiti agbiag iti rumbeng a wagas iti panagbiag,
Yea he treasureth, for the upright, safety, A shield [is he] to them who walk in integrity,
8 banbantayanna ti dalan dagiti nalinteg ken taginayunenna ti dalan dagiti napudno kenkuana.
To him that observeth the paths of justice, yea, the way of his men of lovingkindness, he doth guard.
9 Ket maawatamto ti kinalinteg, hustisia, maiparbeng, ken amin a nasayaat a wagas.
Then, shalt thou understand righteousness and justice, and equity—every noble course.
10 Ta maadda ti kinasirib dita pusom, ket agbalin ti pannakaammo a ragsak iti kararuam.
When wisdom entereth thy heart, and, knowledge, to thy soul, is sweet,
11 Saluadannaka ti kinatimbeng, bantayannaka ti pannakaawat.
Discretion, shall watch over thee, understanding, shall preserve thee: —
12 Ispalendaka manipud iti wagas ti kinadakes, manipud kadagiti agsasao kadagiti agkakadakes,
To rescue thee from the way of the wrongful, from the man that speaketh perverse things;
13 kadagiti mangtaltallikud kadagiti nalinteg a wagas ken agbibiag iti wagas ti kinasipnget.
From them who forsake the paths of rectitude, to walk in the ways of darkness;
14 Agragrag-oda tunggal agaramidda iti dakes ken agragragsakda kadagiti kinaballikog ti kinadakes.
Who rejoice to do wrong, exult in the perversities of the wrongful;
15 Sursurotenda dagiti nakillo a pagnaan, ken babaen iti panangallilaw, gabgaburanda dagiti tugotda.
Whose paths, are twisted, and they are tortuous in their tracks:
16 Isalakannaka ti kinasirib ken kinatimbeng manipud iti dakes a babai, manipud iti babai nga agbirbirok iti kapadasan ken manipud kadagiti mangpasablog a sasaona.
To rescue thee, from the woman that is a stranger, from the female unknown, who with her speeches seduceth;
17 Baybay-anna ti gayyemna idi kaub-ubinganna ken linipatna ti karina iti Diosna.
Who forsaketh the friend of her youth, and, the covenant of her God, hath forgotten;
18 Ta agrukruknoy ti balayna iti patay ken dagiti tugotna ket iturongnaka iti ayan dagiti adda iti tanem.
For she hath appointed, unto death, her house, and unto the shades, her courses;
19 Amin a mapmapan kenkuana ket saanen nga agsubli ken saanda a mabirokan dagiti pagnaan nga agturong iti biag.
None who go in unto her, come back, neither attain they unto the paths of life:
20 Isu nga agbiagka babaen iti wagas dagiti naimbag a tattao ken surotem dagiti wagas dagiti agar-aramid iti nalinteg.
To the end that thou walk in the way of good men, and, the paths of the righteous, that thou observe.
21 Ta dagiti agar-aramid iti nalinteg ket agaramidto iti pagtaengan iti daga, ken dagiti addaan iti kinapudno ket agtalinaedto iti daytoy.
For, the upright, shall abide on the earth, —and, the men of integrity, shall remain therein;
22 Ngem dagiti nadangkes ket mapaksiatto manipud iti daga, ken mapaksiatto manipud iti daytoy dagiti saan a mangtungtungpal kadagiti karida.
But, the lawless, out of the earth, shall be cut off, and, traitors, shall they tear away therefrom.
