And it came to pass, after the plague, that Yahweh spake unto Moses, and unto Eleazar son of Aaron the priest, saying:

2 “Bilangenyo dagiti amin a tattao ti Israel, manipud iti agtawen ti duapulo ken agpangato, babaen kadagiti pamilia dagiti kapuonanda, amin a makabael a makigubat para iti Israel.”

Reckon ye up the sum of all the assembly of the sons of Israel from twenty years old and upwards, by their ancestral houses, —every one able to go forth to war in Israel.

3 Nagsao ngarud kadakuada da Moises ken Eleazar a padi idiay patad ti Moab iti igid ti Jordan idiay Jerico ket kinunada,

So then Moses and Eleazar the priest spake with them, in the waste plains of Moab, —by the Jordan near Jericho saying:

4 “Bilangenyo dagiti tattao, manipud iti agtawen ti duapulo ken agpangato, kas imbilin ni Yahweh kenni Moises ken kadagiti tattao ti Israel a rimmuar manipud iti daga ti Egipto.”

From twenty years old and upwards, As Yahweh commanded Moses, and the sons of Israel, who had come forth out of the land of Egypt.

5 Ni Ruben ti inauna nga anak ni Israel. Manipud kenni Hanoc, a lalaki nga anakna ket nagtaud ti puli a Hanokita. Manipud kenni Pallu, nagtaud ti puli a Pallaluita.

Reuben, the firstborn of Israel, —the sons of Reuben, To Hanoch, pertained the family of the Hanochites; To Pallu, the family of the Palluites;

6 Manipud kenni Hezron, nagtaud ti puli a Hezronita. Manipud kenni Carmi, nagtaud ti puli a Carminita.

To Hezron, the family of the Hezronites, —To Carmi, the family of the Carmites.

7 Dagitoy dagiti puli dagiti kaputotan ni Ruben, agarup a 43, 730 a lallaki.

These, are the families of the Reubenites, —and they who were numbered of them were found to be—forty-three thousand, and seven hundred, and thirty.

8 Ni Elliab ti anak a lalaki ni Pallu.

Now, the sons of Pallu, were Eliab;

9 Ni Nemuel, Datan ken Abriam ket annak a lalaki ni Elliab. Ni Datan kenni Abriam ket dagitoy ti simmurot kenni Kora idi kinaritda da Moises ken Aaron ken nagrebeldeda kenni Yahweh.

and the sons of Eliab, Nemuel, and Dathan and Abiram, —The same, Dathan and Abiram, notable men of the assembly, who contended against Moses and against Aaron in the assembly of Korah, when they contended against Yahweh;

and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up—with Korah also, when the assembly died, —when the fire consumed two hundred and fifty men, and they became a warning;

But, the sons of Korah, died not.

12 Dagitoy ti puli dagiti kaputotan ni Simeon: Babaen kenni Nemuel, ti puli a Nemuelita. Babaen kenni Jamin, ti puli a Jaminita. babaen kenni Jakin, ti puli a Jakinita.

The sons of Simeon, by their families, To Nemuel, pertained the family of the Nemuelites, To Jamin, the family of the Jaminites, —To Jachin, the family of the Jachinites:

13 Babaen kenni Zera, ti puli a Zeranita. Babaen kenni Saul, ti puli a Saulita.

To Zerah, the family of the Zerahites, —To Shaul, the family of the Shaulites:

14 Dagitoy dagiti puli dagiti kaputotan ni Simeon, nga agarup a 22, 200 a lallaki.

These, are the families of the Simeonites, —two and twenty thousand and two hundred.

15 Dagitoy ti puli dagiti kaputotan ni Gad: Babaen kenni Zefon, ti puli dagiti Zefonita, babaen kenni Aggi, ti puli nga Aggita, babaen kenni Suni, ti puli a sunita,

The sons of Gad, by their families, To Zephon, pertained the family of the Zephonites; To Haggi, the family of the Haggites, —To Shuni, the family of the Shunites;

16 babaen kenni Ozni, ti puli nga Oznita, babaen kenni Eri, ti puli nga Erita,

To Ozni, the family of the Oznites, —To Eri, the family of the Erites;

17 babaen kenni Arod, ti puli nga Arodita, babaen kenni Areli, ti puli nga Arelita.

To Arod, the family of the Arodites, —To Arelites, the family of the Arelites:

18 Dagitoy dagiti puli dagiti kaputotan ni Gad, nga agarup a 40, 500 a lallaki ti bilangda.

These, are the families of the sons of Gad, as to them who were numbered of them, —forty thousand and five hundred.

