< Nehemias 8 >
1 Naguummong dagiti amin a tattao idiay nalawa a disso iti sango ti Ruangan ti Danum para iti maysa a panggep. Kiniddawda kenni Ezra nga eskriba nga iyegna ti Libro ti Linteg ni Moises nga imbilin ni Yahweh iti Israel.
All the people gathered themselves together as one man into the wide place that was in front of the water gate; and they spoke to Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses, which the LORD had commanded to Israel.
2 Iti umuna nga aldaw iti maikapito a bulan, inyeg ni Ezra a padi ti linteg iti sangoanan ti gimong, babbai man wenno lallaki, ken kadagiti amin a makangngeg ken makaawat.
Ezra the priest brought the law before the assembly, both men and women, and all who could hear with understanding, on the first day of the seventh month.
3 Sinangona ti nalawa a disso iti sango ti Ruangan ti Danum, ket binasana daytoy manipud iti agsapa agingga iti agmatuon, iti sangoanan dagiti lallaki ken babbai, ken iti siasinoman a makaawat. Ket dimngeg a nasayaat dagiti tattao iti Libro ti Linteg.
He read from it before the wide place that was in front of the water gate from early morning until midday, in the presence of the men and the women, and of those who could understand. The ears of all the people were attentive to the book of the law.
4 Ket nagtakder ni Ezra nga eskriba iti nangato a kayo a plataforma nga inaramid dagiti tattao para iti daytoy a panggep. Nakatakder iti makannawanna da Mattitias, Sema, Anaias, Urias, Hilkias ken Maaseias; ken nakatakder iti makannigidna da Pedaias, Misael, Malkija, Hasum, Hasbaddana, Zacarias ken Mesullam.
Ezra the scribe stood on a pulpit of wood, which they had made for the purpose; and beside him stood Mattithiah, Shema, Anaiah, Uriah, Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right hand; and on his left hand, Pedaiah, Mishael, Malchijah, Hashum, Hashbaddanah, Zechariah, and Meshullam.
5 Linuktan ni Ezra ti libro iti imatang dagiti amin a tattao gapu ta nakatakder isuna iti ngatoenda, ket nagtakder dagiti amin a tattao apaman a naluktanna daytoy.
Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people (for he was above all the people), and when he opened it, all the people stood up.
6 Nagyaman ni Ezra kenni Yahweh, ti naindaklan a Dios ken inngato dagiti amin a tattao dagiti imada ket insungbatda, “Sapay koma ta kasta! Sapay koma ta kasta!” Kalpasanna, nagpaklebda ket nagdaydayawda kenni Yahweh.
Then Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. All the people answered, “Amen, Amen,” with the lifting up of their hands. They bowed their heads, and worshiped the LORD with their faces to the ground.
7 Tinulongan da Jesua, Bani, Serebias, Jamin, Akkub, Sabbetai, Hodias, Maaseias, Kelita, Azarias, Josabad, Hanan, Pelaias ken dagiti Levita dagiti tattao tapno maawatanda ti linteg kabayatan nga adda latta kadagiti puestoda dagiti tattao.
Also Jeshua, Bani, Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the people to understand the law; and the people stayed in their place.
8 Ken binasada iti libro, ti linteg ti Dios, ket inlawlawagda daytoy babaen iti panangipatarus ken panangitedda iti kaipapanan daytoy tapno maawatan dagiti tattao ti naibasa.
They read in the book, in the law of God, distinctly; and they gave the sense, so that they understood the reading.
9 Ni Nehemias a gobernador, ni Ezra a padi ken eskriba, ken dagiti Levita a mangipalpalawag kadagiti tattao ket kinunada kadagiti amin a tattao, “Nasantoan daytoy nga aldaw kenni Yahweh a Diosyo. Saankayo nga agladingit wenno agsangit.” Ta nagsasangit dagiti amin a tattao idi nangngegda dagiti sasao manipud iti linteg.
Nehemiah, who was the governor, Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people, “Today is holy to the LORD your God. Don’t mourn, nor weep.” For all the people wept when they heard the words of the law.
