Lucas 12

In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
2 Ngem awan iti banag a nailemmeng, nga saan a maibutaktak, ken awan ti nailimed nga saan a maammoan.
For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
3 Ta aniaman nga imbagam iti nasipnget ket mangngegto iti lawag, ken aniaman nga iyarasaasmo iti lapayag iti kaunegan nga kuarto ket maiwaragawagto iti rabaw dagiti babbalay.
Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
4 Ibagak kadakayo gagayemko, di kay agbuteng kadagiti mangpatay iti bagi, nga kalpasan iti dayta ket awanen ti mabalinda nga aramiden.
And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
5 Ngem ballaagan kayo maipanggep kenkuana a pagbutnganyo. Pagbutnganyo isuna, isuna a kalpasan nga mangpatay, ket addaan iti karbengan nga mangitapuak kadakayo idiay impierno. Wen, ibagak kadakayo, agbuteng kayo kenkuana. (Geenna g1067)
But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath authority to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. (Geenna g1067)
6 Saan aya nga diay lima a billit tuleng ket mailako iti dua nga sentimo? Nupay kasta, awan uray maysa kadakuada nga malipatan iti imatang ti Dios.
Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?
7 Ngem uray pay ti buok iti uloyo ket nabilang amin. Dikay agbuteng. Napatpategkayo ngem dagiti adu a billit tuleng.
But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
8 Ibagak kadakayo, tunggal maysa nga mangiwaragawag kaniak iti sangwanan dagiti tattao, iwaragawagto met ti Anak ti Tao iti sangwanan dagiti anghel ti Dios,
Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
9 ngem isuna nga mangilibak kaniak iti sangoanan dagiti tattao ket mailibakto met iti sangoanan dagiti anghel ti Dios.
But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.
10 Tunggal maysa nga agsao iti maibusor iti Anak ti Tao ket mapakawanto dayta kenkuana, ngem kenkuana nga agtabbaaw maibusor iti Espiritu Santo ket saan a mapakawan.
And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.
11 No ipan dakayo idiay sinagoga ket isangodakayo kadagiti papanguloen ken agtuturay, saan kayo a madanagan no kasanokayo nga agsao nga mangikalintegan iti bagbagiyo, wenno ania iti ibagayo,
And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and authorities, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:
12 ta isuronakayonto ti Espiritu Santo no ania iti rumbeng nga ibagayo iti dayta nga oras.”
For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
13 Ket kinuna kenkuana ti maysa nga naggapu iti kaaduan ti tattao, “Maestro, ibagam ken ni kabsat ko ta pagbingayanmi ti tawid mi.”
And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me.
14 Kinuna ni Hesus kenkuana, “Lalaki, siasinno ti namagbalin kaniak nga ukom wenno mangibabaet kadakayo?”
And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?
15 Ket kinunana kadakuada, “Annadanyo ti bagbagiyo manipud kadagiti amin nga naagum nga tarigagay. Ngamin, iti panagbiag ti tao ket saan nga ti kinaadu ti sanikuana iti linaonna.”
And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
16 Kalpasan ket imbaga ni Hesus kadakuada ti maysa a pangngarig, nga kunana, “Iti bangkag iti maysa nga baknang a tao ket adu iti naapit,
And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
17 ket inrasonna iti bagina a kunana, 'Ania ngata ti aramidek, agsipud ta awanen ti disso a pagidulinak kadagiti apitko?'
And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?
18 Kinunana, 'Kastoy ti aramidek, rakrakek daytoy kamarinko ket agpatakderak ti dadakkel ket idiayto ti pagidulinak iti amin nga bukbukelko ken dadduma pay nga mausar.
And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
19 Ibagakto iti kararuak, “Kararua, adun ti mausar nga nakadulin para iti adu a tawen. Aginanaka nga nagin-awa, mangan, uminom ken agragsakka.'”
And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
20 Ngem imbaga ti Dios kenkuana, 'Maag nga tao, ita nga rabii ket masubli ti kararuam, ket dagita insaganam nga banbanag, siasinonton ti agtagikua?'