19 Dagiti annak a lalaki ni Juda ket da Er ken Onan ngem natay dagitoy a lallaki idiay daga ti Canaan.

The sons of Judah, Er and Onan, —but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan.

20 Dagiti puli iti dadduma a kaputotan ni Juda ket dagitoy: babaen kenni Sela, ti puli a Selanita, babaen kenni Perez, ti puli a Perezita, ken babaen kenni Zera, ti puli a Zereita.

And so, as to the sons of Judah, by their families, it was found that—To Shelah, pertained the family of the Shelanites, To Perez, the family of the Perezites, —To Zerah, the family of the Zerahites;

21 Dagiti kaputotan ni Perez ket dagitoy: Babaen kenni Hezron, ti puli a Hezronita, babaen kenni Hamul, ti puli a Hamulita.

And, as to the sons of Perez, it was found that—To Hezron, pertained the family of the Hezronites, —To Hamul, the family of the Hamulites:

22 Dagitoy dagiti puli dagiti kaputotan ni Juda, nga agarup a 76, 500 a lallaki ti bilangda.

These, are the families of Judah, as to them who were numbered of them, —seventy-six thousand, and five hundred,

23 Dagiti puli dagiti kaputotan ni Issacar ket dagitoy: Babaen kenni Tola, ti puli a Tolaita, babaen kenni Puva, ti puli a Puanita,

The sons of Issachar, by their families, Unto Tola, pertained the family of the Tolaites, —To Puvah, the family of the Puvites;

24 babaen kenni Jasub, ti puli a Jasubita, babaen kenni Simron, ti puli a Simronita.

To Jashub, the family of the Jashubites, —To Shimron, the family of the Shimronites:

25 Dagitoy dagiti puli ni Issacar, nga agarup a 64, 300 a lallaki ti bilangda.

These, are the families of Issachar. as to them who were numbered of them, —sixty-four thousand, and three hundred.

26 Dagiti puli dagiti kaputotan ni Zebulun ket dagitoy: Babaen kenni Sered, ti puli a Seredita, babaen kenni Elon, ti puli nga Elonita, babaen kenni Jaleel, ti puli a Jaleelita.

The sons of Zebulun, by their families, To Sered, pertained the family of the Seredites, To Elon, the family of the Elonites, —To Jahleel, the family of the Jahleelites:

27 Dagitoy dagiti puli a Zebulonita, nga agarup a 60, 500 a lallaki ti bilangda.

These are the families of the Zebulunites as to them who were numbered of them, —sixty thousand, and five hundred.

28 Dagiti puli dagiti kaputotan ni Jose ket da Manases ken Efraim.

The sons of Joseph by their families, —Manasseh, and Ephraim.

29 Dagiti kaputotan ni Manases ket dagitoy: babaen kenni Makir, ti puli a Makirita (Makir ket ama ni Galaad), babaen kenni Galaad, ti puli a Galaadita.

The sons of Manasseh, To Machir, pertained the family of the Machirites, and, Machir, begat Gilead, —To Gilead, pertained the family of the Gileadites.

30 Dagiti kaputotan ni Galaad ket dagitoy: Babaen kenni Lezer, ti puli a Lezerita, babaen kenni Helek, ti puli a Helekita,

These are the sons of Gilead: Iezer, the family of the Iezerites, —To Helek, the family of the Helekites;

31 babaen kenni Asriel, ti puli nga Asrielita,

And Asriel, the family of the Asrielites; And, Shechem, the family of the Shechemites;

32 babaen kenni Sekem, ti puli a Sekemita, babaen kenni Hefer, ti puli a Heferita.

And Shemida, the family of the Shemidaites; And, Hepher, the family of the Hepherites.

33 Ni Zelofehad nga anak a lalaki ni Hefer ket awan lalaki nga anakna, ngem babbai laeng. Dagiti nagan dagiti annakna a babbai ket da Maala, Noa, Hogla Milca ken Tirza.

Now Zelophehad, son of Hepher, had no sons, but only, daughters, —and, the names of the daughters of Zelophehad, were Mahlah and Noah, Hoglah Milcah, and Tirzah.

34 Dagitoy dagiti puli ni Manases, nga agarup a 52, 700 lallaki ti bilangda.

These, are the families of Manasseh, —and, they who were numbered of them, —fifty-two thousand, and seven hundred.

35 Dagiti puli dagiti kaputotan ni Efraim ket dagitoy: Babaen kenni Sutela, ti puli a Sutelaita, babaen kenni Beker, ti puli a Bekerita, babaen kenni Tahan, ti puli a Tahanita.

