1 Kalpasanna, dimmatag kenni Moises dagiti babbai nga annak ni Zelofehad nga anak a lalaki ni Hefer nga anak a lalaki ni Galaad nga anak a lalaki ni Makir nga anak a lalaki ni Manases nga anak a lalaki ni Jose. Dagitoy dagiti nagnagan dagiti annakna a babbai: da Mala, Noa, Hogla, Milca, ken Tirza
And daughters of Zelophehad son of Hepher, son of Gilead, son of Machir, son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh son of Joseph, draw near—and these [are] the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah—
2 Nagtakderda iti sangoanan da Moises ken Eleazar a padi, kadagiti panguloen, ken iti sangoanan dagiti tattao idiay pagserkan ti tabernakulo. Kinunada,
and stand before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes, and all the congregation, at the opening of the Tent of Meeting, saying,
3 “Natay ni amami idiay let-ang. Saan isuna a karaman kadagiti naguummong a bimmusor kenni Yahweh a kakadua ni Kora. Natay isuna iti bukodna a basol; ngem ketdi, gapu iti bukodna a basol a natay isuna.
“Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not in the midst of the congregation who were gathered together against YHWH in the congregation of Korah, but he died for his own sin, and had no sons;
4 Apay a rumbeng a mapukaw ti nagan ni amami kadagiti kapulianna gapu ta awan anakna a lalaki? Ikkandakami iti daga kadagiti kakabagian ni amami.”
why is the name of our father withdrawn from the midst of his family because he has no son? Give a possession to us in the midst of the brothers of our father”;
5 Isu nga inkamang ni Moises dayta a banag iti sangoanan ni Yahweh.
and Moses brings their cause near before YHWH.
6 Nagsao ni Yahweh kenni Moises ket kinunana,
And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
7 “Husto ti ibagbaga dagiti annak a babbai ni Zelofehad. Nasken nga ikkam ida iti daga kas tawidda kadagiti kabagian ni amada, ken rumbeng a siguradoem a maipatawid kadakuada ti tawid ni amada.
“The daughters of Zelophehad are speaking correctly; you certainly give to them a possession of an inheritance in the midst of their father’s brothers, and have caused the inheritance of their father to pass over to them.
8 Masapul nga agsaoka dagiti tattao ti Israel ket ibagam kadakuada, 'No matay ti maysa a lalaki nga awan anakna a lalaki, masapul ngarud nga ipatawidmo ti dagana iti anakna a babbai.
And you speak to the sons of Israel, saying, When a man dies and has no son, then you have caused his inheritance to pass over to his daughter;
9 No awan anakna a babai, masapul nga itedmo ngarud ti tawidna kadagiti kakabsatna a lalaki.
and if he has no daughter, then you have given his inheritance to his brothers;
10 No awan kabsatna a lallaki, masapu nga itedmo ngarud ti tawidna kadagiti ulitegna.
and if he has no brothers, then you have given his inheritance to his father’s brothers;
11 No awan kakabsat a lallaki ti amana, masapul nga itedmo ngarud ti tawidna iti kaasitgan a kabagianna iti pulina ket alaenna daytoy a kukuana. Agbalinto a linteg daytoy para kadagiti tattao ti Israel, kas imbilin ni Yahweh kaniak.’”
and if his father has no brothers, then you have given his inheritance to his relation who is near to him of his family, and he has possessed it”; and it has been to the sons of Israel for a statute of judgment, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
12 Kinuna ni Yahweh kenni Moises, “Sumang-atka kadagiti bantay iti Abarim, ket tannawagam ti daga nga intedko kadagiti tattao ti Israel.
And YHWH says to Moses, “Go up to this Mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given to the sons of Israel;
13 Kalpasan a makitam daytoy, maitiponka met kadagiti tattaom, kas kenni Aaron a kabsatmo.
and you have seen it, and you have been gathered to your people, also you, as your brother Aaron has been gathered,
14 Mapasamakto daytoy gapu ta sinukiryo a dua ti bilinko idiay let-ang iti Zin. Idi nagpusuak sadiay ti danum manipud iti bato, gapu iti ungetmo, saannak a rinaem a kas nasantoan iti imatang dagiti amin a tattao.” Dagitoy dagiti danum iti Meriba iti Kades iti let-ang ti Zin.
because you provoked My mouth in the wilderness of Zin, in the strife of the congregation—to sanctify Me at the waters before their eyes”; they [are] the waters of Meribah, in Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin.
15 Ket nakisarita ni Moises kenni Yahweh ket kinunana,
And Moses speaks to YHWH, saying,
16 “O Yahweh, ti Dios dagiti espiritu ti amin a tattao, mangdutokka koma iti maysa a tao manipud kadagiti tattao,
“YHWH, God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,
17 maysa a tao a makabael a mangidalan kadakuada ken mangidaulo kadakuada a rumuar ken umuneg, tapno dagiti tattaom ket saan a kasla kadagiti karnero nga awan ti pastorna.”
who goes out before them, and who comes in before them, and who takes them out, and who brings them in, and the congregation of YHWH is not as sheep which have no shepherd.”
18 Kinuna ni Yahweh kenni Moises, “Ayabam ni Josue nga anak a lalaki ni Nun, maysa a tao a pagnanaedan ti Espirituk, ken ipataymo ti imam kenkuana.
And YHWH says to Moses, “Take Joshua son of Nun to yourself, a man in whom [is] the Spirit, and you have laid your hand on him,
19 Ipanmo isuna iti sangoanan ni Eliazar a padi ken iti amin a tattao, ket bilinem isuna iti imatangda nga idauloanna ida.
and have caused him to stand before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation, and have charged him before their eyes,
20 Masapul nga ikkam isuna iti turay tapno agtungpal kenkuana ti amin nga tattao ti Israel.
and have put of your splendor on him, so that all the congregation of the sons of Israel listens.
21 Mapan isuna iti sangoanan ti Eliazar a padi a mangammo ti pagayatak para kenkuana babaen kadagiti pangngeddeng ti Urim. Babaento daytoy iti bilinna a rummuar ken umuneg dagiti tattao, isuna ken amin nga Israelita a kaduana, dagiti amin a tattao.”
And he stands before Eleazar the priest, and he has inquired before YHWH for him by the judgment of the Lights; at his word they go out, and at his word they come in, he and all the sons of Israel with him—even all the congregation.”
22 Inaramid ngarud ni Moises kas imbilin ni Yahweh kenkuana. Impanna ni Josue iti sangoanan ni Eliazar a padi ken kadagiti amin a tattao.
And Moses does as YHWH has commanded him, and takes Joshua and causes him to stand before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation,
23 Impatayna dagiti imana kenkuana ken binilinna isuna a mangidaulo, a kas imbilin ni Yahweh nga aramidenna.
and lays his hands on him and charges him, as YHWH has spoken by the hand of Moses.
