< Mateo 8 >

1 Idi simmalog ni Jesus manipud iti turod, simmurot kenkuana dagiti adu a tattao.
When Jesus had come down from the hill, great crowds followed him.
2 Pagammoan, adda agketong nga immasideg ken nagparintumeng iti sangoananna, a kunana, “Apo, no pagayatam, mabalinnak pagbalinen a nadalus.”
He saw a leper who came up, and bowed to the ground before him, and said, “Master, if only you are willing, you are able to make me clean.”
3 Inyunnat ni Jesus ti imana ket sinagidna isuna, a kunana, “Pagayatak. Madalusanka.” Dagus a nadalusan isuna iti ketongna.
Stretching out his hand, Jesus touched him, saying as he did so, “I am willing; become clean.” Instantly he was made clean from his leprosy;
4 Kinuna ni Jesus kenkuana, “Kitaem ta awan ti siasinoman a pangibagaam. Mapankan iti dalanmo, ken ipakitam ta bagim iti padi, ket idatonmo ti sagut nga imbilin ni Moises, kas pammaneknek kadakuada.
and then Jesus said to him, “Be careful not to say a word to anyone, but go and show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift directed by Moses, as evidence of your cure.”
5 Idi simrek ni Jesus idiay Capernaum, immasideg kenkuana ti maysa a senturion ket nagdawat iti tulong kenkuana,
After Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion in the Roman army came up to him, entreating his help.
6 a kunana, “Apo, ti adipenko ket nakaidda iti balayko, saan a makakuti ken agsagsagaba iti nakaro nga ut-ot.”
“Sir,” he said, “my manservant is lying ill at my house with a stroke of paralysis, and is suffering terribly.”
7 Kinuna ni Jesus kenkuana, “Umayak ket paimbagek isuna.”
“I will come and cure him,” answered Jesus.
8 Simmungbat ti senturion ket kinunana, “Apo, saanak a maikari tapno sumrekka iti sirok ti bubongak, ibagam laeng ti sao ket umimbagen ti adipenko.
“Sir,” the centurion went on, “I am unworthy to receive you under my roof; but only speak, and my manservant will be cured.
9 Ta uray siak ket maysa a tao a naisaad iti babaen ti turay, ket addaanak met iti soldado. Ibagak iti maysa, 'Mapanka', ket mapan isuna, ken iti maysa pay, 'Umayka', ket umay isuna, ken iti adipenko, 'Aramidem daytoy,' ket aramidenna.”
For I myself am a man under the orders of others, with soldiers under me; and, if I say to one of them ‘Go,’ he goes, and to another ‘Come,’ he comes, and to my slave ‘Do this,’ he does it.”
10 Idi nanggeg ni Jesus daytoy, nasdaaw ket kinunana kadagiti sumursurot kenkuana, “Pudno, ibagak kadakayo, awan pay ti nasarakak nga addaan iti kastoy a pammati ditoy Israel.
Jesus was surprised to hear this, and said to those who were following him, “Never I tell you, in any Israelite have I met with such faith as this!
11 Ibagak kadakayo, adunto ti umay manipud iti daya ken iti laud, ket agsanggirdanto iti lamisaan a kaduada ni Abraham, ni Isaac, kenni Jacob, idiay pagarian ti langit.
Yes, and many will come in from East and West and take their places beside Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven;
12 Ngem dagiti annak ti pagarian ket maipuruakto idiay akinruar a kasipngetan, a no sadino ket addanto iti sangsangit ken panagngaretnget dagiti ngipen.”
while the heirs to the kingdom will be banished into the darkness outside; there, there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.”
13 Imbaga ni Jesus iti senturion, “Mapanka! Kas iti pinatim, isu ngarud ti maaramid para kenka.” Ket immimbag ti adipen iti dayta met laeng nga oras.
Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go now, and it will be according to your faith.” And the man was cured that very hour.
14 Idi napan ni Jesus idiay balay ni Pedro, nakita niJesus ti babai a katugangan ni Pedro a nakaidda nga agsakit ken addaan iti gurigor.
When Jesus went into Peter’s house, he saw Peter’s mother-in-law prostrated with fever.
15 Sinagid ni Jesus ti imana, ket pinanawan isuna ti gurigorna. Kalpasanna ket bimmangon isuna ket inrugina ti nagserbi kenkuana.
On his taking her hand, the fever left her, and she rose and began to take care of him.
16 Idi dimtengen ti rabii, inyeg dagiti tattao kenni Jesus dagiti adu a linuganan dagiti demonio. Pinaksiatna dagiti espiritu babaen iti maysa a sao ken pinaimbagna dagiti amin a masakit.
In the evening the people brought to Jesus many who were possessed by demons; and he drove out the spirits with a word, and cured all who were ill,
17 Iti kastoy a wagas, natungpal ti insao ni Isaias a profeta, a kunana, “Isuna a mismo innalana dagiti an-annayentayo ken sinagabana dagiti saksakittayo.''
in fulfillment of these words in the prophet Isaiah – ‘He took our infirmities on himself, and bore the burden of our diseases.’
