Dagiti Proverbio 16
1 Dagiti panggep ti puso ket kukua ti makinpuso, ngem ti sungbat ni Yahweh ket agtaud iti mismo a dilana.
The preparations of the heart are man's, but the answer of the tongue is from the LORD.
2 Amin a wagas ti maysa a tao ket nadalus iti panagkitana, ngem timtimbangen ni Yahweh dagiti pangpanggepenna.
All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.
3 Ikamangmo kenni Yahweh dagiti aramidmo, ket agballiginto dagiti panggepmo.
Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
4 Inaramid ni Yahweh dagiti amin a banag para iti rumbeng a pakaaramatanda, uray dagiti nadangkes para iti aldaw ti riribuk.
The LORD hath made every things for His own purpose, yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
5 Kagurgura ni Yahweh ti amin nga addaan iti natangsit a puso, uray puotenyo, madusadanto.
Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD; my hand upon it! he shall not be unpunished.
6 Babaen iti kinapudno ti tulag ken kinamatalek ket naakkoban ti kinamanagbasol, ken babaen iti panagbuteng kenni Yahweh ket matallikudan dagiti tattao ti panagar-aramidda iti dakes.
By mercy and truth iniquity is expiated; and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.
7 No dagiti wagas ti maysa a tao ket makaay-ayo kenni Yahweh, uray dagiti kabusor dayta a tao ket pagbalinen ni Yahweh a gayyemna.
When a man's ways please the LORD, He maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
8 Nasaysayaat ti addaan iti bassit nga addaan iti kinalinteg, ngem ti addaan iti dakkel a sapul babaen iti kinadakes.
Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues with injustice.
9 Agplanplano ti maysa a tao iti kaunggan ti pusona, ngem iturturong ni Yahweh dagiti addangna.
A man's heart deviseth his way; but the LORD directeth his steps.
10 Adda nadiosan a panggeddeng kadagiti bibig ti ari, saan nga agisawang ti ngiwatna iti makaallilaw a pangngeddeng.
A divine sentence is in the lips of the king; his mouth trespasseth not in judgment.
11 Aggapu kenni Yahweh dagiti napudno a pagtimbangan; isuna ti mangikedkeddeng iti dagsen dagiti adda iti supot.
A just balance and scales are the LORD'S; all the weights of the bag are His work.
12 Tunggal agaramid dagiti ari iti nadangkes a banbanag, dayta ket maysa a rumbeng a malais, ta naipasdek ti trono babaen iti panagaramid iti nalinteg.
It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness; for the throne is established by righteousness.
13 Maragragsakan ti maysa nga ari kadagiti bibig a mangibagbaga iti umno ken ay-ayatenna ti tao nga agsasao iti pudno.
Righteous lips are the delight of kings; and they love him that speaketh right.
14 Ti pungtot ti maysa nga ari ket maiyarig a mensahero ti patay ngem padasen ti nasirib a tao a pagkalmaen isuna.
The wrath of a king is as messengers of death; but a wise man will pacify it.
15 Ti kinaraniag ti rupa ti ari ket biag, ken ti paraburna ket kasla ulep a mangiyeg iti tudo.
In the light of the king's countenance is life; and his favour is as a cloud of the latter rain.
16 Anian a nasaysayaat ti maaddaan iti kinasirib ngem iti maaddaan iti balitok. Rumbeng nga ad-adda a mapili ti maaddaan iti pannakaawat ngem iti maaddaan iti pirak.
How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! yea, to get understanding is rather to be chosen than silver.
17 Arigna a ti dalan dagiti nalinteg a tattao ket adayo iti kinadakes; ti tao a mangsalsalaknib iti biagna ket arigna a banbantayanna ti dalanna.
The highway of the upright is to depart from evil; he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.
18 Umuna ti kinatangsit sakbay ti pannakadadael, ken umuna ti napalangguad nga espiritu sakbay ti pannakatinnag.
Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
19 Nasaysayaat ti agbalin a napakumbaba a kadua dagiti napanglaw a tattao ngem ti makibingay kadagiti napalangguad a tattao kadagiti sinamsamda.
Better it is to be of a lowly spirit with the humble, than to divide the spoil with the proud.
20 Makabirok iti nasayaat ti siasinoman a mang-utob kadagiti naisuro kadakuada, ken agragsak dagiti agtalek kenni Yahweh.
He that giveth heed unto the word shall find good; and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.
21 Ti tao a nasirib iti kaungganna ket makuna a nanakem, ken ti kinasam-it ti balikas pasayaatenna ti kabaelan a mangisuro.
The wise in heart is called a man of discernment; and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.
22 Ti pannakaawat ket maiyarig a burayok ti biag ti tao nga addaan iti daytoy, ngem ti dusa dagiti maag ket ti kinamaagda.
Understanding is a fountain of life unto him that hath it; but folly is the chastisement of fools.
23 Ti puso ti nasirib a tao ket mangmangted iti saririt iti ngiwatna ken mangnaynayon iti panangallukoy dagiti bibigna.
The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips.
24 Ti makaay-ayo a sasao ket maiyarig a balay ti ayukan—nasam-it iti kararua ken pannakapaimbag kadagiti tulang.
Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
25 Adda dalan a kasla nalinteg iti maysa a tao, ngem ti murdongna ket dalan nga agturong iti patay.
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
26 Ti ganas iti pannangan ti maysa a mangmangged ket mangparegta kenkuana nga agtrabaho; guyguyugoyen isuna ti bisinna nga agtultuloy nga agtrabaho.
The hunger of the labouring man laboureth for him; for his mouth compelleth him.
27 Agkalkali iti dakes ti awan serserbina a tao, ken ti sasaona ket kasla makasinit nga apuy.
An ungodly man diggeth up evil, and in his lips there is as a burning fire.
28 Ti ballikug a tao ket rubrubanna ti riri, kasta met a pagsisinaen ti tsismis dagiti nasinged nga aggagayyem.
A froward man soweth strife; and a whisperer separateth familiar friends.
29 Ul-ulbodan ti naranggas a tao ti kaarrubana ken iturturongna daytoy a pababa iti dalan a saan a nasayaat.
A man of violence enticeth his neighbour, and leadeth him into a way that is not good.
30 Ti tao nga agkidda-kidday ket agpangpanggep iti dakes; dagiti mangikakaem iti bibigda ket agar-aramid iti dakes.
He that shutteth his eyes, it is to devise froward things; he that biteth his lips bringeth evil to pass.
31 Ti uban ket korona ti kinadayag; magun-od daytoy babaen iti panagbiag iti nalinteg a wagas.
The hoary head is a crown of glory, it is found in the way of righteousness.
32 Nasaysayaat ti saan a nalaka a makaunget ngem ti agbalin a maingel, ken ti tao nga iturturayanna ti espirituna ket napigpigsa ngem iti tao a makababael a mangsakup iti maysa a siudad.
He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.
33 Maipuruak iti saklot dagiti bato a mangikeddeng iti gasat, ngem ti pangngeddeng ket aggapu kenni Yahweh.
The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the LORD.
