1 Nagsao ni Yahweh kenni Moises kadagiti patad ti Moab iti igid ti Jordan idiay Jerico ket kinunana,

And the LORD spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho, saying,

2 “Bilinem dagiti tattao ti Israel a mangtedda kadagiti sumagmamano a bukod a bingayda a daga kadagiti Levita. Masapul a mangtedda kadakuada kadagiti siudad a pagnaedan ken daga a pagpaaraban iti aglawlaw kadagitoy a siudad.

Command the children of Israel, that they give to the Levites of the inheritance of their possession cities to dwell in; and you shall give also to the Levites suburbs for the cities round about them.

3 Awatento dagiti Levita dagitoy a siudad a pagnaedan. Maipaayto ti daga a pagpaaraban kadagiti bakada, arbanda, ken kadagiti amin nga ay-ayupda.

And the cities shall they have to dwell in; and the suburbs of them shall be for their cattle, and for their goods, and for all their beasts.

4 Dagiti daga a pagpaaraban iti aglawlaw dagiti siudad nga itedyonto kadagiti Levita ket masapul nga aglayon manipud kadagiti pader ti siudad iti 1, 000 a kasiko iti tunggal pagturonganna.

And the suburbs of the cities, which you shall give to the Levites, shall reach from the wall of the city and outward a thousand cubits round about.

5 Masapul a mangrukodka ti 2, 000 a kasiko manipud iti ruar ti siudad iti daya a paset, ken 2, 000 a kasiko iti abagatan a paset, 2, 000 a kasiko iti laud a paset, ken 2, 000 a kasiko iti amianan a paset. Daytoyto ti daga a pagaraban a maipaay kadagiti siudadda. Dagiti siudad ket addanto iti tengnga.

And you shall measure from without the city on the east side two thousand cubits, and on the south side two thousand cubits, and on the west side two thousand cubits, and on the north side two thousand cubits; and the city shall be in the middle: this shall be to them the suburbs of the cities.

6 Dagiti innem kadagiti siudad nga itedyonto kadagiti Levita ket masapul nga agpaay a kas siudad a pagkamangan. Masapul nga ipaayyo dagitoy a kas lugar a pagkamangan dagiti naakusaran a mammapatay. Mangipaaykayo met iti 42 a dadduma a siudad.

And among the cities which you shall give to the Levites there shall be six cities for refuge, which you shall appoint for the manslayer, that he may flee thither: and to them you shall add forty and two cities.

7 Agdagup iti 48 dagiti siudad nga itedyo kadagiti Levita. Masapul nga itedyo kadakuada dagiti pagaraban a dagada.

So all the cities which you shall give to the Levites shall be forty and eight cities: them shall you give with their suburbs.

8 Dagiti dakdakkel a tribu dagiti tattao ti Israel, dagiti tribu a nalawlawa ti dagada, ket masapul a mangited iti ad-adu a siudad. Dagiti basbassit a tribu ket mangited ti basbassit a siudad. Masapul a manipaay ti tunggal tribu iti para kadagiti Levita segun iti bingay a naawat daytoy.”

And the cities which you shall give shall be of the possession of the children of Israel: from them that have many you shall give many; but from them that have few you shall give few: every one shall give of his cities to the Levites according to his inheritance which he inherits.

9 Ket nagsao ni Yahweh kenni Moises ket kinunana,

And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

10 “Agsaoka kadagiti tattao ti Israel ket ibagam kadakuada, 'Inton bumallasiwkayo iti Jordan a mapan iti daga ti Canaan,

Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, When you be come over Jordan into the land of Canaan;

11 ket masapul a mangpilikayo kadagiti siudad nga agpaay a kas siudad a pagkamangan para kadakayo, tapno siasinoman a makapatay iti maysa a tao a saanna nga inggagara ket mabalinna a kumamang kadagitoy.

Then you shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you; that the slayer may flee thither, which kills any person at unawares.