10 Ket kinunana ni Nehemias kadakuada, “Agawidkayon, mangankayo iti naimas a taraon ken uminumkayo iti nasam-it, ket mangtedkayo kadagiti awan ti naisaganana gapu ta nasantoan daytoy nga aldaw iti Apotayo. Saankayo nga agladingit, ta ti rag-o ni Yahweh ti pigsayo.”
Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared, for today is holy to our Lord. Don’t be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”
11 Isu a pinagulimek dagiti Levita dagiti tattao a kunada, “Agtalnakayo! ta nasantoan daytoy nga aldaw. Saankayo nga agladingit.”
So the Levites calmed all the people, saying, “Hold your peace, for the day is holy. Don’t be grieved.”
12 Ket nagawid dagiti tattao tapno mangan, uminum, mangibingay iti makan, ken agrambakda nga addaan iti kasta unay a rag-o gapu ta naawatanda dagiti sasao a naipakaammo kadakuada.
All the people went their way to eat, to drink, to send portions, and to celebrate, because they had understood the words that were declared to them.
13 Iti maikadua nga aldaw, dagiti panguloen dagiti kapuonan ti pamilia manipud kadagiti amin a tattao, dagiti padi ken dagiti Levita ket sangsangkamaysada a napan kenni Ezra nga eskriba tapno adalenda dagiti sasao ti linteg.
On the second day, the heads of fathers’ households of all the people, the priests, and the Levites were gathered together to Ezra the scribe, to study the words of the law.
14 Ket nakitada a nakailanad iti linteg no kasano nga imbilin ni Yahweh babaen kenni Moises a rumbeng nga agnaed kadagiti tolda dagiti tattao ti Israel kabayatan ti fiesta iti maikapito a bulan.
They found written in the law how the LORD had commanded by Moses that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month;
15 Rumbeng nga iwaragawagda iti amin a siudadda ken iti Jerusalem, a kunada, “Mapankayo idiay katurturodan, ken mangalakayo kadagiti sanga ti kayo nga olibo ken balang nga olibo, sangsanga ti mirto, sangsanga ti palma ken sangsanga dagiti narukbos a kayo tapno agaramidkayo kadagiti abong-abong,” a kas naisurat.
and that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities and in Jerusalem, saying, “Go out to the mountain, and get olive branches, branches of wild olive, myrtle branches, palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make temporary shelters, as it is written.”
16 Isu a napan nangala dagiti tattao kadagiti sanga ket nagaramidda kadagiti abong-abong iti tuktok dagiti babbalayda, kadagiti paraanganda, kadagiti paraangan ti balay ti Dios, iti nalawa a disso iti abay ti Ruangan ti Danum ken iti plasa iti abay ti Ruangan ni Efraim.
So the people went out and brought them, and made themselves temporary shelters, everyone on the roof of his house, in their courts, in the courts of God’s house, in the wide place of the water gate, and in the wide place of Ephraim’s gate.
17 Ket nagaramid dagti amin a gimong dagiti nakasubli manipud iti pannakaitalawda a kas balud kadagiti abong-abong sada nagyan kadagitoy. Agsipud ta saan a rinambakan dagiti tattao ti Israel daytoy a fiesta manipud iti aldaw ni Josue a putot ni Nun agingga iti dayta nga aldaw. Ket kasta unay ti rag-oda.
All the assembly of those who had come back out of the captivity made temporary shelters and lived in the temporary shelters, for since the days of Joshua the son of Nun to that day the children of Israel had not done so. There was very great gladness.
18 Manipud iti umuna nga aldaw agingga iti maudi, inaldaw nga agbasa ni Ezra manipud iti Libro iti Linteg ti Dios. Rinambakanda ti fiesta iti pito nga aldaw ken iti maikawalo nga aldaw ket nangangayda iti napasnek a panagguummong a kas panagtulnog iti paglintegan.
Also day by day, from the first day to the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. They kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according to the ordinance.
