< Lucas 22 >
1 Ita umadanin ti Fiesta iti Tinapay nga awan Lebadurana a maawagan ti Ilalabas.
The feast of the unleavened bread, known as the Passover, was near.
2 Nagnunumoan dagiti panguloen ti papadi ken dagiti eskriba no kasanoda nga ipapatay ni Hesus, gapu ta agamakda kadagiti tattao.
The chief priest and the teachers of the Law were looking for an opportunity of destroying Jesus, for they were afraid of the people.
3 Simrek ni Satanas ken ni Judas Iskariote, maysa kadagiti sangapulo ket dua.
Now Satan took possession of Judas, who was known as Iscariot, and who belonged to the Twelve;
4 Ni Judas ket napan nakisarita kadagiti panguloen ti papadi ken kadagiti kapitan no kasanona nga iyawat ni Hesus kadakuada.
and he went and discussed with the chief priests and officers in charge at the Temple the best way of betraying Jesus to them.
5 Naragsakanda amin ken nagnunumoanda a bayadanda isuna iti kuarta.
They were glad of this, and agreed to pay him.
6 Immannugot isuna ket nangbirok iti gundaway tapno iyawatna kadakuada ni Hesus manipud kadagiti adu nga tattao.
So Judas assented, and looked for an opportunity to betray Jesus to them, in the absence of a crowd.
7 Nadanon ti aldaw ti tinapay nga awan lebadurana, nga isu iti panangidaton ti kordero para iti Ilalabas.
When the day of the Festival of the unleavened bread came, on which the Passover lambs had to be killed,
8 Imbaon ngarud ni Hesus da Pedro ken Juan, a kinunana, “Inkayo ket isaganayo ti makan a maipaay ti Ilalabas, tapno mangantayo.”
Jesus sent forward Peter and John, saying to them, “Go and make preparations for our eating the Passover.”
9 Sinaludsodda isuna, “Sadino ti kayatmo nga pangisaganaanmi?”
“Where do you wish us to make preparations?” they asked.
10 Simmungbat isuna kadakuada, “Dumngegkayo, no nakastrekkayon iti siudad, adda maysa nga lalaki a nakabaklay iti burnay ti danum nga sumabat kadakayo. Surutenyo isuna agingga iti balay nga papananna.
“Listen,” he answered, “when you have reached the city, a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you; follow him into whatever house he enters;
11 Ket ibagayo iti makinbalay, 'Kuna iti Maestro kenka, “Sadino ti siled a pangsangailian, a panganak ti Ilalabas a kaduak dagiti adalak?”
and you will say to the owner of the house ‘The teacher says to you – Where is the room where I am to eat the Passover with my disciples?’
12 Ipakitananto kadakayo ti nalawa ken nakasagana a ngatoen nga siled. Sadiay ngarud iti pangidasaranyo.”
The man will show you a large upstairs room, set out; there make preparations.”
13 Napanda ngarud, ket nasarakanda amin a kas iti inbagana kadakuada. Ket insaganada ti pannangan iti Ilalabas.
So Peter and John went on, and found everything just as Jesus had told them, and they prepared the Passover.
14 Idi nadanon iti tiempo, nakitugaw kadagiti adalan.
When the time came, Jesus took his place at the table, and the apostles with him.
15 Ket kinunana kadakuada, “Tarigagayak nga makipangan kadakayo iti daytoy nga Fiesta ti Ilalabas sakbay nga agsagabaak.
“I have most earnestly wished,” he said, “to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.
16 Ta ibagak kadakayo, saanakto a makipangan manen iti daytoy aginggana nga matungpal ti pagarian ti Dios.”
For I tell you that I will not eat it again, until it has had its fulfillment in the kingdom of God.”
17 Nangala ngarud ni Hesus iti kopa, ken nagyaman, a kinunana, “Alaenyo daytoy, ken ibingayyo iti tumunggal maysa kadakayo.
Then, on receiving a cup, after saying the thanksgiving, he said, “Take this and share it among you.
18 Ta ibagak kadakayo, saanakto nga uminom manen iti bunga ti ubas, aginggana nga umay ti pagarian ti Dios.”
For I tell you that I will not, after today, drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God has come.”
19 Ket nangala ti tinapay, kalpasan nga nagyaman, pinisi-pisina, ken inyawatna kadakuada, a kunana, “Daytoy ti bagik nga maipaay kadakayo. Aramidenyo daytoy a pananglaglagip kaniak.”
Then Jesus took some bread, and, after saying the thanksgiving, broke it and gave to them, with the words, “This is my body.
