1 Kitaenyo a saan nga iti sangoanan dagiti tattao ti pangaramidanyo kadagiti nalinteg nga aramidyo tapno makitada, ta no saan, awanto ti gunggonayo manipud iti Amayo nga adda sadi langit.
But take heed that ye do not your righteousness before men, to be seen by them; otherwise ye have no reward with your Father who is in heaven.
2 Isu a no mangtedkayo iti limos, saanyo a pagunien ti trumpeta iti sangoananyo kas iti ar-aramiden dagiti managinsisingpet kadagiti sinagoga ken kadagiti kalkalsada, tapno padayawan ida dagiti tatttao. Pudno, ibagak kadakayo, inawatdan ti gunggonada.
Therefore when thou doest alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Truly do I say to you, They have received their reward.
3 Ngem no mangtedkayo iti limos, saanyo nga ipakaammo iti makannigid nga imayo no ania ti ar-aramiden ti makannawan nga imayo,
But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth;
4 tapno ti sagutyo ket maited a nalimed. Ket ti Amayo a makakita iti nalimed ket gunggonaannakayo.
that thine alms may be in secret; and thy Father, who seeth in secret, will reward thee.
5 Ket no agkararagkayo, saankayo koma a maipada kadagiti managinsisingpet, ta isuda pagay-ayatda ti agtakder ken agkararag idiay sinagoga ken kadagiti suli ti kalsada, tapno makita isuda dagiti tattao. Pudno, ibagak kadakayo, naawatdan ti gunggonada.
And when ye pray, ye shall not be as the hypocrites are; for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Truly do I say to you, They have received their reward.
6 Ngem dakayo, no agkararagkayo, sumrekkayo iti siledyo. Irikepyo ti ruangan, ket agkararagkayo iti Amayo nga adda iti nalimed. Ket ti Amayo a makakita iti nalimed ket gunggonaannakayo.
But do thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and, when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father who is in secret; and thy Father, who seeth in secret, will reward thee.
7 Ket no agkararagkayo, saankayo nga agkakararag a paulit-ulit nga awan serserbina a kas iti ar-aramiden dagiti Hentil, ta panpanunotenda a mabalinto a mangngegan ida gapu iti adu a sarsaritaenda.
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do; for they think that they shall be heard for the multitude of their words.
8 Ngarud, saankayo a maipada kadakuada, ta ammo ti Amayo no ania dagiti banbanag a kasapulanyo sakbay a dawatenyo kenkuana.
Be not ye therefore like them; for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
9 Ngarud, agkakaragkayo a kas iti daytoy: 'Amami nga adda sadi langit, madaydayaw koma ti naganmo.
After this manner therefore pray ye: —Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name;
10 Umay koma ti pagariam, matungpal koma ti pagayatam, ditoy daga a kas met iti langit.
thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven;
11 Itedmo kadakami ita ti tinapaymi iti inaldaw.
give us this day our daily bread;
12 Pakawanennakami kadagiti utangmi, a kas met iti panangpakawanmi kadagiti nakautang kadakami.
and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors;
13 Ket saannakami nga ipan iti sulisog, ngem isalakannakami manipud iti managdakdakes.'
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
14 Ta no pakawanenyo dagiti tattao iti naglabsinganda, ti Amayo nga adda sadi langit ket pakawanennakayto met.
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you;
15 Ngem no saanyo a pakawanen dagiti naglabsinganda, saanto met pakawanen ti Amayo dagiti naglabsinganyo.
but if ye do not forgive men, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
16 Kanayonanna pay, no kasta nga agayunarkayo, saan koma a naladingit ti rupayo a kas iti ar-aramiden dagiti managinsisingpet, ta agruppangetda tapno kasla agay-ayunarda iti panagkita dagiti tattao. Pudno, ibagak kadakayo, naawatdan ti gunggonada.
Moreover, when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance; for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear to men to be fasting. Truly do I say to you, They have received their reward.
17 Ngem dakayo, no kasta nga agayunarkayo, sapsapuanyo ti uloyo ken agdiram-uskayo.
But do thou, when thou fastest, anoint thy head, and wash thy face;
18 Tapno saankayo a kasla agay-ayunar iti panagkita dagiti tattao, ket ti Amayo a makakita iti nalimed ket gunggonaannakayo.
that thou appear not to men to be fasting, but to thy Father who is in secret; and thy Father, who seeth in secret, will reward thee.
