< Malakias 2 >

1 Ket ita, dakayo a papadi, daytoy a bilin ket para kadakayo.
“Now, you priests, this commandment is for you.
2 “No saanyo a denggen, ken no saanyo nga ipapuso ti mangitan-ok iti naganko,” kuna ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin amin, “iyegko ngarud ti didigra kadakayo, ken ilunodko dagiti bendesionyo. Kinapudnona, inlunodko dagitoyen, gapu ta saanyo nga impapuso ti bilinko.
If you will not listen, and if you will not take it to heart, to give glory to my name,” says the LORD of Armies, “then I will send the curse on you, and I will curse your blessings. Indeed, I have cursed them already, because you do not take it to heart.
3 Adtoy, tubngarek dagiti kaputotam, ket pulagidakto iti rugit dagiti rupayo, ti rugit kadagiti datonyo, ket maiyadayokayonto a kadua ti rugit.
Behold, I will rebuke your offspring, and will spread dung on your faces, even the dung of your feasts; and you will be taken away with it.
4 Ket maammoanyonto nga impakaammok daytoy a bilin kadakayo, nga agtalinaed koma ti katulagak kenni Levi,” kuna ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin amin.
You will know that I have sent this commandment to you, that my covenant may be with Levi,” says the LORD of Armies.
5 “Agpaay a biag ken talna ti katulagak kenkuana, ken impaayko dagitoy a banbanag kenkuana tapno idayawnak. Dinayawnak ken timmakder nga addaan panagbuteng iti naganko.
“My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him that he might be reverent toward me; and he was reverent toward me, and stood in awe of my name.
6 Adda iti ngiwatna ti pudno a panursuro, ken awan iti saan a nasayaat a rimmuar iti bibigna. Nakipagbiag isuna kaniak nga addaan kappia ken kinalinteg, ken inallukoyna dagiti tattao tapno agsardengdan nga agbasbasol.
The law of truth was in his mouth, and unrighteousness was not found in his lips. He walked with me in peace and uprightness, and turned many away from iniquity.
7 Ta dagiti bibig koma ti papadi ti rumbeng a mangsalimetmet iti pannakaammo, ken iti ngiwatna koma ti pakasarakan dagiti tattao iti panursuro, ta isuna iti mensaherok, kuna ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin amin.
For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth; for he is the messenger of the LORD of Armies.
8 Ngem simmiasikayo iti pudno a dalan. Intibkolyo ti kaaduan nga agraraem iti linteg. Dinadaelyo ti katulagan ni Levi,” kuna ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin amin.
But you have turned away from the path. You have caused many to stumble in the law. You have corrupted the covenant of Levi,” says the LORD of Armies.
9 “Iti kasukatna, pagbalinenkayo met a dakes ken karurod iti imatang dagiti amin a tattao, gapu ta saanyo a sinalimetmetan dagiti wagasko, ngem ketdi impakitayo ti panangidumayo iti panangisuroyo.”
“Therefore I have also made you contemptible and wicked before all the people, according to the way you have not kept my ways, but have had respect for persons in the law.
10 Saan kadi nga addaantayo amin iti maymaysa nga ama? Saan kadi a maymaysa ti Dios a namarsua kadatayo? Apay nga aglilinnipottayo, tunggal maysa maibusor iti kabsatna, tultulawantayo ti katulagan ti amatayo?
Do not we all have one father? Has not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, profaning the covenant of our fathers?
11 Mananglilipot ti Juda, ken nakaal-alliaw a banag ti naaramid idiay Israel ken idiay Jerusalem. Ta tinulawan ti Juda ti nasantoan a lugar ni Yahweh nga impatpategna, ken inasawana ti babai nga anak ti ganggannaet nga agdaydayaw kadagiti didiosen.
Judah has dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah has profaned the holiness of the LORD which he loves, and has married the daughter of a foreign god.
12 Pukawen koma ni Yahweh ti siasinoman a kaputotan ti tao nga agar-aramid iti daytoy manipud kadagiti tolda ni Jacob, uray maysa a mangiy-iyyeg iti daton kenni Yahweh a Mannakabalin amin.
The LORD will cut off the man who does this, him who wakes and him who answers, out of the tents of Jacob and him who offers an offering to the LORD of Armies.
13 Ken ar-aramidenyo pay daytoy. Laplapunusenyo ti altar ni Yahweh kadagiti lulua, agsangsangit ken agsinsinnaay, agsipud ta saannan a pulos a taliawen ti daton ken saannan nga awaten daytoy nga addaan iti pabor manipud kadagiti imayo.
“This again you do: you cover the LORD’s altar with tears, with weeping, and with sighing, because he does not regard the offering any more, neither receives it with good will at your hand.
14 Ngem ibagbagayo, “Apay a saanna a taliawen?” Gapu ta ni Yahweh ti nakaimatang kenka ken ti asawa ti kinaagtutubom, ket saanka a nagbalin a napudno kenkuana, uray no kataktakunaynaymo isuna ken asawam sigun iti katulagan.
Yet you say, ‘Why?’ Because the LORD has been witness between you and the wife of your youth, against whom you have dealt treacherously, though she is your companion and the wife of your covenant.
15 Saan kadi a pinagmaymaysanakayo babaen iti espirituna? Ken apay a pinagmaymaysanakayo? Gapu ta namnamaenna iti maaddaan ti nadiosan nga annak. Isu a bantayanyo ti bagbagiyo iti espirituyo, ken awan koma ti siasinoman a manglipot iti asawana iti kinaagtutubona.
Did he not make you one, although he had the residue of the Spirit? Why one? He sought godly offspring. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let no one deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.
16 “Ta kagurak ti panagsina ti agassawa,” kuna ni Yahweh a Dios ti Israel, “ken ti tao a taktakupanna ti kawesna iti kinaranggas,” kuna ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin amin. “Isu a bantayanyo ti bagbagiyo iti espirituyo ken agbalinkayo a napudno.”
One who hates and divorces”, says the LORD, the God of Israel, “covers his garment with violence!” says the LORD of Armies. “Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you do not be unfaithful.
17 Binannogyo ni Yahweh kadagiti sasaoyo. Ngem ibagbagayo, “Kasano koma a binannogmi isuna?” Babaen iti panangibagbagayo iti, “Nasayaat iti imatang ni Yahweh ti siasinoman nga agar-aramid iti dakes, ken maay-ayo isuna kadakuada;” wenno “Sadino ti ayan ti Dios iti hustisia?”
You have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet you say, ‘How have we wearied him?’ In that you say, ‘Everyone who does evil is good in the LORD’s sight, and he delights in them;’ or ‘Where is the God of justice?’
