< Un-unnoy 3 >
1 Siak ti tao a nakapadas iti rigat babaen ti baut ti pungtot ni Yahweh.
I [, the one who am writing this, ] am a man who has been afflicted/punished [MTY] by Yahweh because he was angry.
2 Pinapanawnak ken pinapagnanak iti kasipngetan a saan ket nga iti nalawag.
[It was as though] he caused me to walk in a very dark place without any light [at all].
3 Awan duadua a tinallikudannak; inaldaw a dusdusaennak.
He has punished [IDM] me many times, all day, [every] day.
4 Pinirpirsayna ti lasag ken kudilko; tinuktukkolna dagiti tultulangko.
He has caused my skin and my flesh to become old. He has broken my bones.
5 Nangaramid isuna kadagiti kasla bunton ti pitak iti aglawlawko, ken pinalawlawannak iti saem ken rigat.
He has surrounded me [DOU] with bitterness and suffering.
6 Pinagnaednak kadagiti nasisipnget a lugar, kas kadagiti nabayagen a natay.
[It is as though] he has buried me in a dark place like [SIM] [the graves of] those who have been dead for a long time.
7 Nangbangon isuna iti pader iti aglawlawko, ket saanak a makalibas. Inaramidna a nadagsen dagiti kawarko.
[It is as though] [MET] he has built a wall around me, and fastened/tied me with heavy chains, and I cannot escape.
8 Uray no ipukkaw ken iyikkisko ti panagdawatko iti tulong, saanna latta nga ikaskaso dagiti kararagko.
Although I call out and cry out for him to help me, he does not pay attention to my prayers.
9 Sinerraanna ti dalanko iti pader a bato; amin a dalan a pagnaak ket awan pagturonganna.
[It is as though] he has blocked my path with a [high] stone [wall] and has caused my path to become crooked.
10 Arigna ti maysa nga oso a nakasagana a mangkemmeg kaniak, kasla leon nga agpadpadaan.
He has waited to attack me like [SIM] a bear or a lion hides and waits [to attack other animals].
11 Pinagkillona ti dalanko. Pinirpirsaynak ken pinagbalinnak nga awan serserbina.
[It is as though] he has dragged me off the path and (mauled me/torn me into pieces), and left me without help.
12 Imbiatna ti baina ket siak ti nangituronganna iti pana.
[It is as though] [MET] he bent his bow and caused me to become the target [at which he shot] his arrows.
13 Impuntana iti pusok dagiti pana a nagian ti pagikabkabilanna iti pana.
[It is as though] he shot his arrows deep into my body.
14 Pagkakatawaandak dagiti amin a tattaok, ti madakdakamat iti kantada a panglais iti inaldaw.
All my relatives laugh at me; all day, [every] day they sing songs that make fun of me.
15 Pinunnonak iti pait ken pinainumnak iti apro.
He has filled me with (bitterness/great suffering), [like] [MET] someone who drinks a very bitter liquid suffers.
16 Pinusina dagiti ngipenko babaen iti batbato; indumudomnak iti katapukan.
[It is as though] he has caused me to chew gravel that broke my teeth, and he has trampled me in the dirt.
17 Inikkatmo ti talna iti biagko; awanen malagipko a kinaragsak.
Things no longer go well for me; I no longer remember being prosperous.
18 Isu a kinunak, “Napukawen ti kinaandurko, ken awanen ti namnamak kenni Yahweh.”
I [continued to] say [to myself], “I no longer expect to live much longer; I no longer confidently expect [to receive good things] from Yahweh!”
19 Malagipko ti pannakaparigatko ken ti panagkatang-katangko a maiyarig iti napait nga apro.
When I think about my suffering and my wandering [away from home], [it is like drinking] a very bitter [DOU] liquid.
20 Pudno a malaglagipko, ket aglusdoyak iti kinaawan namnamak.
I will never forget this time when I feel very depressed/discouraged [IDM].
21 Ngem panpanunotek daytoy, ket daytoy ti gapuna nga adda namnamak:
However, I confidently expect [Yahweh to do good things for me again] when I think about this:
22 Babaen iti kinapudno ni Yahweh iti tulagna a saantayo a napapatay, ta saan nga agpatingga ti kinamanangaasina.
Yahweh never stops faithfully loving [us], and he never stops being kind to us.
