1 Ti pannakaipablaak ti sao ni Yahweh para iti Israel babaen kenni Malakias.
A revelation, the LORD’s word to Israel by Malachi.
2 “Inayatkayo,” kuna ni Yahweh. Ngem kunayo, “Kasanonakami nga inayat?” “Saan kadi a kabsat ni Jacob ni Esau?” kuna ni Yahweh.
“I have loved you,” says the LORD. Yet you say, “How have you loved us?” “Wasn’t Esau Jacob’s brother?” says the LORD, “Yet I loved Jacob;
3 “Ngem inayatko ni Jacob, idinto a ginurak ni Esau. Pinagbalinko a langalang dagiti bantayna, ket pinagbalinko ti tawidna a lugar dagiti atap nga aso ti let-ang.”
but Esau I hated, and made his mountains a desolation, and gave his heritage to the jackals of the wilderness.”
4 No kuna ti Edom, “Naabaktayo, ngem agsublitayo ket bangonentayo dagiti nadadael;” Kuna ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin amin, “Ibangondanto, ngem duprakekto; ket panagananto ida dagiti lallaki a 'Ti pagilian iti kinadangkes; ken 'Dagiti tattao a kaunget ni Yahweh iti agnanayon.''
Whereas Edom says, “We are beaten down, but we will return and build the waste places,” the LORD of Hosts says, “They shall build, but I will throw down; and men will call them ‘The Wicked Land,’ even the people against whom the LORD shows wrath forever.”
5 Maimatanganto daytoy dagiti mismo a matayo, ket kunaenyonto, “Naindaklan ni Yahweh iti labes dagiti beddeng ti Israel.”
Your eyes will see, and you will say, “The LORD is great—even beyond the border of Israel!”
6 Raemen ti anak ti amana, ken raemen ti adipen ti amona. Ngarud, no maysaak nga ama, ayanna ti dayawko? Ken no maysaak nga amo, ayanna ti panagraem nga agpaay kaniak. Kasasaonakayo ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin amin, dakayo a papadi, a nangum-umsi iti naganko. Ngem kunaenyo, 'Kasanomi koma nga inumsi ti naganmo?'
“A son honours his father, and a servant his master. If I am a father, then where is my honour? And if I am a master, where is the respect due me?” says the LORD of Hosts to you priests who despise my name. “You say, ‘How have we despised your name?’
7 Babaen iti panangidatonyo iti narugit a tinapay iti rabaw ti altarko. Ket kunaenyo, 'Kasano koma a rinugitandaka?' Iti panangibagayo iti dayta nalabit a naumsi ti lamisaan ni Yahweh.
You offer polluted bread on my altar. You say, ‘How have we polluted you?’ In that you say, ‘The LORD’s table is contemptible.’
8 No mangisagutkayo kadagiti bulsek nga ayup a maidaton, saan kadi a dakes dayta? Ken no mangidatonkayo iti pilay ken masakit, saan kadi a dakes dayta? Isagutyo dayta iti gobernadoryo; awatennakayo ngata wenno pakitaannakayo ngata iti pabor?” kuna ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin amin.
When you offer the blind for sacrifice, isn’t that evil? And when you offer the lame and sick, isn’t that evil? Present it now to your governor! Will he be pleased with you? Or will he accept your person?” says the LORD of Hosts.
9 Ket ita, agkiddawkayo iti pabor ti Dios, tapno paraburannatayokoma. “Babaen iti bukbukodyo a daton, awatenna ngata a siaayat ti siasinoman kadakayo?” kuna ni Yahweh a mannakabalin amin.
“Now, please entreat the favour of God, that he may be gracious to us. With this, will he accept any of you?” says the LORD of Hosts.
10 “O, no adda la koma maysa kadakayo a mabalin a mangrikep kadagiti ruangan ti templo, tapno saan koma a masayang ti panangarunyo iti rabaw ti altarko! Saanak a maay-ayo kadakayo,” kuna ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin amin, “ken saankonto nga awaten ti aniaman a daton manipud kadakayo.
“Oh that there were one amongst you who would shut the doors, that you might not kindle fire on my altar in vain! I have no pleasure in you,” says the LORD of Hosts, “neither will I accept an offering at your hand.
11 Ta manipud iti panagsingising ti init agingga a lumnek daytoy, maitan-okto ti naganko kadagiti nasion; iti tunggal disso, maidatonto dagiti insenso iti naganko, kasta met ti nadalus a daton. Ta agbalinto a naindaklan ti naganko kadagiti nasion,” kuna ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin amin.
For from the rising of the sun even to its going down, my name is great amongst the nations, and in every place incense will be offered to my name, and a pure offering; for my name is great amongst the nations,” says the LORD of Hosts.
12 Ngem saanyo a raraemen daytoy no ibagayo a narugitan ti lamisaan ti Apo, dagiti bunga ken taraon daytoy ket maumsi.
“But you profane it when you say, ‘The LORD’s table is polluted, and its fruit, even its food, is contemptible.’
13 Ibagbagayo pay, 'Makabannog unay daytoyen,' ken siuumsiyo nga ibang-es daytoy,” kuna ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin amin. “Inyegyo ti nakimmeg dagiti atap nga ayup wenno pilay wenno masakit; ket inyegyo daytoy a kas datonyo! Rumbeng kadi nga awatek daytoy manipud kadakayo?” kuna ni Yahweh.
You say also, ‘Behold, what a weariness it is!’ And you have sniffed at it”, says the LORD of Hosts; “and you have brought that which was taken by violence, the lame, and the sick; thus you bring the offering. Should I accept this at your hand?” says the LORD.
14 “Mailunod koma dagiti manangallilaw nga addaan iti kalakian nga ayup iti arbanna ken agsapsapata nga itedna daytoy kaniak, ngem nangidaton kaniak, nga Apo, iti adda pakapilawanna; ta Siak ti naindaklan nga Ari,” kuna ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin amin, “ken pagbutbutngan ti naganko kadagiti nasion.”
“But the deceiver is cursed who has in his flock a male, and vows and sacrifices to the Lord a defective thing; for I am a great King,” says the LORD of Hosts, “and my name is awesome amongst the nations.”