19 Saanyo nga iyurnongan dagiti bagbagiyo kadagiti kinabaknang ditoy daga, no sadino ket dadaelen ti insekto ken lati, ken no sadino ket serken ken takawen dagiti agtatakaw.
Lay not up for yourselves treasures on earth, where the moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal;
20 Ngem ketdi, agurnongkayo iti kinabaknang idiay langit, sadiay ket saan a makadadael ti insekto ken lati, ken sadiay ket saan a makaserrek ken agtakaw dagiti agtatakaw.
but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumeth, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.
21 Ta no sadino ti ayan ti kinabaknangyo, adda met sadiay ti pusoyo.
For where thy treasure is, there will thy heart be also.
22 Ti mata ket isu ti silaw ti bagi. Ngarud, no nasayaat ti matayo, ti sibubukel a bagi ket napnoan iti lawag.
The eye is the lamp of the body. If thine eye he clear, thy whole body will be in light;
23 Ngem no saan a nasayaat ti matayo, ti sibubukel a bagiyo ket napnoan iti kinasipnget. Ngarud, no ti lawag nga adda kadakayo ket kinasipnget gayam, anian a nagkaro dayta a kinasipnget!
but if thine eye be disordered, thy whole body will be in darkness. If then the light that is within thee is darkness, how great that darkness!
24 Awan ti makapagserbi iti dua nga amo, ta no kasta, mabalin a guraenna ti maysa ket ayatenna ti maysa, ta no saan, napudno iti maysa ket umsienna ti maysa. Saankayo a makapagserbi iti Dios ken iti kinabaknang.
No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate one, and love the other; or else he will cleave to one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
25 Ngarud ibagak kadakayo, saanyo a pakadanagan ti maipanggep iti biagyo, no anianto ti kanenyo wenno no anianto ti inumenyo — wenno ti maipanggep iti bagiyo, no anianto ti ikawesyo. Ta saan aya a napatpateg ti biag ngem ti taraon, ken napatpateg ti bagi ngem dagiti kawes?
Therefore I say to you, Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than food, and the body than raiment?
26 Kitaenyo dagiti billit iti tangatang. Saanda nga agmula wenno agapit wenno agipenpen kadagiti kamalig, ngem tartaraonan ida ti Amayo nga adda sadi langit. Saan kadi a napatpategkayo ngem kadakuada?
Behold the birds of the air, that they sow not, nor reap, nor gather into barns; and your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are not ye of much greater value than they?
27 Ket siasino kadakayo ti makapaatiddog iti biagna iti maysa a kasiko babaen iti panagdandanagna?
But who of you by anxious thought can add to his life one cubit?
28 Apay a pakadanaganyo ti maipapan iti pagkawesyo? Panunotenyo dagiti lirio kadagiti tay-ak, no kasanoda a dumakkel. Saanda nga agtrabaho, ken saanda nga agabel iti lupot.
And why are ye anxious about raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They toil not, neither do they spin;
29 Ngem ibagak kadakayo, uray ni Solomon iti amin a dayagna, ket saan a nakawesan a kas iti maysa kadagitoy.
and yet I say to you, that not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed like one of these.
30 No kawkawesan ti Dios dagiti ruot kadagiti kataltalonan, a tumaud ita ken inton bigat ket maipuruak iti urno, saan aya nga ad-adda pay a kawesannakayo, dakayo a bassit ti pammatina?
And if God so clothes the herbage of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into an oven, will he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Ngarud, saankayo nga agdanag ket kunaen, 'Anianto ti kanenmi?' wenno, 'Anianto ti inumenmi?' wenno, 'Anianto ti lupot a pagkawesmi?'
Therefore be not anxious, saying, What shall we eat, or what shall we drink, or wherewith shall we he clothed?
32 Ta dagiti Hentil ket sapsapulenda dagitoy a banbanag, ket ti Amayo nga adda sadi langit ket ammona a kasapulanyo dagitoy.
For after all these things do the gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 Ngem birukenyo nga umuna ti pagarian ti Dios ken ti kinalintegna ket amin dagitoy a banbanag ket maitedto kadakayo.
But seek first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will also be given you.
34 Ngarud, saanyo a pakadanagan ti usarenyo iti sumaruno nga aldaw, ta ti sumaruno nga aldaw pakadanagannanto ti bagbagina. Iti tumunggal aldaw ket addaan iti umdas a pakariribukanna.
Be not then anxious about the morrow; for the morrow will be anxious about itself. Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof.
