Obidias 1

1 Ti Sirmata ni Obadias. Kastoy ti ibagbaga ni Yahweh nga Apo maipanggep iti Edom: Nakangngegkami iti maysa a damag a naggapu kenni Yahweh, ket adda ti maysa a mangibabaet a naibaon kadagiti nasion a kunana, “Agtignay kayo, intayo gubaten isuna”.

The vision of Obadiah. Thus saith the Lord God against Edom, We haue heard a rumour from the Lord, and an ambassadour is sent among the heathen: arise, and let vs rise vp against her to battel.

2 Dumngegka, pagbalinenka a kabassitan kadagiti nasion, ket kastanto unay iti pannakalaismo.

Beholde, I haue made thee small among the heathen: thou art vtterly despised.

3 Inallilawnaka ti kinapannakkel ti pusom, sika nga agnanaed iti nagbabaetan ti bato, iti nakangatngato a pagtaengam, sika a mangibagbaga dita pusom, “Siasinonto ngay ti mangipababa kaniak iti daga?”

The pride of thine heart hath deceiued thee: thou that dwellest in the cleftes of the rockes, whose habitation is hie, that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me downe to the ground?

4 Numan pay nangato ti panagtayabmo a kas iti agila, ken numan pay naiyaramid ti umokmo iti ayan dagiti bituen, ipababakanto manipud sadiay, kuna ni Yahweh.

Though thou exalt thy selfe as the eagle, and make thy nest among the starres, thence will I bring thee downe, sayth the Lord.

5 No immay dagiti agtatakaw kenka, no immay dagiti agtatakaw iti rabii, (anian a pannakadadaelmo koma!), saan kadi a ti laeng takawenda ket ti kapkapnekanda? Ket no immay kenka dagiti agburburas iti ubas, saan kadi nga agibatida iti sumagmamano?

Came theeues to thee or robbers by night? howe wast thou brought to silence? woulde they not haue stolen, til they had ynough? if the grape gatherers came to thee, woulde they not leaue some grapes?

6 Anian a pannakasamsam dagiti sanikua ni Esau, ken pannakaduktal kadagiti ilemlemmengna a kinabaknang!

Howe are the things of Esau sought vp, and his treasures searched?

7 Amin dagiti lallaki a nakikadua kenka, ituloddakanto iti ayan ti beddeng. Inallilawdaka dagiti lallaki a nakikapia idi kenka, ket pinarmekdaka. Nangaramid iti palab-og iti babaem dagiti tattao a nangan iti tinapaymo. Awan iti pannakaawat kenkuana.

All the men of thy confederacie haue driuen thee to ye borders: the men that were at peace with thee, haue deceiued thee, and preuailed against thee: they that eate thy bread, haue laid a wound vnder thee: there is none vnderstanding in him.

8 Kuna ni Yahweh, apay ti kunam, saankonto a dadaelen dagiti masirib a lallaki a naggapu iti Edom, ken saanko a pukawen ti pannakaawat manipud iti bantay ni Esau?”.

Shall not I in that day, saith the Lord, euen destroy the wise men out of Edom, and vnderstanding from the mount of Esau?

9 “Ket mapukawanto iti namnama dagiti nasisiglat a lallaki nga adda kenka Teman, iti kasta ket maisina ti tunggal lalaki manipud iti bantay ni Esau babaen iti namimpinsan a pannakapapatay.

And thy strong men, O Teman, shall bee afraide, because euery one of the mount of Esau shalbe cut off by slaughter.

10 Gapu iti kinaranggas a napasamak iti kabsatmo a ni Jacob, maibabainkanto iti kasta unay, ket mapukawkanto iti agnanayon.

For thy crueltie against thy brother Iaakob, shame shall couer thee, and thou shalt be cut off for euer.

11 Iti aldaw nga agtaktakderka a nakayakay, iti aldaw nga intalaw dagiti gangannaet ti kinabaknangna, ken simrek dagiti gangannaet kadagiti ruanganna, ken nagbibinnunotanda ti Jerusalem, kasla ka a maysa kadakuada.

When thou stoodest on the other side, in the day that the strangers caried away his substance, and straungers entred into his gates, and cast lots vpon Ierusalem, euen thou wast as one of them.