These are the sons of Ephraim by their families, To Shuthelah, pertained the family of the Shuthelahites, To Becher, the family of the Becherites, —To Tahan, the family of the Tahanites.

36 Dagiti kaputotan ni Sutela ket babaen kenni Eran, ti puli a Eranita.

And, these, are the sons of Shuthelah, To Eran, pertained the family of the Eranites.

37 Dagitoy dagiti puli dagiti kaputotan ni Efraim, nga agarup a 32, 500 a lallaki ti bilangda. Dagitoy dagiti kaputotan ni Jose, nabilang iti tunggal pulida.

These, are the families of the sons of Ephraim, as to them who were numbered of them, —thirty-two thousand, and five hundred, These, are the sons of Joseph by their families.

38 Dagiti puli dagiti kaputotan ni Benhamin ket dagitoy: Babaen kenni Bela, ti puli a Belaita, babaen kenni Asbel, ti puli nga Asbelita, babaen kenni Ahiram, ti puli nga Ahiramita.

The sons of Benjamin by their families, To Bela, pertained the family of the Belaites, To Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites, —To Ahiram, the family of the Ahiramites;

39 babaen kenni Sufufam, ti puli a Sufufamita, babaen kenni Hufam, ti puli a Hufamita.

To Shephupham, the family of the Shuphamites, —To Hupham, the family of the Huphamites.

40 Dagiti annak a lalaki ni Bela ket da Ard ken Naaman. Manipud kenni Ard, ti puli nga Ardita, ken manipud kenni Naaman, ti puli a Naamanita.

And the sons of Bela were Ard and Naaman, —[To Ard, pertained] the family of the Ardites, To Naaman, the family of the Naamites.

41 Dagitoy dagiti puli dagiti kaputotan ni Benhamin. Agarupda a 45, 600 a lallaki ti bilangda.

These, are the sons of Benjamin by their families, —and they who were numbered of them, —were forty-five thousand and six hundred.

42 Dagiti puli dagiti kaputotan ni Dan ket babaen kenni Suham, ti puli a Suhamita. Dagitoy dagiti puli kadagiti kaputotan ni Dan.

These, are the sons of Dan, by their families: To Shuham, pertained the family of the Shuhamites, —These, are the families of Dan by their families:

43 Amin dagiti puli dagiti Suhamita ket agarup a 64, 400 a lallaki ti bilangda.

All the families of the Shuhamites, as to them who were numbered of them, were, sixty-four thousand, and four hundred.

44 Dagiti puli dagiti kaputotan ni Asher ket dagitoy: Babaen kenni Imna, ti puli nga Iminita, babaen kenni Isvi, ti puli nga Isvita, babaen kenni Beria ti puli a Beriarita.

The sons of Asher, by their families: To Imnah, pertained the family of the Imnites, To Ishvi, the family of the Ishvites, —To Beriah, the family of the Beriites;

45 Dagiti kaputotan ni Beria ket dagitoy: Babaen kenni Heber, ti puli a Heberita, babaen kenni Malkiel, ti puli a Malkielita.

To the sons of Beriah, To Heber, pertained the family of the Heberites, To Malchiel, the family of the Malchielites;

46 Ti nagan ti anak a babai ni Aser ket ni Sera.

And, the name of the daughter of Asher, was Serah.

47 Dagitoy dagiti puli dagiti kaputotan ni Aser, nga agarup a 53, 400 a lallaki ti bilangda.

These, are the families of the sons of Asher as to them who were numbered of them, —fifty-three thousand and four hundred.

48 Dagiti puli dagiti kaputotan ni Naftali ket dagitoy: Babaen kenni Jazeel, ti puli a Jazeelita, babaen kenni Guni, ti puli a Gunita,

The sons of Naphtali, by their families, To Jahzeel, pertained the family of the Jahzeelites; To Guni, the family of the Gunites:

49 babaen kenni Jezer, ti puli a Jezerita, babaen kenni Sillem, ti puli a Sillemita.

To Jezer, the family of the Jezerites; To Shillem, the family of the Shillemites.

50 Dagitoy dagiti puli dagiti kaputotan ni Naftali, nga agarup a 45, 400 a lallaki ti bilangda.

These are the families of Naphtali, by their families, —and they who were numbered of them, were forty-five thousand and four hundred.

