Mateo 17

Six day later, Jesus took with Him Peter and the brothers James and John, and brought them up a high mountain to a solitary place.
2 Nagbaliw ti langana iti sangoananda. Nagraniag ti rupana a kasla init, ket sumilapsilap dagiti pagan-anayna a kas iti lawag.
There in their presence His form underwent a change; His face shone like the sun, and His raiment became as white as the light.
3 Pagammoan, nagparang kadakuada sadiay da Moises ken Elias a makitungtungtong kenkuana.
And suddenly Moses and Elijah appeared to them conversing with Him.
4 Simmungbat ni Pedro ket kinunana kenni Jesus, “Apo, nagsayaat ti kaaddatayo ditoy. No tarigagayam, agaramidak iti tallo a paglinongan ditoy-maysa para kenka, ken maysa para kenni Moises, ken maysa para kenni Elias.”
Then Peter said to Jesus, "Master, we are thankful to you that we are here. If you approve, I will put up three tents here, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."
5 Kabayatan nga agsasao pay laeng isuna, pagammoan, maysa a naraniag nga ulep ti nanglinong kadakuada, kellaat nga adda timek a nagtaud iti ulep, a kunana, “Daytoy ti ay-ayatek nga Anakko, a pakaay-ayoak unay. Dumngegkayo kenkuana.”
He was still speaking when a luminous cloud spread over them; and a voice was heard from within the cloud, which said, "This is My Son dearly beloved, in whom is My delight. Listen to Him."

On hearing this voice, the disciples fell on their faces and were filled with terror.
7 Ket immay ni Jesus ken sinagidna ida ket kinunana, “Tumakderkayo ken saankayo nga agbuteng.”
But Jesus came and touched them, and said, "Rouse yourselves and have no fear."
8 Kalpasanna, timmangadda ngem awan ti nakitada no di laeng ni Jesus.
So they looked up, and saw no one but Jesus.
9 Bayat a sumalsalogda iti bantay, binilin ida ni Jesus, a kunana, “Awan pangipadamaganyo iti daytoy a sirmata agingga a mapagungar ti Anak ti Tao manipud kadagiti natay.”
As they were descending the mountain, Jesus laid a command upon them. "Tell no one," He said, "of the sight you have seen till the Son of Man has risen from among the dead."
10 Nagsaludsod dagiti adalanna kenkuana, a kunada, “Apay ngarud nga ibagbaga dagiti eskriba a masapul nga umay nga umuna ni Elias?”
"Why then," asked the disciples, "do the Scribes say that Elijah must first come?"
11 Simmungbat ni Jesus ket kinunana, “Pudno nga umay ni Elias ket pasublienna iti sigud a kasasaad ti amin a banag.
"Elijah was indeed to come," He replied, "and would reform everything.
12 Ngem ibagak kadakayo, immayen ni Elias, ngem saanda a nabigbig isuna. Ngem ketdi, inaramidda kenkuana ti aniaman a kinayatda nga aramiden. Iti isu met laeng a wagas, agsagabanto met ti Anak ti Tao kadagiti imada.”
But I tell you that he has already come, and they did not recognize him, but dealt with him as they chose. And before long the Son of Man will be treated by them in a similar way."
13 Ket naawatan dagiti adalan a ni Juan a Mammuniag ti ibagbagana kadakuada.
Then it dawned upon the disciples that it was John the Baptist about whom He had spoken to them.
14 Idi dimtengda iti ayan ti adu ti tattao, immasideg kenkuana ti maysa a lalaki, nagparintumeng iti sangoananna ket kinunana,
When they had returned to the people, there came to Him a man who fell on his knees before Him and besought Him.
15 “Apo, maasika iti anakko a lalaki, ta agkissiw ket nakaro ti panagsagabana. Ta kanayon isuna a matumba iti apuy wenno iti danum.
"Sir," he said, "have pity on my son, for he is an epileptic and is very ill. Often he falls into the fire and often into the water.
16 Impanko isuna kadagiti adalam ngem saanda a mapaimbag isuna.”
I have brought him to your disciples, and they have not been able to cure him."
17 Simmungbat ni Jesus ket kinunana, “Awanan pammati ken managdakdakes a kaputotan, kasano kabayag ti pannakikaaddak kadakayo? Kasano kabayag ti panaganusko kadakayo? Iyegyo isuna kaniak ditoy.”
"O unbelieving and perverse generation!" replied Jesus; "how long shall I be with you? how long shall I endure you? Bring him to me."
18 Tinubngar ni Jesus ti demonio, ket rimmuar daytoy iti ubing a lalaki ket naimbagan ti ubing a lalaki manipud iti dayta nga oras.
Then Jesus reprimanded the demon, and it came out and left him; and the boy was cured from that moment.
19 Kalpasanna, immay dagiti adalan kenni Jesus idi agmaymaysan isuna ket kinunada, “Apay ta saanmi a nabaelan a napapanaw daytoy?”
Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and asked Him, "Why could not we expel the demon?"
20 Kinuna ni Jesus kadakuada, “Gapu ta bassit a pammatiyo. Ta ibagak ti pudno kadakayo, no adda pammatiyo uray no kas kabassit iti bukel ti mustasa, mabalinyo nga ibaga iti daytoy a bantay, 'Manipud ditoy umakarka idiay,' ket umakarto daytoy ken awanto ti saanyo a kabaelan nga aramiden.
"Because your faith is so small," He replied; "for I solemnly declare to you that if you have faith like a mustard-seed, you shall say to this mountain, 'Remove from this place to that,' and it will remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you.
But an evil spirit of this kind is only driven out by prayer and fasting."

As they were travelling about in Galilee, Jesus said to them, "The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men;
23 Ken papatayendanto isuna, ket mapagungarto isuna iti maikatlo nga aldaw,” Nagliday iti kasta unay dagiti adalan.
they will put Him to death, but on the third day He will be raised to life again." And they were exceedingly distressed.
24 Idi dimtengda idiay Capernaum, immay kenni Pedro dagiti lallaki nga agsingsingir iti kagudua a siklo a buis ket kinunada, “Di kad agbaybayad ti maestroyo iti kagudua a siklo a buis?”
After their arrival at Capernaum the collectors of the half-shekel came and asked Peter, "Does not your Teacher pay the half-shekel?"
25 Kinunana, “Wen.” Ngem idi immuneg ni Pedro iti balay, immun-una a nagsao ni Jesus kenkuana ket kinunana, “Ania ti kapanunotam, Simon? Kadagiti ari iti lubong, asino ti pagtaudan ti awatenda a buis wenno bayad? Manipud kadagiti iturturayanda wenno manipud kadagiti gangannaet?”
"Yes," he replied, and then went into the house. But before he spoke a word Jesus said, "What think you, Simon? From whom do this world's kings receive customs or capitation tax? from their own children, or from others?"

"From others," he replied. "Then the children go free," said Jesus.
27 Ngem tapno saan a datayo ti gapuanan tapno agbasol dagiti agsingsingir iti buis, mapanka iti baybay, ipuruakmo ti banniit, ket alaem ti umuna a lames a mabanniitam. Inton ungapem ti ngiwatna, makasarakanto iti maysa a siklo. Alaem dayta ket itedmo iti agsingsingir iti buis a kas bayadta.”
"However, lest we cause them to sin, go and throw a hook into the Lake, and take the first fish that comes up. When you open its mouth, you will find a shekel in it: bring that coin and give it to them for yourself and me."
