< Marcos 8 >
1 Kadagidiay nga al-aldaw, adda manen adu a tattao a naummong, ket awan kanenda. Inayaban ni Jesus dagiti adalanna ket kinunana kadakuada,
In those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples, and saith to them,
2 “Maasi-ak kadagiti adu a tattao, gapu ta intultuloyda ti nakikadua kaniak iti tallon nga aldaw ket awan ti kanenda.
I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat:
3 No pagawidek ida kadagiti pagtaenganda a saanda a nangan, mabalin a matalimudawda iti dalan. Maysa pay, dadduma kadakuada ket naggapu iti adayo.”
And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for some of them came from a distance.
4 Simmungbat dagiti adalanna kenkuana, “Sadino ti pangalaantayo iti umanay a tinapay iti kastoy nga awan ti matagtagitaona a lugar tapno mapnek dagitoy a tattao?”
And his disciples answered him, From whence can a man satisfy these [men] with bread here in the wilderness?
5 Sinaludsodna kadakuada, “Mano a tinapay ti adda kadakayo? Kinunada, “Pito.”
And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.
6 Binilinna dagiti adu a tattao nga agtugawda iti daga. Innalana ti pito a tinapay, nagyaman ket pinisipisina dagitoy. Intedna dagitoy kadagiti adalan tapno idasarda. Ngarud, indasarda dagitoy kadagiti adu a tattao.
And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and broke, and gave to his disciples to set before [them]; and they set [them] before the people.
7 Addaanda met iti sumagmamano a babassit a lames, ket kalpasan a nagyamananna dagitoy iti Dios, binilinna dagiti adalan nga iwarasda met dagitoy.
And they had a few small fishes: and he blessed, and commanded to set them also before [them].
8 Nanganda ket napnekda. Ket iti panangurnongda kadagiti taraon a nabati manipud kadagiti napisipisi, napunno ti pito a labba.
So they ate, and were satisfied: and they took up of the fragments that were left, seven baskets.
9 Adda agarup uppat a ribu a tattao sadiay. Ket pinagawid ida ni Jesus.
And they that had eaten were about four thousand: and he dismissed them.
10 Dagus a naglugan isuna iti bangka kaduana dagiti adalanna, ket napanda idiay rehion ti Dalmanuta.
And forthwith he entered into a boat with his disciples, and came into the parts of Dalmanutha.
11 rimuar dagiti Pariseo ket inrugida ti makisinnupiat kenkuana. Kiniddawda kenkuana nga agipakita isuna iti nainlangitan a pagilasinan, kas panangsuotda kenkuana.
And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking from him a sign from heaven, tempting him.
12 Nagsennaay isuna iti nauneg iti espirituna ket kinunana, “Apay nga agbiruk daytoy a kaputotan iti pagilasinan? Pudno, ibagak kadakayo, awan ti pagilasinan a maited iti daytoy a kaputotan.”
And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek for a sign? Verily I say to you, There shall no sign be given to this generation.
13 Kalpasanna, pinanawanna ida, limmugan manen iti bangka, ket pimmanaw a napan iti ballasiw ti dan-aw.
And he left them, and entering into the boat again, departed to the other side.
14 Ita, nalipatan dagiti adalan ti mangitugot iti tinapay. Maymaysa laengen a pidaso ti tinapay ti adda iti bangka.
Now [the disciples] had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the boat with them more than one loaf.
15 Binallaaganna ida ket kinunana, “Agsiputkayo ken agannadkayo kadagiti lebadura dagiti Pariseo, ken iti lebadura ni Herodes.
And he charged them saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and [of] the leaven of Herod.
16 Kinunkunada iti maysa ken maysa, “Daytoy ket gapu ta awan ti naitugot tayo a tinapay.”
And they reasoned among themselves, saying, [It is] because we have no bread.
17 Ammo ni Jesus daytoy, ket kinunana kadakuada, “Apay nga agsisinnaludsodkayo maipanggep iti kinaawan ti tinapay? Saanyo kadi pay laeng a makita? Saanyo kadi a maawatan? Nangudel kadin dagiti pusoyo?
And when Jesus knew [it], he saith to them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened?
18 Addaankayo kadagiti mata, saanyo kadi a makita? Addaankayo kadagiti lapayag, saanyo kadi a mangngeg? Saanyo kadi a malagip?
Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?
19 Idi pinisipisik ti lima a tinapay kadagiti lima a ribu, mano a labba ti napunno iti napisipisi a pidaso ti tinapay ti naurnongyo?” Imbagada kenkuana, “Sangapulo ket dua.”