12 Dagitoy a siudad ket agbalinto a pagkamanganyo manipud iti mangibales, tapno saanto a mapapatay ti tao a naakusaran a saan nga agtakder nga umuna iti pangukoman iti sangoanan dagiti tattao.

And they shall be to you cities for refuge from the avenger; that the manslayer die not, until he stand before the congregation in judgment.

13 Masapul a mangpilikayo iti innem a siudad nga agpaay a kas siudad a pagkamangan.

And of these cities which you shall give six cities shall you have for refuge.

14 Masapul a mangipaaykayo iti tallo a siudad iti labes ti Jordan ken tallo idiay daga ti Canaan. Agbalinto dagitoy a siudad a pagkamangan.

You shall give three cities on this side Jordan, and three cities shall you give in the land of Canaan, which shall be cities of refuge.

15 Para kadagiti tattao ti Israel, kadagiti ganggannaet, kadagiti tunggal maysa nga agnanaed kadakayo, dagitoy nga innem a siudad ket agpaayto a kas pagkamangan dagiti siasinoman a makapatay ti maysa a tao.

These six cities shall be a refuge, both for the children of Israel, and for the stranger, and for the sojourner among them: that every one that kills any person unawares may flee thither.

16 Ngem no kinabil ti naakusaran a tao ti biktimana babaen iti alikamen a landok, ket no matay ti biktimana, pudno ngaru a mammapatay ti naakusaran. Awan dua-dua a mapapatay isuna.

And if he smite him with an instrument of iron, so that he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

17 No kinabil ti naakusaran a tao ti biktimana babaen iti maysa a bato iti imana a mabalin a makapatay iti biktima, ket no matay ti biktimana, pudno ngarud a mammapatay ti naakusaran. Awan dua-dua a mapapatay isuna.

And if he smite him with throwing a stone, with which he may die, and he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

18 No kinabil ti naakusaran a tao ti biktimana babaen iti kayo nga igam a mabalin a makapatay iti biktima, ket no matay ti dinangranna, pudno ngarud a mammapatay ti naakusaran. Awan dua-dua a mapapatay isuna.

Or if he smite him with an hand weapon of wood, with which he may die, and he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

19 Ti mangibales iti dara ket mabalin nga isuna mismo ti mangpatay iti mammapatay. Inton masabatna isuna, mabalinna a papatayen isuna.

The revenger of blood himself shall slay the murderer: when he meets him, he shall slay him.

20 Ket no sigugura nga iduron ti naakusaran a tao ti siasinoman wenno barsakenna isuna, bayat nga aglemlemmeng a mangsaneb kenkuana, ket natay ti biktimana,

But if he thrust him of hatred, or hurl at him by laying of wait, that he die;

21 wenno no sigugura a kinabilna isuna babaen iti imana a nakatayan ti biktimana, awan dua-dua ngarud a mapapatay ti naakusaran a tao a nangkabil kenkuana. Mammapatay isuna. Ti mangibales iti dara ket mabalin a papatayenna ti mammapatay inton masabatna isuna.

Or in enmity smite him with his hand, that he die: he that smote him shall surely be put to death; for he is a murderer: the revenger of blood shall slay the murderer, when he meets him.

22 Ngem no kellaat a nadangran ti naakusaran a tao ti biktima nga awan ti gurana iti napalabas wenno nabarsakna ti biktima a saanna a sinaneb

But if he thrust him suddenly without enmity, or have cast on him any thing without laying of wait,

23 wenno no nangipurwak iti bato a mabalin a makapatay iti biktima a saanna a nakita ti biktima, ti naakusaran ngarud ket saan a kabusor ti biktima; saanna a pinadas a dangran ti biktima. Ngem no natay latta ti bikitima,

Or with any stone, with which a man may die, seeing him not, and cast it on him, that he die, and was not his enemy, neither sought his harm:

24 iti dayta a pasamak, masapul a mangngeddeng dagiti tattao iti nagbaetan ti naakusaran ken ti mangibales iti dara a maibasar kadagitoy a pagannurotan.

