< Mateo 5 >

1 Idi nakita ni Jesus dagiti adu a tattao, simmang-at isuna iti bantay. Idi nagtugaw isuna, immay dagiti adalanna kenkuana.
When Jesus saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain and sat down. His disciples came to Him,
2 Nagsao ket sinuroanna ida, a kunana,
and He began to teach them, saying:
3 “Nabendisionan dagiti napanglaw iti espiritu, ta kukuada ti pagarian ti langit.
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Nabendisionan dagiti agladladingit, ta maliwliwadanto.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
5 Nabendisionan dagiti naemma, ta tawidendanto ti daga.
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
6 Nabendisionan dagiti mabisin ken mawaw iti kinalinteg, ta mapunnodanto.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
7 Nabendisionan dagiti manangngaasi, ta magun-oddanto ti asi.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
8 Nabendisionan dagiti nasin-aw ti pusona, ta makitadanto ti Dios.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
9 Nabendisionan dagiti mamagkappia, ta maawagandanto nga annak ti Dios.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
10 Nabendisionan dagiti maparparigat gapu iti kinalinteg, ta kukuadanto ti pagarian ti langit.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Nabendisionankayo no laisendakayo ken parigatendakayo dagiti tattao, wenno isawangda amin a kita ti dakes a banbanag maibusor kadakayo gapu kaniak.
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.
12 Agrag-o ken agragsakkayo la unay, ta naindaklan ti gunggonayo sadi langit. Ta iti kastoy a wagas a pinarigat dagiti tattao dagiti profeta a nagbiag sakbay kadakayo.
Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets before you.
13 Dakayo ti asin ti daga. Ngem no napukawen ti raman ti asin, kasano a pagbalinen manen a naapgad? Saanen a pulos a nasayaat para iti aniaman a banag, malaksid nga ibelleng iti ruar ket mapayatpayatan dagiti tattao.
You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its savor, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.
14 Dakayo ti silaw ti lubong. Ti siudad a nabangon iti rabaw ti turod ket saan a mailemmeng.
You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.
15 Kasta met nga awan ti tao a mangsindi iti pagsilawan sana ikabil iti sirok ti maysa a basket, ngem ikabilna ketdi iti nairanta a pagsilawan, ket aglawag para iti tumunggal maysa nga adda iti balay.
Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, they set it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
16 Pagraniagenyo dagiti silawyo iti imatang dagiti tattao iti wagas a makitada dagiti nasayaat nga aramidyo ket dayawenda ti Dios Ama nga adda sadi langit.
In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
17 Saanyo a panunoten nga immayak a mangdadael iti linteg wenno dagiti profeta. Saanak nga immay tapno dadaelen ida, ngem tapno tungpalen dagitoy.
Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them.
18 Ta pudno, ibagak kadakayo nga agingga a mapukaw ti langit ken daga, awan ti uray maysa a kur-it wenno tolnek a mapukaw manipud iti linteg, agingga a matungpal amin a banbanag.
For I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
19 Ngarud, siasinoman a mangsalungasing iti kababaan kadagitoy a bilbilin ken mangisuro kadagitoy iti dadduma tapno aramidenda met ket maawaganto a kababaan idiay pagarian ti langit. Ngem siasinoman a mangtungpal kadagitoy ken mangisuro kadagitoy ket maawaganto a natan-ok idiay pagarian ti langit.
So then, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do likewise will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever practices and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20 Ta ibagak kadakayo a makastrekkayo iti pagarian ti langit no maartapan ti kinalintegyo ti kinalinteg dagiti eskriba ken dagiti Pariseo.
For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
21 Nangngeganyo a naibaga kadakuada idi un-unana a tiempo, 'Saanka a pumatay,' ken, 'Siasinoman a pumatay ket agpeggadto iti pannakaukom.'
You have heard that it was said to the ancients, ‘Do not murder’ and ‘Anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’
22 Ngem ibagak kadakayo a tunggal maysa a makaunget iti kabsatna ket agpeggadto iti pannakaukom. Ken siasinoman a mangibaga iti kabsatna, 'Awan serserbim a tao!' ket agpeggadto iti konseho. Ket siasinoman a mangibaga iti, 'Sika a maag!' ket agpeggadto iti apuy ti impierno. (Geenna g1067)
But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, ‘Raca,’ will be subject to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be subject to the fire of hell. (Geenna g1067)
23 Ngarud no mangidatagka iti sagutmo idiay altar ket idiay nalagipmo a ti kabsatmo ket addaan iti sakit ti nakem kenka,
So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you,
24 ibatim ti sagutmo iti sango ti altar, ket mapanka iti dalanmo. Makikappiaka pay nga umuna iti kabsatmo, ket kalpasanna mapanka ket idatagnmo ti sagutmo.
leave your gift there before the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.
25 Makikinnaawatanka a dagus iti nangidarum kenka kabayatan a kaduam isuna iti dalan a mapan iti pangukoman, wenno saan ti nangidarum kenka ket ipaimanaka iti ukom, ket ti ukom ipaimanaka iti opisial, ket mabalin a maibaludka iti pagbaludan.