20 Nangala ti kopa kalpasan a nangrabii, a kinunana, “Daytoy nga kopa ti baro a tulag iti darak, nga isu a naibukbok a maipaay kadakayo.
21 Ngem dumngegkayo. Ti mangliput kaniak ket adda ita a kaduak ditoy lamisaan.
Yet see! The hand of the man who is betraying me is beside me on the table!
22 Ta ti Anak ti Tao ket pudno nga agturong iti nakaitudinganna. Ngem asi pay dayta nga tao a mangliput kenkuana!”
True, the Son of Man is passing, by the way ordained for him, yet alas for that man by whom he is being betrayed!”
23 Ket rinugiananda ti nagsisinnaludsod iti tungal maysa no siasino kadakuada ti mangaramid iti daytoy a banag?”
Then they began questioning one another which of them it could be who was going to do this.
24 Ket adda rimsua a panagsusupiat kadakuada no siasino ti maibilang a katan-okan.
And a dispute arose among them as to which of them was to be regarded as the greatest.
25 Kinunana kadakuada, “Dagiti Ar-ari ti Hentil ket addaan turay kadakuada, ket ti siasinoman nga addaan panagturay kadakuada isu ti maawagan a madaydayaw.
Jesus, however, said, “The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their oppressors are styled ‘Benefactors.’
26 Ngem saan a rumbeng nga maaramid daytoy kadakayo. Ngem ketdi, maaramid nga ti katatan-okan kadakayo agbalin nga isu ti kaubingan. Kasta met nga no siasinoman ti kangrunaan agbalin nga kapada ti agserserbi.
But with you it must not be so. No, let the greatest among you become like the youngest, and him who leads like him who serves.
27 Siasino kadi iti natan-ok, diay kadi nakatugaw iti lamisaan, wenno diay agidasdasar? Saan kadi nga isu diay nakatugaw iti lamisaan? Ngem addaak kadakayo a kas maysa nga agserserbi.
Which is the greater – the master at the table or his servant? Is not it the master at the table? Yet I myself am among you as one who serves.
28 Ngem nagtalinaedkayo a kaduak iti amin a pannakasuotko.
You are the men who have stood by me in my trials;
29 Ikkankayo iti pagarian a kas inted ni Amak nga pagarian kaniak,
and, just as my Father has assigned me a kingdom, I assign you places,
30 tapno mangan ken uminumkayo iti lamisaan idiay pagariak. Ket agtugawkayo kadagiti trono nga ukomenyo dagiti sangapulo ket dua a tribo ti Israel.
so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and be seated on twelve thrones as judges of the twelve tribes of Israel.
31 Simon, Simon, agannadka, dinawatnaka ni Satanas, tapno taepannakayo a kas trigo.
Simon! Simon! listen. Satan demanded leave to sift you all like wheat,
32 Ngem inkararagankayo, nga ti pammatiyo ket saan nga agkapoy. Ket inton agsublika manen, papigsaem dagiti kakabsatmo.”
but I prayed for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. And you, when you have returned to me, are to strengthen the others.”
33 Kinuna ni Pedro kenkuana, “Apo, nakasaganaak nga sumurot kenka sadiay pagbaludan wenno iti patay.”
“Master,” said Peter, “with you I am ready to go both to prison and to death.”
34 Simmungbat ni Hesus, “Ibagak kenka, Pedro, saanto pay nga nagtaraok ti kawitan itatta nga aldaw, sakbay nga ilibaknak iti tallo a daras nga am-ammonak.”
“I tell you, Peter,” replied Jesus, “the cock will not crow today until you have disowned all knowledge of me three times.”
35 Kalpasanna kinuna ni Hesus kadakuada, “Idi inbaonkayo nga awanan pitaka, supot ti pagkasapulan, wenno sapatos, nagkasapulankayo kadi?” Ket simmungbatda, “Awan.”
Then he said to them all, “When I sent you out as my messengers, without either purse, or bag, or sandals, were you in need of anything?” “No; nothing,” they answered.
36 Ngarud kinunana kadakuada, “Ngem itatta, ti addaan pitaka, alaenna latta, agraman ti supot ti pagkasapulan. Siasinoman nga awanan kampilan ket ilakona ti kagayna ket gumatang iti maysa.
“Now, however,” he said, “he who has a purse must take it and his bag as well; and he who has not must sell his cloak and buy a sword.
37 Ta ibagak kadakayo, no ania man ti naisurat maipanggep kaniak ket masapol nga matungpal, 'Ket naibilang isuna a kas maysa nga awanan linteg.' Ta aniaman ti naipadto maipanggep kaniak ket isu iti matungpal.”
