1 Ket immay dagiti mangidadaulo kadagiti pamilia a nagtaud iti puli ni Galaad nga anak a lalaki ni Makir nga anak a lalaki ni Manases —dagiti mangidadaulo kadagiti puli a kaputotan ni Jose, ket nagsaoda iti sangoanan ni Moises ken dagiti mangidadaulo kadagiti pamilia dagiti tattao iti Israel.
The heads of the fathers’ households of the family of the children of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh [Causing to forget], of the families of the sons of Joseph [May he add], came near, and spoke before Moses [Drawn out], and before the princes, the heads of the fathers’ households of the children of Israel [God prevails].

They said, “Adonai enjoined my lord to give the land for inheritance by lot to the children of Israel [God prevails]. My lord was enjoined by Adonai to give the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother to his daughters.
3 Ngem no makiasawa dagiti annakna a babbai kadagiti lallaki iti sabali a tribu kadagiti tattao ti Israel, maikkatto ngarud manipud iti bingay ti kapuonanmi ti bingayda a daga. Mainayonto daytoy iti bingay dagiti tribu a tumiponanda. Iti dayta a pasamak, maikkatto daytoy manipud iti tawid a naited a bingaymi.
If they are married to any of the sons of the other tribes of the children of Israel [God prevails], then will their inheritance be taken away from the inheritance of our fathers, and will be added to the inheritance of the tribe to which they shall belong. So will it be taken away from the lot of our inheritance.

When the Jubilee ·Shofar· of the children of Israel [God prevails] shall be, then will their inheritance be added to the inheritance of the tribe to which they shall belong. So their inheritance will be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers.”

Moses [Drawn out] enjoined the children of Israel [God prevails] according to Adonai’s word, saying, “The tribe of the sons of Joseph [May he add] speaks right.
6 Daytoy dagiti bilbilin ni Yahweh maipanggep kadagiti babbai nga annak ni Selofehad. Kunana, 'Bay-anyo ida a makiasawa iti ammoda a kasasayaatan para kadakuada, ngem masapul a makiasawada laeng iti naibilang iti tribu ti amada.'
This is the thing which Adonai does enjoin concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, ‘Let them be married to whom they think best; only they shall marry into the family of the tribe of their father.
7 Awan ti bingay dagiti tattao ti Israel a mabalin a maiyakar manipud iti maysa a tribu a mapan iti sabali a tribu. Masapul a saan a mapukaw iti tunggal tattao ti Israel ti bingay ti tribu iti kapuonanna.
So shall no inheritance of the children of Israel [God prevails] move from tribe to tribe; for the children of Israel [God prevails] shall all keep the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers.
8 Tunggal babai kadagiti tattao ti Israel nga adda bingayna iti tribuna ket masapul a makiasawa iti lalaki manipud iti puli a maibilang iti tribu ti amana. Daytoy ket tapno amin a tattao ti Israel ket maaddaan iti tawid kadagiti kapuonanna.
Every daughter who possesses an inheritance in any tribe of the children of Israel [God prevails] shall be wife to one of the family of the tribe of her father, that the children of Israel [God prevails] may each possess the inheritance of his fathers.
9 Awan ti bingay a maiyakar manipud iti maysa a tribu a maiyakar iti sabali a tribu. Masapul a mapagtalinaed ti tunggal maysa kadagiti tribu dagiti tattao ti Israel ti tawidna.
So shall no inheritance move from one tribe to another tribe; for the tribes of the children of Israel [God prevails] shall each keep his own inheritance.’”
10 Inaramid ngarud dagiti annak ni Selofehad ti imbilin ni Yahweh kenni Moises.
The daughters of Zelophehad did as Adonai enjoined Moses [Drawn out]:
11 Ni Maala, Tirza, Milka, Hogla ken ni Noah nga annak a babbai ni Selofehad ket nakiasawa kadagiti kaputotan ni Manases.
for Mahlah, Tirzah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Noah [Rest], the daughters of Zelophehad, were married to their dod ·father’s· brothers’ sons.
12 Nakiasawada kadagiti puli dagiti kaputotan ni Manases nga anak ni Jose. Iti kastoy a wagas, nagtalinaed dagiti tawidda iti tribu iti puli a nakaibilangan ti amada.
They were married into the families of the sons of Manasseh [Causing to forget] the son of Joseph [May he add]. Their inheritance remained in the tribe of the family of their father.
13 Dagitoy dagiti bilbilin ken linlinteg nga inted ni Yahweh kadagiti tattao ti Israel babaen kenni Moises idiay kapatadan ti Moab iti igid ti Jordan idiay Jerico.
These are the mitzvot ·instructions· and the judgments which Adonai enjoined by the hand of Moses [Drawn out] to the children of Israel [God prevails] in the plains of Moab [From father] by the Jordan [Descender] across from Jericho [Fragrant, Moon].