51 Daytoy ti naan-anay a bilang dagiti lallaki kadagiti tattao ti Israel: 601, 730.

These, are they who were numbered of the sons of Israel, six hundred and one thousand, —seven hundred and thirty,

52 Nagsao ni Yahweh kenni Moises ket kinunana,

Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying:

53 “Masapul a mabingay ti daga kadagitoy a lallaki a kas tawidda segun iti bilang dagiti naganda.

Unto these, shall be apportioned the land as an inheritance by the number of names.

54 Kadagiti dakdakkel a puli ket masapul nga ikkam ti ad-adu a tawid, ken kadagiti basbassit a puli ket masapul nga ikkam ida ti basbassit a tawid. Iti tunggal pamilia ket masapul nga ikkam ida iti tawid segun kadagiti nabilang a lallaki.

For the large one, thou shalt make large his inheritance, and for the small one, thou shalt make small his inheritance, —unto each one, in proportion to them who were numbered of him, shall be given his inheritance.

55 Nupay kasta, masapul a mabingay ti daga babaen iti panagbunot. Masapul a tawidenda ti daga a kas mabingayto kadagiti tribu dagiti kapuonanda.

Nevertheless by lot, shall the land be apportioned, —by the names of the tribes of their fathers, shall they inherit.

56 Masapul a mabingay ti tawidda kadagiti dakdakkel ken basbasit a puli, maibunong kadakuada babaen iti binnunot.”

At the bidding of the lot, shall be apportioned his inheritance, —between large and small.

57 Dagiti puli dagiti Levita, a nabilang babaen kadagiti puli ket dagitoy, babaen kenni Gerson, ti puli a Gersonita, babaen kenni Coat, ti puli a Coatita, babaen kenni Merari, ti puli a Merarita.

And these, are they who were numbered of the Levites by their families, To Gershon, pertained the family of the Gershonites, To Kohath, the family of the Kohathites; To Merari, the family of the Merarites.

58 Dagiti puli ni Levi ket dagitoy: ti puli a Libnita, ti puli a Hebronita, ti puli a Mahalita, ti puli a Musihita, ken ti puli a Korita. Ni Coat ti kapuonan ni Amram.

These, are the families of Levi—The family of the Libnites, The family of the Hebronites, The family of the Mahlites, The family of the Mushites, The family of the Korahites, —And, Kohath, begat Amram;

59 Jocabed ti nagan ti asawa ni Amram, maysa daytoy a kaputotan ni Levi, a naiyanak kadagiti Levita idiay Egipto. Impaayanna ni Amram iti annakda, a da Aaron, Moises ken ni Miriam a kabsatda a babai.

and the name of the wife of Amram, was Jochebed daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt, —and she bare to Amram Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister:

60 Kenni Aaron ket naiyanak da Nadab ken Abiu, Eleazar ken Itamar.

And, there were born to Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, —Eleazar and Ithamar;

61 Natay ni Nadab ken Abiu idi nangidatonda iti sangoanan ni Yahweh iti saan a maikari nga apuy.

But Nadab and Abihu died, —when they brought near strange fire before Yahweh:

62 Dagiti lallaki a nabilang kadakuada ket agarup a 23, 000, adda makabulan ken agpangato ti tawenna amin dagitoy a lallaki. Ngem saanda a naibilang kadagiti kaputotan ni Israel gapu ta awan tawid a naited kadakuada kadagiti amin a tattao ti Israel.

And they who were numbered of them were found to be—twenty-three thousand, all the males from one month old and upwards—for they had not numbered themselves in the midst of the sons of Israel, because there was given unto them no inheritance, in the midst of the sons of Israel.

63 Dagitoy dagiti nabilang babaen kada Moises ken Eleazar a padi. Binilangda dagiti tattao ti Israel idiay patad ti Moab iti igid ti Jordan idiay Jerico.

These, are they who were numbered by Moses, and Eleazar, the priest, —when they numbered the sons of Israel, in the waste plains of Moab, by Jordan, near Jericho.

64 Ngem kadagitoy ket awan iti tao a nabilang da Moises ken Aaron a padi idi binilangda dagiti kaputotan ni Israel idiay let-ang ti Sinai.

And among these, was there not found a man of them who had been numbered by Moses, and Aaron the priest, —when they numbered the sons of Israel in the desert of Sinai.

65 Ta imbaga ni Yahweh a nasken a matay amin dagitoy a tattao idiay let-ang. Awan natda a tao kadakuada malaksid kenni Caleb nga anak ni Jefone ken ni Josue nga anak ni Nun.

For Yahweh had said of them, They shall surely die, in the desert. And there was not left of them a man, save only, Caleb son of Jephunneh, and Joshua son of Nun.