For, I tell you, that passage of scripture must be fulfilled in me, which says – ‘He was counted among the godless’; indeed all that refers to me is finding its fulfillment.”
38 Ket kinunada, “Apo, kitaem! Adtoy ti dua a kampilan.” Simmungbat ni Hesus kadakuada, “Umanayen.”
“Master,” they exclaimed, “look, here are two swords!” “Enough!” said Jesus.
39 Kalpasan ti panangrabii, napan ni Hesus, a kas gagangay nga ar-aramidenna, idiay Bantay ti Olibo, ket simmurot dagiti adalanna.
Jesus then went out, and made his way as usual to the Mount of Olives, followed by his disciples.
40 Idi nakadanonda, kinunana kadakuada, “Agkararagkayo nga dikay sumrek iti pannakasuot.”
And, when he reached the spot, he said to them, “Pray that you may not fall into temptation.”
41 Immadayo isuna manipud kadakuada iti saan unay nga adayo, ket nagparintumeng ket nagkararag,
Then he withdrew about a stone’s throw, and knelt down and began to pray.
42 a kinunana, “Ama, no pagayatam, ikkatem daytoy nga kopa manipud kaniak. Numanpay kasta saan nga iti pagayatak, no di ket ti pagayatam ti mapasamak.”
“Father,” he said, “if it is your pleasure, spare me this cup; only, not my will but your be done.”
43 Ket nagparang ti maysa nga anghel a naggapu sadi langit, a nangpapigsa kenkuana.
Presently there appeared to him an angel from heaven, who strengthened him.
44 Kabayatan nga agsagsagaba, sipipinget a nagkararag isuna, ket ti ling-etna kasla dara a nagtedted iti daga.
And, as his anguish became intense, he prayed still more earnestly, while his sweat was like great drops of blood falling on the ground.
45 Idi timmakder isuna manipud iti panagkararagna, napan kadagiti adalan, ket nasarakanna ida nga matmaturog gapu iti ladingitda,
Then he rose from praying, and came to the disciples and found them sleeping for sorrow.
46 ket nagsaludsod kadakuada, “Apay a matmaturogkayo? Bumangonkayo ken agkararagkayo nga saan kayo nga sumrek iti pannakasuot.”
“Why are you asleep?” he asked them. “Rise and pray so that you don’t fall into temptation.”
47 Idi madama nga agsasao pay laeng, adtoy, nagparang ti adu nga tattao, kaduada ni Hudas, maysa kadagiti sangapulo ket dua, nga isu ti nangidaulo kadakuada. Immasideg ken ni Hesus tapno agkanna,
While he was still speaking, a crowd appeared in sight, led by the man called Judas, who was one of the Twelve. Judas approached Jesus, to kiss him;
48 ngem kinuna ni Hesus kenkuana, “Judas, lipliputam kadi ti Anak ti Tao babaen iti agek?”
at which Jesus said to him, “Judas, is it by a kiss that you betray the Son of Man?”
49 Idi nakita dagiti adda iti aglawlaw ni Hesus no ania ti mapaspasamak, kinunada, “Apo, tagbatenmi kadi isuda iti kampilan?”
But when those who were around Jesus saw what was going to happen, they exclaimed, “Master, should we use our swords?”
50 Ket tinagbat ti maysa kadakuada ti adipen ti panguloen dagiti papadi, ken piningasanna ti makannawan nga lapayagna.
And one of them struck the high priest’s servant and cut off his right ear;
51 Kinuna ni Hesus, “Husto daytan.” Ket sinagidna ti lapayag diay adipen, ket pinaimbagna.
at which Jesus said, “Let me at least do this”; and, touching his ear, he healed the wound.
52 Kinuna ni Hesus iti panguloen dagiti papadi, agraman kadagiti kapitan ti templo, ken panglakayen, nga immay bumusor kenkuana, “Umaykayo kadi, a kas maibusor iti agtatakaw, nga adaan ti kampilan ken pang-or?
Then, turning to the chief priests and officers in charge at the Temple and the elders, who had come for him, he said, “Have you come out, as if after a robber, with swords and clubs?
53 Idi addaak kadakayo iti inaldaw idiay templo, saanyo nga impatay dagiti imayo kaniak. Ngem daytoy ti orasyo, ken iti panagturay ti sipnget.”
When I was with you day after day in the Temple Courts, you did not lay hands on me; but now your time has come, and the power of darkness.”