When I divided the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say to him, Twelve.
20 “Ken idi pinisipisik ti pito a tinapay kadagiti uppat a ribu, mano a napunno a labba ti naurnongyo? Kinunada kenkuana, “Pito.”
And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.
21 Kinunana, “Saanyo kadi pay a maawatan?”
And he said to them, How is it that ye do not understand?
22 Simmangpetda idiay Betsaida. Impan dagiti tattao sadiay kenkuana ti maysa a bulsek a lalaki ket nagpakaasi kenni Jesus a sagidenna isuna.
And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man to him, and besought him to touch him.
23 Iniggaman ni Jesus ti imana, ket indalanna a rumuar iti dayta a bario. Idi tinupraanna dagiti matana ken impatayna dagiti imana kenkuana, sinaludsodna kenkuana, “Adda kadi makitam?”
And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw aught.
24 Kimmita isuna iti ngato ket kinunana, “Adda makitak a lallaki ngem kaslada magmagna a kaykayo.”
And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees walking.
25 Kalpasanna, impatayna manen dagiti imana kadagiti matana, ket immulagat ti lalaki dagiti matana, simmayaat dagiti matana, ket nalawag a nakitana amin a banbanag.
After that, he put [his] hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.
26 Pinagawid ni Jesus isuna iti pagtaenganna ket kinunana, “Saanka a sumsumrek iti ili.”
And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell [it] to any in the town.
27 ni Jesus kadagiti barbario iti Cesaria Filipos kaduana dagiti adalanna. Iti dalan, sinaludsodna kadagiti adalanna, “Siasinoak kano iti panagkuna dagiti tattao?”
And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Cesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying to them, Who do men say that I am?
28 Simmungbatda kenkuana ket kinunada, “Sika kano ni Juan a Mammuniag. Kuna met dagiti dadduma a sika ni Elias, ken dadduma met ket maysaka kano kadagiti profeta.'
And they answered, John the Baptist: but some [say], Elijah; and others, One of the prophets,
29 Sinaludsodna kadakuada, “Ngem siasinoak iti panagkunayo?” Simmungbat ni Pedro a kinunana kenkuana, “Sika ti Cristo.”
And he saith to them, But who say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith to him, Thou art the Christ.
30 Binallaagan ida ni Jesus a saanda nga ibagbaga iti siasinoman ti maipanggep kenkuana.
And he charged them that they should tell no man of him.
31 Ket inrugina nga isuro kadakuada a ti Anak ti Tao ket masapul nga agsagaba kadagiti adu a banbanag, ket laksidento dagiti panglakayen ken dagiti panguloen a papadi ken dagiti eskriba, mapapatay, ken agbiagto kalpasan ti tallo nga aldaw.
And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, and the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
32 Imbagana daytoy a silalawag. Kalpasanna, inyadayo bassit ni Pedro isuna ket rinungianna a babalawen isuna.
And he spoke that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.
33 Ngem timmalikod ni Jesus ket kinitana dagiti adalanna ket kalpasanna, tinubngarna ni Pedro ket kinunana, “Panawannak Satanas! Saanmo nga ipatpateg dagiti banbanag ti Dios, ngem ketdi dagiti banbanag dagiti tattao.”
But when he had turned about, and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savorest not the things that are of God, but the things that are of men.
34 Kalpasanna, inummongna dagiti adu a tattao ken dagiti adalanna, ket kinunana kadakuada, “No adda man ti kayatna a sumurot kaniak, masapul nga ilibakna ti bagina, bagkatenna ti krusna, ket sumurot kaniak.
And when he had called the people [to him] with his disciples also, he said to them, Whoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
35 Ta siasinoman a kayatna a salbaren ti biagna ket mapukawnanto daytoy, ken siasinoman a makapukaw iti biagna gapu kaniak ken gapu iti ebanghelio ket maisalbarnanto daytoy.
For whoever will save his life, shall lose it; but whoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
36 Ania ti maganab ti tao, a manggun-odna iti entero a lubong, ket kalpasanna, mapukawna ti biagna?
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul:
37 Ania ti maited ti tao a kasukat iti biagna?
Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
38 Siasinoman a mangibain kaniak ken dagiti sasaok iti daytoy a mannakikamalala ken managbasol a henerasion, ibainto met isuna ti Anak ti Tao inton umay isuna iti dayag ti Amana a kaduana dagiti nasantoan nga anghelna.”
Whoever therefore shall be ashamed of me, and of my words, in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also will the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