But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
21 Kasla kasta ti kaiyaspingan iti `maysa nga agurnong ti kinabaknang para iti bagina ket saan nga baknang iti maipanggep iti Dios.”
So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
22 Imbaga ni Hesus kadagiti adalanna, “Ngarud, ibagak kadakayo, saan kayo madanagan maipapan iti panagbiagyo—no ania ti kanenyo, wenno maipapan iti bagiyo— no ania ti ibadoyo.
And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.
23 Ta ti biag ket napatpateg ngem taraon, ken ti bagi ket napatpateg ngem ti badbado.
The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
24 Panunotenyo kadi dagiti uwak, saanda nga agmulmula ken agap-apit. Awan ti pagiduldulinanda wenno kamarinda, ngem pakpakanen ida ti Dios. Ket adayu nga napatpategkayo ngem dagiti billit!
Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
25 Ket siasino kadakayo ti makanayon iti maysa a cubit iti biagna gapu iti panagdandanag?
And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?
26 No kasta ngarud, awan ti kabaelanyo nga aramiden uray dayta nga kababassitan a banag, apay nagrud a madanagankayo maipanggep iti daddumapay?
If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
27 Panunutenyo dagiti lirio—no kasanoda nga dumakkel. Saanda nga agtartarabaho, wenno agabel. Ngem ibagak kadakayo, uray pay ni Solomon iti amin a kinadayagna ket saan a nakawesan nga kasla iti maysa kadagitoy.
Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
28 No dagitinto pay ruot iti tay-ak nga agbibiag tatta nga aldaw, ket no bigat maibelleng idiay pugon, nangnangruna pay a kawesanna kayo, nagbassit ketdin ti pammatiyo!
If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
29 Saanyo nga sapulen no ania ti kanenyo ken no ania ti inumenyo, ken saan kayo nga madanagan.
And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
30 Ta amin nga nasyon iti lubong ket dagitoy a banbanag ti sapsapulenda, ket ammo ti Amayo nga masapulyo dagitoy nga banbanag.
For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
31 Ngem birukenyo ti pagarianna, ket dagitoy nga banbanag ket mainayonto kadakayo.
But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
32 Di kay agbuteng, babassit nga karnero, ta iti Amayo ket maayatan nga mangted kadakayo iti pagarian.
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
33 Ilakoyo dagiti sanikuayo ken itedyo kadagiti marigrigat. Iyaramidanyo dagiti bagbagiyo kadagiti pitaka nga saan a marunot - kinabaknang idiay langit nga saan a maibus, saan nga maasitgan iti agtatakaw ken saan nga dadaelen iti simotsimot.
Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
34 Ta nu sadinno ti ayan ti kinabaknangyo, idiayto met ti ayan iti pusoyo.
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
35 Bay-anyo nga nakasuksuk ti atidog nga badoyo iti barikesyo, ken bay-anyo nga agap-apuy dagiti lamparayo,
Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;
36 ken agbalinkayo a kas kadagiti tattao nga mangbirbiruk iti amongda no agsubli isuna nga aggapu iti kasaran, tapno inton sumangpet ket agtoktok, dagusda nga lukatan ti ridaw para kenkuana.
And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.
37 Nabendisionan dagiti adipen, nga masangpetan ti amongda nga mangpadpadaan no sumangpet isuna. Pudno nga ibagak kadakayo, nga isuksoknanto ti atiddog nga badona iti barikesna, patugawennanto ida iti panganan, ken umay ket pagserbianna ida.
Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
38 No ti amo ket sumangpet iti maikadua nga panagbantay iti rabii, wenno uray pay iti maikatallo nga panagbantay, ket makitana ida nga sisasagana, nabendisionan dagita nga adipen.
And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.
39 Maysa pay, ammuenyo daytoy, nga no ammo kuma ti akin balay ti oras nga isasangpet ti agtatakaw, saanna kuma nga binaybay-an ti balayna nga maserrek.
And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.
40 Agsagana kayo met, gapu ta saanyo nga ammo ti oras nga umay Ti Anak ti Tao.”
Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
41 Kinuna ni Pedro, “Apo, ibagbagayo kadi dayta nga pangngarig kadakami laeng, wenno iti amin?”
Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all?