54 Tiniliwda ni Hesus, ket inyadayoda isuna, ket impanda iti balay ti panguloen iti papadi. Ngem simmursurot ni Pedro iti saan unay nga adayo.
Those who had taken Jesus prisoner took him away into the house of the high priest. Peter followed at a distance.
55 Kalpasan nga nagaronda iti tengnga iti paraangan ket nagtugawda nga sangsangkamaysa, nakitugaw met ni Pedro iti nagtetengngaanda.
But, when they had lit a fire in the centre of the courtyard and had all sat down there, Peter seated himself in the middle of them.
56 Maysa nga adipen a babai ti nakakita kenkuana a nakatugaw iti masilsilawan iti apoy, ket minatmatanna a kinunana, “Daytoy nga tao ket kaduana met laeng.”
Presently a maidservant saw him sitting near the blaze of the fire. She looked carefully at him and said, “Why, this man was one of his companions!”
57 Ngem inlibak ni Pedro daytoy, a kinunana, Babai, saanko nga am-ammo isuna.”
But Peter denied it. “I do not know him,” he replied.
58 Kalpasan ti sumagmamano a kanito adda ti sabali a nakakita kenkuana, ket kinunana, “Maysaka met kadakuada.” Ngem kinuna ni Pedro, “Lalaki, saan a siak.”
A little while afterward someone else – a man – saw him and said, “Why, you are one of them!” “No,” Peter said, “I am not.”
59 Kalpasan ti agarup maysa oras inpapilit ti maysa pay a lalaki a kinunana, “Pudno a daytoy nga tao ket kaduana met laeng, gapu ta isu ket taga Galilea.”
About an hour later another man declared positively, “This man also was certainly with him. Why, he is a Galilean!”
60 Ngem kinuna ni Pedro, “Lalaki, saan ko nga ammo dayta ibagbagam.” Ket dagus, kabayatan nga agsasao pay laeng isuna, nagtaraok ti kawitan.
But Peter said, “I do not know what you are speaking about.” Instantly, while he was still speaking, a cock crowed.
61 Timmalyaw ti Apo ket kimmita ken ni Pedro. Ket nalagip ni Pedro ti sao ti Apo, idi a kinunana. “Sakbay nga agtaraok ti kawitan ita nga aldaw ket ilibaknakto iti mamitlo nga daras.
And the Master turned and looked at Peter; and Peter remembered the words that the Master had said to him – “Before a cock has crowed today, you will disown me three times”;
62 Rimmuar ni Pedro ket nagsangit ti nasaem.
and he went outside and wept bitterly.
63 Ket linalais ken dinangran dagiti lallaki nga agbanbantay ni Hesus.
The men who held Jesus kept making sport of him and beating him.
64 Kalpasan nga inabbunganda ti matana, sinaludsodda isuna, a kinunada, “Pugtuam! Siasino ti nangdangran kenka?”
They blindfolded him and then questioned him. “Now play the prophet,” they said. “Who was it that struck you?”
65 Nagsaritada iti adu nga banbanag a maibusor ken ni Hesus, ken tinabtabbaawanda.
And they heaped many other insults on him.
66 Idi bumigbigaten, naguummong dagiti panglakayen ti umili, karaman dagiti panguloen a papadi ken dagiti eskriba. Impanda ni Hesus iti Pangukuman,
At daybreak the assembly of the elders of the people met – both the chief priests and the teachers of the Law – and took Jesus before their High Council.
67 a kinunkunada, “No sika ti Kristo, ibagam kadakami.” Ngem kinunana kadakuada, No ibagak kadakayo, saanyo met a patien,
“If you are the Christ,” they said, “tell us so.” “If I tell you,” replied Jesus, “you will not believe me;
68 ket no salodsudenkayo, saankayo met a sumungbat.
and, if I question you, you will not answer.
69 Ngem manipud ita, agtugawto ti Anak ti Tao iti makanawan nga ima iti pannakabalin ti Dios.”
But from this hour the Son of Man will be seated on the right hand of God Almighty.”
70 Kinunada amin, “Ket sika ngarud ti Anak ti Dios?” ket kinuna ni Hesus kadakuada, “Dakayo ti nangibaga a Siak.”
“Are you, then, the Son of God?” they all asked. “It is true,” answered Jesus, “I am.”
71 Kinunada, “Apay nga kasapulantayo pay laeng ti mangsaksi? Ta nangngegantayo amin manipud iti ngiwatna.”
At this they exclaimed, “Why do we want any more evidence? We have heard it ourselves from his own lips!”
