Lucas 3
1 Ita iti maikasangapulo ket lima a tawen a panagturay ni Tiberios Cesar, kabayatan a ni Poncio Pilato ti gobernador iti Judea, ni Herodes ket tetraka iti Galilea, ket ni Felipe a kabsatna ti tetraka iti rehion ti Iturea ken Traconite, ket ni Lisanias iti tetraka iti Abilene,
NOW in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Cæsar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judæa, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituræa and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene,
2 ken idi panawen da Annas ken Caipas a kas kangatoan a padi, immay ti sao ti Dios kenni Juan nga anak a lalaki ni Zacarias, idiay let-ang.
Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.
3 Nagdalyasat ni Juan iti amin a rehion iti aglawlaw ti Karayan Jordan, nga nangikaskasaba iti bautisar iti panagbabawi para iti pannakapakawan dagiti basbasol.
And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;
4 Kas naisurat iti libro dagiti sao ni Isaias a propeta, “Ti timek iti maysa nga umaw-awag idiay let-ang, 'Isagana iti dalan ti Apo, Aramiden a diretso dagiti pagnaanna.
As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
5 Tunggal nababa nga disso ket mapunno, tunggal bantay ken turod ket mapatag, dagiti killo a kalsada ket mapalinteg, ken dagiti lasonglasong ket matarimaan.
Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth;
6 Makitanto amin nga tattao iti panangisalakan ti Dios.'”
And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.
7 Iti kasta kinuna ngarud ni Juan kadagiti adu unay a tattao nga umay agpabautisar kenkuana, “Dakayo nga kaputotan ti nagita nga ul-uleg, siasino iti nangballaag kadakayo nga lisianyo ti umayto nga pungtot?
Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8 Mangpataud kayo iti bunga a maikari iti panagbabawi, ken saanyo nga irugi a kunaen iti bagbagiyo, 'Adda ni Abraham nga amami,' ta ibagak kadakayo nga kabaelan ti Dios iti mangibangon iti annak ni Abraham uray pay kadagitoy a batbato.
Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
9 Naikabilen ti wasay iti ramut dagiti kaykayo. Isu nga tunggal kayo nga saan nga agbunga iti nasayaat nga bunga ket mapukan ken maibelleng iti apoy.”
And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
10 Ket nagsaludsod kenkuana dagiti tattao iti kaadduan, a kunkunada, “Ania ngarud ti rumbeng nga aramidenmi?”
And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?
11 Simmungbat ket kinunana kadakuada, “No ti maysa a tao ket addaan iti dua a tunikas, rumbeng nga itedna ti maysa kadagitoy iti awanan, ken siasinoman nga addaan iti taraon ket rumbeng nga aramidenna met iti kasta.”
He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.
12 Kalpasanna immay met dagiti dadduma nga agsingsingir iti buis tapno agpabautisar, ket kinunada kenkuana, “Manursuro, ania ti rumbeng nga aramidenmi?”
Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do?
13 Kinunana kadakuada, “Saankayo nga agsingir iti kuarta a nasursurok ngem iti singirenyo koma.”
And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you.
14 Nagsaludsod met dagiti dadduma nga suldado kenkuana, a kunada, “Ket dakami ngay met? Ania ti rumbeng nga aramidenmi?” Kinunana kadakuada, “Saankayo nga mangala iti kuarta iti siasinoman babaen iti panangpilit, ken saankayo nga agpabasol iti siasinoman iti kinaulbod. Mapnek kayo iti tangdanyo.”
And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.
15 Ita ta ur-ururayen a sigagagar dagiti tattao ti Kristo nga umay, panpanunoten ti tunggal maysa kadagiti puspusoda ti maipapan ken ni Juan no isu ngata ti Kristo.
And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not;
16 Simmungbat ni Juan babaen iti panagsaona kadakuada amin, “Nu siak nga maysa, bautisaran kayo iti danum, ngem adda ti umay nga ad-adda pay a manakabalin ngem siak, ket saanak nga maikari uray mangwarwar laeng iti galut ti sandaliasna. Bautisarannakayonto iti Espiritu Santo ken iti apuy.
John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
17 Ti salungkayna ket adda iti imana tapno waknitanna nga nalaing ti pagirikanna ket urnongenna ti trigo iti kamaligna. Ngem puuranna ti taep iti apoy a saan nga pulos a maeddep.”
Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.
18 Ket mairaman kadagiti adu pay a dadduma nga pammagbaga, inkaskasabana ti naimbag a damag kadagiti tattao.
And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people.
19 Binabalaw met ni Juan ni Herodes a tetraka ta inasawana ti asawa ni kabsatna, isu ni Herodias, ken amin a sabali pay a dakes nga banbanag nga inaramid ni Herodes.
But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias his brother Philip’s wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done,
20 Ngem ketdi nangaramid ni Herodes iti maysa pay nga dakes unay a banag. Impaipupokna ni Juan iti pagbaludan.
Added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison.
21 Ita iti napasamak, kabayatan a baubautisaran ni Juan dagiti amin nga tattao, ket nabautisaran met ni Hesus. Kabayatan nga agkarkarag isuna, nalukatan ti langlangit.
Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,
22 Bimmaba kenkuana iti Espiritu Santo a kasla kalapati iti langana, kabayatanna adda timek a naggapu iti langit, “Sika ti dungdunguek nga Anak. Maayayoak unay kenka.”
And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
23 Ita ni Hesus met laeng, idi mangrugi nga mangisuro, agarup tallo pulo ti tawenna. Isuna ket anak a lalaki (a kas pagarupenda) ni Jose, nga anak a lalaki ni Heli,
And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,
24 nga anak a lalaki ni Mattat, nga anak a lalaki ni Levi, nga anak a lalaki ni Melki, nga anak a lalaki ni Jannai, nga anak a lalaki ni Jose,
Which was the son of Matthat, which was the son of Levi, which was the son of Melchi, which was the son of Janna, which was the son of Joseph,
25 nga anak a lalaki ni Matatias, nga anak a lalaki ni Amos, nga anak a lalaki ni Nahum, nga anak a lalaki ni Esli, nga anak a lalaki ni Naggai,
Which was the son of Mattathias, which was the son of Amos, which was the son of Naum, which was the son of Esli, which was the son of Nagge,
26 nga anak a lalaki ni Maat, nga anak a lalaki ni Mattatias, nga anak a lalaki ni Semein, nga anak a lalaki ni Josek, nga anak a lalaki ni Joda,
Which was the son of Maath, which was the son of Mattathias, which was the son of Semei, which was the son of Joseph, which was the son of Juda,
27 nga anak a lalaki ni Joanan, nga anak a lalaki ni Resa, nga anak a lalaki ni Zerubbabel, nga anak a lalaki ni Sealtiel, nga anak a lalaki ni Neri,
Which was the son of Joanna, which was the son of Rhesa, which was the son of Zorobabel, which was the son of Salathiel, which was the son of Neri,
28 nga anak a lalaki ni Melki, nga anak a lalaki ni Addi, nga anak a lalaki ni Cosam, nga anak a lalaki ni Elmadam, nga anak a lalaki ni Er,
Which was the son of Melchi, which was the son of Addi, which was the son of Cosam, which was the son of Elmodam, which was the son of Er,
29 nga anak a lalaki ni Josue, nga anak a lalaki ni Eliasar, nga anak a lalaki ni Jorim, nga anak a lalaki ni Mattat, nga anak a lalaki ni Levi,
Which was the son of Jose, which was the son of Eliezer, which was the son of Jorim, which was the son of Matthat, which was the son of Levi,
30 nga anak a lalaki ni Simeon, nga anak a lalaki ni Juda, nga anak a lalaki ni Jose, nga anak a lalaki ni Jonam, nga anak a lalaki ni Eliakim,
Which was the son of Simeon, which was the son of Juda, which was the son of Joseph, which was the son of Jonan, which was the son of Eliakim,
31 nga anak a lalaki ni Melia, nga anak a lalaki ni Menna, nga anak a lalaki ni Matatta, nga anak a lalaki ni Natan, nga anak a lalaki ni David,
Which was the son of Melea, which was the son of Menan, which was the son of Mattatha, which was the son of Nathan, which was the son of David,
32 nga anak a lalaki ni Jesse, nga anak a lalaki ni Obed, nga anak a lalaki ni Boaz, nga anak a lalaki ni Salmon, nga anak a lalaki ni Nason,
Which was the son of Jesse, which was the son of Obed, which was the son of Booz, which was the son of Salmon, which was the son of Naasson,
33 anak a lalaki ni Aminadab, anak a lalaki ni Admin, anak a lalaki ni Arni, anak a lalaki ni Hesron, anak a lalaki ni Peres, anak a lalaki ni Juda,
Which was the son of Aminadab, which was the son of Aram, which was the son of Esrom, which was the son of Phares, which was the son of Juda,
34 anak a lalaki ni Jacob, anak a lalaki ni Isaac, anak a lalaki ni Abraham, anak a lalaki ni Terah, anak a lalaki ni Nahor,
Which was the son of Jacob, which was the son of Isaac, which was the son of Abraham, which was the son of Thara, which was the son of Nachor,
35 anak a lalaki ni Serug, anak a lalaki ni Reu, anak a lalaki Peleg, anak a lalaki ni Eber, anak a lalaki ni Shela,
Which was the son of Saruch, which was the son of Ragau, which was the son of Phalec, which was the son of Heber, which was the son of Sala,
36 nga anak a lalaki ni Cainan, nga anak a lalaki ni Arfaxad, nga anak a lalaki ni Shem, nga anak a lalaki ni Noe, nga anak a lalaki ni Lamek,
Which was the son of Cainan, which was the son of Arphaxad, which was the son of Sem, which was the son of Noe, which was the son of Lamech,
37 nga anak a lalaki ni Metusela, nga anak a lalaki ni Enoc, nga anak a lalaki ni Jared, nga anak a lalaki ni Mahalalel, nga anak a lalaki ni Cainan,
Which was the son of Mathusala, which was the son of Enoch, which was the son of Jared, which was the son of Maleleel, which was the son of Cainan,
38 nga anak a lalaki ni Enos, nga anak a lalaki ni Set, nga anak a lalaki ni Adan, nga anak a lalaki ti Dios.
Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.