Reconcile quickly with your adversary, while you are still on the way to court. Otherwise, he may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison.
26 Pudno, ibagak kadakayo, saankanto a makarruar manipud sadiay agingga a mabayadam amin a binulodmo.
Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.
27 Nangngegyo a naibaga, 'Saanka a makikamalala.'
You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’
28 Ngem ibagak kadakayo a siasinoman a kumita iti babai nga addaan panaggartem kenkuana ket nakikamalalan kenkuana iti pusona.
But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
29 No ti makannawan a matam ti makagapu a maitublakka, suatem ken ibellengmo iti adayo manipud kenka. Ta nasaysayaat para kenka a mapukaw ti maysa a paset ti bagim ngem maitapuak ta sibubukel a bagim iti impierno. (Geenna g1067)
If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. (Geenna g1067)
30 Ket no ti makannawan nga imam ti makagapu a maitublakka, putdem ken ibellengmo iti adayo manipud kenka. Ta nasaysayaat para kenka a mapukaw ti maysa a paset ti bagim ngem ti itapuaknaka ti Dios ti entero a bagim iti impierno. (Geenna g1067)
And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to depart into hell. (Geenna g1067)
31 Naibaga pay, 'Siasinoman a mangpapanaw iti asawana a babai, ikkanna koma iti kasuratan ti panagsina.'
It has also been said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.’
32 Ngem ibagak kadakayo a siasinoman a mangisina iti asawana a babai, malaksid no gapu iti kinaderrep, pagbalinenna isuna a mannakikamalala. Ken ti siasinoman a mangasawa kenkuana kalpasan a naisina ket makikamkamalala.
But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, brings adultery upon her. And he who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
33 Nangngeganyo manen a naibaga kadagiti adda idi un-unana a tiempo, 'Diyo sapataan iti inuulbod ti kariyo, ngem tungpalenyo ti inkariyo iti Apo.'
Again, you have heard that it was said to the ancients, ‘Do not break your oath, but fulfill your vows to the Lord.’
34 Ngem ibagak kadakayo, saankayo nga agsapata uray pay babaen iti langit, ta isu ti trono ti Dios;
But I tell you not to swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne;
35 wenno babaen iti daga, ta isu ti pagbatayan dagiti sakana; wenno babaen iti Jerusalem, ta isu ti siudad ti naindaklan nga Ari.
or by the earth, for it is His footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.
36 Saanyo nga iraman ti uloyo iti panagkariyo, ta saankayo a makaaramid iti maysa a buok a puraw wenno nangisit.
Nor should you swear by your head, for you cannot make a single hair white or black.
37 Ngem kastoy koma ti kunayo, 'Wen, no wen,' wenno 'Saan, no saan.' Ta aniaman a banag a nalablabes ngem iti daytoy ket nagtaud iti daydiay a managdakdakes.
Simply let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ Anything more comes from the evil one.
38 Nangngegyo a naibaga, 'Mata para iti mata, ken ngipen para iti ngipen.'
You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.’
39 Ngem ibagak kadakayo, saanyo a kalabanen ti managdakdakes. Ngem ketdi, siasinoman a mangtungpa iti makannawan a pingpingmo, itayam pay ti bangir a pingpingmo.
But I tell you not to resist an evil person. If someone slaps you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also;
40 Ket no adda agtarigagay a mangidarum kenka idiay pangukoman ken alaenna ti kawesmo, palubosam dayta a tao nga alaenna pay ti kagaymo.
if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well;
41 Ket siasinoman a mangpilit kenka a mangdaliasat iti maysa a milia, kumuyogka kenkuana iti dua.
and if someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.
42 Mangtedka iti siasinoman nga agdawat kenka, ken saanmo a tallikudan ti siasinoman nga agtarigagay nga agbulod kenka.
Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.
43 Nangngegyo a naibaga, 'Ayatem ti kaarrubam ken guraem ti kabusormo.'
You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor’ and ‘Hate your enemy.’
44 Ngem ibagak kadakayo, ayatenyo dagiti kabusoryo ken ikararaganyo dagiti mangparparigat kadakayo,
But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
45 tapno agbalinkayo nga annak ti Amayo nga adda sadi langit. Ta inaramidna ti initna nga agraniag kadagiti dakes ken naimbag, ken mangmangted iti tudo kadagiti nalinteg ken saan a nalinteg.
that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
46 Ta no ay-ayatenyo dagiti mangay-ayat kadakayo, ania ti magunggonayo? Saan kadi nga uray dagiti agsingsingir iti buis ket aramidenda ti kasta met laeng a banag?
If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Do not even tax collectors do the same?
47 Ket no dagiti laeng kakabsatyo ti kablaawanyo, ania ti ar-aramidenyo a nasaysayaat ngem kadagiti dadduma? Saan kadi nga uray dagiti Hentil ket aramidenda ti kasta met laeng a banag?
And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even Gentiles do the same?
48 Ngarud, masapul nga awan ti pagkuranganyo, kas iti Amayo nga adda sadi langit nga awan pagkuranganna.
Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