23 Binigat a bumaro ti kinamanangaasina; naindaklan ti kinapudnom!
[He is the one whom we can] always trust/lean on. Every morning he is merciful [to us again].
24 “Ni Yahweh ti tawidko,” kinunak iti bagik, isu a mangnamnamaak kenkuana.
[So] I say to myself, “Yahweh is all that I need; so I will confidently wait for him [to do good things for me].”
25 Nasayaat ni Yahweh kadagiti mangur-uray kenkuana, kadagiti biag a mangsapsapul kenkuana.
Yahweh is good to [all] those who depend on him, to those who seek his [help].
26 Nasayaat ti siuulimek nga aguray iti panangisalakan ni Yahweh.
[So] it is good for us to wait quietly for Yahweh to save/rescue [us].
27 Nasaysayaat a baklayen ti maysa a tao ti sangolna iti kinaagtutubona.
And it is good for us to [patiently] endure [suffering] while we are young.
28 Agtugaw koma isuna nga agmaymaysa ken siuulimek, gapu ta isu ti impaay ni Yahweh kenkuana.
Those [who seek his help] should sit by themselves, silently, [knowing that] it is Yahweh who has allowed/caused them to suffer.
29 Maipasubsob koma isuna iti katapukan, ket nalabit nga addanton ti namnama.
They should lie in the dirt, with their faces on the ground, [because] they can still hope [that Yahweh will help them].
30 Itayana koma ti pingpingna iti nangtungpa kenkuana. Mapnoan koma isuna iti pannakalalais,
If someone strikes us on one cheek, we should turn the other cheek toward that person [in order that he may strike it, too], and accept/endure it when we are insulted.
31 ta saan nga agnanayon a laksiden isuna ti Apo!
Yahweh does not abandon [us his people] forever.
32 Ta uray no mangiyeg isuna iti ladingit, ipakpakitana met ti asina gapu iti kinaindaklan ti kinapudnona iti tulagna.
Sometimes he causes us to suffer, but sometimes he is kind [to us] because he continually and faithfully loves [us].
33 Ta saanna a pagaayat ti mangparparigat, wenno saanna a pagaayat a mangparparigat kadagiti annak dagiti tattao.
And he is not happy about causing human beings to suffer or to be sad.
34 Saanna a pagaayat ti pannakaibadde-baddek dagiti amin a balud ditoy daga,
If people (mistreat all the prisoners/crush all the prisoners under their feet)
35 saanna a pagaayat ti pannakaballikog ti kalintegan dagiti tattao iti imatang ti Kangatoan,
or if they rebel against God by refusing to give to people the things that it is right for them [to receive],
36 saanna a pagaayat ti saan a panangipaay dagiti pagukoman iti hustisia iti maysa a tao - makitkita ti Apo dagita.
or if they cause judges to decide matters unjustly, (does Yahweh not see all those things?/Yahweh certainly sees all those things!) [RHQ]
37 Siasino koma ti makabael nga agsao ket mapasamak ti imbagana nga uray saan nga imbilin ti Apo?
No one can [RHQ] command something to happen [and then cause it to happen] if Yahweh has not already decided that it should happen.
38 Saan kadi a santo laeng umadda ti didigra ken balligi babaen iti ngiwat ti Kangangatoan?
God in heaven [MTY] is [RHQ] the one who causes disasters to happen, and he [also] causes good things to happen.
39 Kasano koma a makareklamo ti maysa a sibibiag a tao? Kasano koma a makareklamo ti maysa a tao maipanggep iti pannakadusana gapu kadagiti basbasolna?
[So] it is certainly not [RHQ] right for us, who are only humans, to complain when he punishes us for the sins that we have committed.
40 Sukimatentayo a nalaing dagiti wagastayo, ken agsublitayo manen kenni Yahweh.
Instead, we should (examine/think carefully about) our behavior; we should turn back to Yahweh.
41 Itag-aytayo koma dagiti puspuso ken im-imatayo iti Dios nga adda sadi langit ket ikararagtayo:
We should pray [IDM] sincerely and lift up our arms toward God in heaven, [and say, ]
42 “Linabsing ken sinukirdaka, ket saannakami a pinakawan.
“We have sinned and rebelled [against you], and you have not forgiven [us].
43 Arigna a binungonmo ti bagim iti pungtot ket kinamkamatnakami. Ken awanan asi a pinapataynakami.
You have surrounded us with your anger and pursued us; you have slaughtered [us] without pitying us.