12 Ngem saanka koma a nagragsak iti aldaw ti kabsatmo, iti aldaw iti kinadaksanggasatna, ken saanka koma a nagrag-o iti aldaw a pannakadadael dagiti tattao ti Juda; saanka koma a nagparammag iti aldaw a nagsagsagabada.

But thou shouldest not haue beholden the day of thy brother, in the day that hee was made a stranger, neither shouldest thou haue reioyced ouer the children of Iudah, in the day of their destruction: thou shouldest not haue spoken proudly in the day of affliction.

13 Saanka koma a simrek iti ruangan dagiti tattaok iti aldaw a pannakadidigrada; saanka koma a naragsakan iti panaglidayda iti aldaw iti panagrigrigatda, saanmo koma a tinakaw dagiti kinabaknangda iti aldaw a pannakadadaelda.

Thou shouldest not haue entred into the gate of my people, in the day of their destruction, neither shouldest thou haue once looked on their affliction in the day of their destruction, nor haue layde hands on their substance in the day of their destruction.

14 Ken saanka koma a nagtakder iti nagsasangalan dagiti kalsada tapno tiliwen dagiti nakalibas a tattaona; ken saanmo koma nga impaima dagiti nakalasat a tattaona kadagiti kabusorda iti aldaw iti panagsagsagabada.

Neyther shouldest thou haue stande in the crosse wayes to cut off them, that shoulde escape, neither shouldest thou haue shut vp the remnant thereof in the day of affliction.

15 Ta asidegen ti aldaw ni Yahweh kadagiti amin a nasion. No ania ti inaramidmo, maaramidto met kenka. Dagiti aramidmo ket agsublinto metlaengkenka.

For the day of the Lord is neere, vpon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall bee done to thee: thy reward shall returne vpon thine head.

16 Gapu ta kas iti panagbartekmo iti nasantoan a bantayko, kasta met nga aminto dagiti nasion ket saanto nga agsardeng iti panaginomda. Aginom ken agtilmondanto, a kasla la saanda pulos a nagbiag.

For as yee haue drunke vpon mine holy Mountaine, so shall all the heathen drinke continually: yea, they shall drinke and swallow vp, and they shalbe as though they had not bene.

17 Ngem idiay Bantay Sion, addanto dagiti makalibas, ket agbalinto a nasantoan daytoy; ket tagikuaento manen ti balay ni Jacob dagiti bukodda a sanikua.

But vpon mount Zion shalbe deliuerance, and it shalbe holy, and the house of Iaakob shall possesse their possessions,

18 Agbalinto nga apuy ti balay ni Jacob, ket agbalinto a gil-ayab ti balay ni Jose, ken agbalinto a garami ti balay ni Esau, ket puorandanto ida, ket mauramdanto. Awanto ti makalasat kadagiti adda iti balay ni Esau, ta daytoy ti imbaga ni Yahweh.

And the house of Iaakob shalbe a fire, and the house of Ioseph a flame, and the house of Esau as stubble, and they shall kindle in them and deuoure them: and there shall bee no remnant of the house of Esau for the Lord hath spoken it.

19 Ket tagikuaento dagiti naggapu idiay Negeb ti bantay ni Esau, ken dagiti naggapu iti Shepelah ket tagikuaendanto ti daga dagiti Filisteo; ken tagikuaendanto ti daga ti Efraim, ken ti daga ti Samaria; ket tagikuaento met ti Benjamin ti Gilead.

And they shall possesse the South side of the mount of Esau, and the plaine of the Philistims: and they shall possesse the fieldes of Ephraim, and the fieldes of Samaria, and Beniamin shall haue Gilead.

20 Dagiti naipanaw a balud manipud kadagiti tattao ti Israel ket tagikuaendanto ti daga ti Canaan agingga idiay Sarepat. Ket dagiti naipanaw a nagbalin a balud manipud Jerusalem nga adda idiay Sepharad, tagikuaendanto dagiti siyudad iti Negeb.

And the captiuitie of this host of the children of Israel, which were among the Canaanites, shall possesse vnto Zarephath, and the captiuitie of Ierusalem, which is in Sepharad, shall possesse the cities of the South.

21 Sumang-atto idiay bantay Sion dagiti mangispal tapno ukomenda ti bantay ni Esau, ket agbalinto a kukua ni Yahweh ti pagarian.

And they that shall saue, shall come vp to mount Zion to iudge the mount of Esau, and the kingdome shalbe the Lords.