18 Ita, idi nakita ni Jesus dagiti adu a tattao iti aglawlawna, imbilinna a pumanawda a mapan iti ballasiw ti Baybay ti Galilea.
Seeing a crowd around him, Jesus gave orders to go across.
19 Ket adda eskriba a napan kenkuana ket kinunana, “Manursuro, sumurotak kenka iti sadinoman a papanam.”
A teacher of the Law came up to him, and said, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.”
20 Kinuna ni Jesus kenkuana, “Addaan iti abut dagiti musang, ken addaan iti umok dagiti billit iti tangatang, ngem ti Anak ti Tao ket awanan iti pangiyiddaanna iti ulona.''
“Foxes have holes,” answered Jesus, “and wild birds their nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”
21 Adda met maysa kadagiti adalanna ti nagkuna kenkuana, “Apo, ipalubosmo nga umuna a mapanak ken ipunponko ti amak.”
“Master,” said another, who was a disciple, “let me first go and bury my father.”
22 Ngem kinuna ni Jesus kenkuana, “Surotennak, ket ibatim ti natay a mangipunpon iti bukodda a minatay.”
But Jesus answered, “Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their dead.”
23 Idi limmugan ni Jesus iti maysa a bangka, limmugan met dagiti adalanna iti daytoy.
Then he got into the boat, followed by his disciples.
24 Pagammoan, adda rimsua a dakkel a bagyo iti baybay, isu a nalengdan ti bangka kadagiti dalluyon. Ngem nakaturog ni Jesus.
Suddenly so great a storm came up on the sea, that the waves broke right over the boat. But Jesus was asleep;
25 Napan kenkuana dagiti adalan ket riniingda isuna, a kunada, “Isalakannakami, Apo; mataytayon!”
and the disciples came and roused him. “Master,” they cried, “save us; we are lost!”
26 Kinuna ni Jesus kadakuada, “Apay a mabutengkayo, dakayo a bassit ti pammatina?” Kalpasanna, bimmangon isuna ket tinubngarna dagiti angin ken ti baybay. Ket adda ti naisangsangayan a panagtalna.
“Why are you so timid?” he said. “You of little faith!” Then Jesus rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and a great calm followed.
27 Nasdaaw dagiti lallaki ket kinunada, “Ania a kita ti tao daytoy, nga uray pay dagiti angin ken ti baybay ket agtulnog kenkuana?”
The men were amazed, and exclaimed, “What kind of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!”
28 Idi dimteng ni Jesus iti ballasiw ken iti pagilian dagiti Gadareno, sinabat isuna dagiti dua a lallaki a linuganan dagiti demonio. Rimmuarda kadagiti tanem ket kasta unay ti rungsotda, isu nga awan ti agdaldaliasat a makalabas iti dayta a dalan.
On getting to the other side – the region of the Gadarenes – Jesus met two men who were possessed by demons, coming out of the tombs. They were so violent that no one was able to pass that way.
29 Pagammoan, nagikkisda ket kinunada, “Ania aya iti pakainaiganmi kenka, Anak ti Dios? Immayka kadi ditoy a mangparigat kadakami sakbay iti naituding a tiempo?''
Suddenly they shrieked out, “What do you want with us, Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before our time?”
30 Ita, adda sadiay iti arban dagiti adu a baboy a mangmangan, iti saan unay nga adayo manipud kadakuada.
A long way off, there was a herd of many pigs, feeding;
31 a nagsardeng dagiti dakes nga espiritu a nagpakaasi kenni Jesus a kunada, “No papanawennakami, ibaonnakami iti dayta nga arban dagiti baboy.”
and the foul spirits began begging Jesus, “If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.”
32 Kinuna ni Jesus kadakuada, “Mapankayo!” Rimmuar dagiti demonio ket napanda kadagiti baboy. Ket pagammoan, nagdardaras ti sibubukel nga arban a bimmaba iti rangkis ti turod ket nagturong iti baybay ket natayda iti danum.
“Go,” he said. The spirits came out, and entered the pigs; and the whole herd rushed down the steep slope into the sea, and died in the water.
33 Ket dagiti lallaki nga agtartaraken kadagiti baboy ket nagtatarayda nga immadayo. Ket idi napanda iti siudad, impadamagda amin, nangnangruna ti napasamak kadagiti lallaki a linuganan idi dagiti demonio.
At this the men who tended them ran away and went to the town, carrying the news of all that had occurred, and of what had happened to the possessed men.
34 Ket rimmuar ti entero a siudad a napan iti ayan ni Jesus. Idi nakitada isuna, nagpakpakaasida a pumanaw isuna iti rehionda.
At the news the whole town went out to meet Jesus, and, when they saw him, they entreated him to go away from their region.