44 Arigna a binungonmo ti bagim iti ulep, tapno awan makalusot a kararag.
You have hidden yourself in a cloud, with the result that you do not hear [us] when we pray.
45 Arigna a pinagbalinnakami a basura ken awan serserbina kadagiti tattao.
You have caused [the people of other] nations to consider us to be only garbage [DOU].
46 Inlukat dagiti amin a kabusormi dagiti ngiwatda tapno laisendakami.
All our enemies have insulted us.
47 Immay kadakami ti panagbuteng iti abut, pannakadadael ken pannakarumek.”
We are constantly afraid [DOU], [because] we have experienced disasters and ruin [DOU].”
48 Agarubos ti danum iti matak gapu iti pannakarumek ti babai nga anak dagiti tattaok.
I cry a lot because my people have been destroyed.
49 Agarubos ti luak kadagiti matak, ket saan nga agsardeng, ta awan pagpatinggaanna daytoy
My tears continually flow; they will not stop
50 agingga a tumman-aw ni Yahweh manipud iti langit.
until Yahweh looks down from heaven and sees [us].
51 Mangipapaay ti matak iti saem iti biagko gapu kadagiti amin a babbai nga annak ti siudadko.
I am very grieved because of [what has happened to] the women of my city.
52 Kasta unay ti pananganup kaniak dagiti kabusorko nga uray awan gapgapuna.
Those who are my enemies hunted for me like [SIM] [people hunt for] a bird [to kill it] [even though] there was no reason [for them to do that].
53 Dinadaelda ti biagko babaen iti bubon ken ginaburandak iti bato.
They threw me into a pit to kill me, and they threw stones on top of me.
54 Linipusen ti danum ti ulok; kinunak, “Kanibusanakon!”
The water [in the pit] rose above my head, and I said [to myself], “I am about to die/drown!”
55 Immawagak iti naganmo, O Yahweh, manipud iti kaunegan nga abut.
But from the bottom of the pit I cried out to you [MTY], “Yahweh, [help me]!”
56 Nangegmo ti timekko idi kinunak a, “Saanmo nga apputen ta lapayagmo iti panangawagko kenka tapno mabang-aranak, iti panagasugko nga agpapaarayat.”
I pleaded with you, “Do not refuse to heed [MTY] me while I cry out to you!”
57 Immasidegka idi aldaw nga inawaganka ket kunam kaniak, “Dika agbuteng!”
Then you answered me and said, “Do not be afraid!”
58 Apo, inkalintegannak idi addaak iti pangukoman; insalakanmo ti biagko!
Yahweh, you defended me; you did not allow me to die.
59 O Yahweh, nakitam ti panangidaddadanesda kaniak. Ukomennak a sililinteg.
[Now], Yahweh, you have seen the evil things that my enemies have done to me, [so] decide my case [and show that I am right]!
60 Nakitam dagiti amin a panangbalbalesda, dagiti amin a planoda maibusor kaniak.
You know the evil things that they have planned to do to me.
61 Nangegmo dagiti panaglalaisda, O Yahweh, ken dagiti amin a planoda maipapan kaniak.
Yahweh, you have heard them insult [me] and what they have planned to do to me.
62 Nangegmo dagiti bibig dagidiay a bimmusor kaniak; nangngegmo dagiti agmalmalem a panpanunotenda a maibusor kaniak.
Every day they whisper and mutter things about me, all day long.
63 Kabayatan iti panagtugtugawda man wenno kabayatan iti panagtaktakderda, kitaem, O Yahweh! Siak ti madakdakamat iti kantada a panglais.
Look at them! Whether they are standing or sitting they make fun of me with the songs that they sing.
64 Balsem ida, O Yahweh, a kas iti kinakaro ti inaramid dagiti imada.
Yahweh, cause them to suffer in return for their causing [me] to suffer!
65 Ikkam iti panagbuteng dagiti puspusoda; idissuormo ti lunodmo kadakuada.
Curse them [IDM] [for] their being very stubborn [IDM].
66 Sunsonem ida iti ungetmo ken dadaelem ida iti sadinoman nga ayanda iti baba ti langit, O Yahweh!
Because you are angry with them, pursue them and get rid of them, [until none of them remain] on the earth.