Then the congregation shall judge between the slayer and the revenger of blood according to these judgments:

25 Masapul nga ispalen dagiti tattao ti naakusaran manipud iti pannakabalin ti mangibales iti dara. Masapul nga isubli dagiti tattao ti naakusaran iti siudad a pagkamangan a sigud a nagkamanganna. Masapul nga agnaed isuna sadiay agingga iti ipapatay iti agdama a kangatoan a padi, ti napulotan ti nasantoan a lana.

And the congregation shall deliver the slayer out of the hand of the revenger of blood, and the congregation shall restore him to the city of his refuge, where he was fled: and he shall abide in it to the death of the high priest, which was anointed with the holy oil.

26 Ngem no lummabes ti naakusaran a tao iti aniaman a tiempo iti beddeng ti siudad a pagkamangan a nagkamanganna,

But if the slayer shall at any time come without the border of the city of his refuge, where he was fled;

27 ket no nasarakan isuna ti mangibales iti dara iti ruar ti beddeng iti siudad a nagkamanganna, ket no pinapatayna ti naakusaran a tao, saanto a nakabasol ti mangibales iti dara iti panangpapatay.

And the revenger of blood find him without the borders of the city of his refuge, and the revenger of blood kill the slayer; he shall not be guilty of blood:

28 Daytoy ket gapu ta masapul a nagtalinaed koma ti naakusaran a tao iti siudad a nagkamanganna agingga iti ipapatay ti kangatoan a padi. Kalpasan ti ipapatay ti kangatoan a padi, mabalinton nga agsubli ti naakusaran iti daga nga ayan ti bukodna a sanikua.

Because he should have remained in the city of his refuge until the death of the high priest: but after the death of the high priest the slayer shall return into the land of his possession.

29 Dagitoy a linteg ket masapul nga agbalin nga alagaden nga agpaay kadakayo iti amin a tattao ti henerasionyo iti amin a lugar a pagnaedanyo.

So these things shall be for a statute of judgment to you throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

30 Siasinoman a pumatay iti maysa a tao, masapul a mapapatay ti mammapatay, a mapaneknekan babaen kadagiti sao dagiti saksi. Ngem ti maysa a sao laeng ti saksi ket saan nga umanay a mapapatay ti siasinoman a tao.

Whoever kills any person, the murderer shall be put to death by the mouth of witnesses: but one witness shall not testify against any person to cause him to die.

31 Masapul a saankayo pay nga umawat ti pangsubbot para iti biag ti mammapatay a nakabasol iti panangpapatay. Awan dua-dua a mapapatay isuna.

Moreover you shall take no satisfaction for the life of a murderer, which is guilty of death: but he shall be surely put to death.

32 Ken masapul a saankayo nga umawat ti pangsubbot para iti tao a nagkamang iti siudad a pagkamangan. Masapul a saanyo nga ipalubos nga agnaed isuna iti bukodna a sanikua iti kastoy a wagas agingga a matay ti kangatoan a padi.

And you shall take no satisfaction for him that is fled to the city of his refuge, that he should come again to dwell in the land, until the death of the priest.

33 Saanyo a rugitan ti daga a pagnanaedanyo iti kastoy a wagas, gapu ta ti dara a nagtaud iti panangpapatay ket rugitanna ti daga. Awan ti maaramid a pannakadalus nga agpaay iti daga inton naisayasay ti dara iti daytoy, malaksid iti dara ti nangpasayasay daytoy.

So you shall not pollute the land wherein you are: for blood it defiles the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.

34 Isu a saanyo tulawan ti daga a pagnanaedanyo gapu ta agnanaedak iti daytoy. Siak ni Yahweh, agnanaedak kadagiti tattao ti Israel.'”

Defile not therefore the land which you shall inhabit, wherein I dwell: for I the LORD dwell among the children of Israel.