42 Kinuna ti Apo, “Siasino ngarud diay napudno ken nasirib nga mangimatmaton, nga isunto iti isaad ti amongna nga mangidaulo kadagiti dadduma pay nga adipenna nga mangted kadakuada iti bingayda a makan iti umno nga oras?
And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?
43 Nabendisionan dayta nga adipen nga masangpetan ti amongna nga ar-aramidenna dayta inton umay isuna.
Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
44 Pudno nga ibagak kadakayo nga isaadnanto dayta nga adipen tapno agaywan kadagiti amin a sanikuana.
Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.
45 Ngem no ibaga iti dayta nga adipen iti pusona, 'Itantantan met iti amongko ti panagsublina,' ket rugianannanto nga kabilen dagiti adipen nga lallaki ken babbai, ken mangan ken uminom, ken agbartekto,
But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
46 sumangpetto ti among dayta nga adipen iti maysa nga aldaw a saanna nga mapakadaan, ken iti oras nga saanna nga ammo, ket tadtadennanto isuna ken ikeddenganna iti pagyanan a para kenkuana kadagiti saan a mapagtalkan.
The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
47 Dayta adipen nga ammona no ania ti kayat ti amongna nga aramidenna, ngem saan a nagsagana ken saanna nga inaramid ti kayat ti amongna, ket mapang-urto iti mamin-adu.
And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
48 Ngem isuna nga saanna nga ammo, ket nakaaramid kadagiti banbanag a rumbeng nga pakapang-uranna, ket sumagmamano laeng ti panakapang-urna. Tunggal maysa nga naikkan iti adu ket adunto met ti manamnama kenkuana, ken iti nangitalekan iti ad-adu, ket ad-adunto met ti dawatenda kenkuana.
But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
49 Immayak ditoy daga tapno uramek iti lubong, ket anian a kalikagumko nga daytoy ket immapoyen.
I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?
50 Ngem adda buniag nga pakabautisarak, ket anian dukotko agingga a matungpal!
But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!
51 Ipagarupyo kadi nga immayak tapno mangted iti kapia ditoy daga? Saan, ngem ketdi, panagsisina.
Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
52 Ta manipud ita ket addanto lima iti maysa nga pagtaengan a masinasina— ti tallo nga tao ket makisupiat iti dua, wenno dua nga tao ket supiatenda ti tallo nga tao.
For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
53 Masinasina danto, ti ama kontra iti anak a lalaki, ken ti anak a lalaki kontra iti ama; ti ina kontra iti anak a babai, ken ti anak a babai kontra iti inana, ti katugangan a babai kontra iti manugangna a babai, ken ti manugang a babai kontra iti katugangan a babai.”
The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
54 Ibagbaga pay ni Hesus kadagiti tattao, “No makitayo ti ulep nga ngumato iti laud, ibagayo nga dagus, 'Umay ti tudo,' ket isu ti mapaspasamak.
And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.
55 Ket no agpuyupoy ti angin nga aggapu iti abagatan, ibagayo nga, 'Addan to iti makasinit nga pudot,' ket isu ti mapasamak.
And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass.
56 Dakayo nga aginsisingpet, ammoyo no kasano ti mangipatarus iti langa ti daga ken ti langit, ngem kasano nga saanyo nga ammo iti mangipatarus iti agdama?
Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?
57 Apay nga saanyo nga maikeddeng no anya ti umno para kadagiti bagbagiyo?
Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?
58 Ta no mapan kayo iti ukom a kaduayo ti kabusoryo, idiay paylaeng dalan ket aramidenyo iti pamuspusan tapno maurnos iti banag kenkuana tapno iti kasta ket saannakayo nga idatag iti ukom, ken tapno iti ukom ket saannakayo nga iyawat iti opisyal, ket dinakayto iyaoan ti opisyal iti pagbaludan.
When thou goest with thine adversary to the magistrate, as thou art in the way, give diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him; lest he hale thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into prison.
59 Ibagak kadakayo, saan kayonton nga makaruar manipud sadiay agingga a nabayadanyo amin a multa.”
I tell thee, thou shalt not depart thence, till thou hast paid the very last mite.
