1 Napan ti anghel ni Yahweh manipud Gilgal nga agturong idiay Bokim, ket kinunana, “Inruarkayo manipud Egipto, ken impankayo iti daga nga insapatak nga ited kadagiti ammayo. Kinunak, 'Saankonto pulos a dadaelen ti katulagak kadakayo.
And the Messenger of YHWH goes up from Gilgal to Bochim,
2 Masapul a saankayo a makitulag kadagiti tattao nga agnanaed iti daytoy a daga. Masapul a rebbaenyo dagiti altarda.' Ngem saankayo a dimngeg iti timekko. Ania daytoy nga inaramidyo?
and says, “I cause you to come up out of Egypt, and bring you into the land which I have sworn to your fathers, and say, I do not break My covenant with you for all time; and you make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land—you break down their altars; and you have not listened to My voice—what [is] this you have done?
3 Ket ita kunaek, 'Saanko a papanawen dagiti Cananeo iti sangoananyo, ngem agbalindanto a sisiit kadagiti sikiganyo, ken agbalinto a palab-og para kadakayo dagiti diosda.'”
And I have also said, I do not cast them out from your presence, and they have been for adversaries to you, and their gods are for a snare to you.”
4 Idi naisao ti anghel ni Yahweh dagitoy a sasao kadagiti amin a tattao ti Israel, nagpukkaw ken nagsangit dagiti tattao.
And it comes to pass, when the Messenger of YHWH speaks these words to all the sons of Israel, that the people lift up their voice and weep,
5 Inawaganda dayta a lugar iti Bokim. Nangidatagda sadiay kadagiti daton kenni Yahweh.
and they call the name of that place Bochim, and sacrifice to YHWH there.
6 Idi pinaapanen ni Josue dagiti tattao iti dalanda, napan dagiti tattao ti Israel iti tunggal lugar a naited kadakuada, tapno tagikuaenda ti dagada.
And Joshua sends the people away, and the sons of Israel go, each to his inheritance, to possess the land;
7 Nagserbi dagiti tattao kenni Yahweh bayat iti panagbiag ni Josue ken dagiti panglakayen a nagbiag iti napapaut ngem isuna, dagiti nakakita kadagiti amin a naindaklan nga aramid ni Yahweh nga inaramidna para iti Israel.
and the people serve YHWH all [the] days of Joshua, and all [the] days of [the] elderly who prolonged days after Joshua, who saw all the great work of YHWH which He did to Israel.
8 Ni Josue a putot a lalaki ni Nun nga adipen ni Yahweh ket natay idi agtawen iti 110.
And Joshua son of Nun, servant of YHWH, dies, a son of one hundred and ten years,
9 Intabonda isuna iti beddeng ti daga a naited kenkuana idiay Timnat-heres, idiay katurturodan a pagilian ti Efraim, iti amianan ti Bantay Gaas.
and they bury him in the border of his inheritance, in Timnath-Heres, in the hill-country of Ephraim, on the north of Mount Gaash;
10 Amin dayta a henerasion ket naitipon met kadagiti ammada. Kalpasan kadakuada, ket dimmakel dagiti sabali a henerasion a saan a nakaam-ammo kenni Yahweh wenno iti inaramidna para iti Israel.
and all that generation have also been gathered to their fathers, and another generation rises after them who have not known YHWH, and even the work which He has done to Israel.
11 Inaramid dagiti tattao ti Israel ti dakes iti imatang ni Yahweh ken nagserbida kadagiti Baal.
And the sons of Israel do evil in the eyes of YHWH, and serve the Ba‘alim,
12 Simminada kenni Yahweh a Dios dagiti ammada, a nangiruar kadakuada manipud iti daga ti Egipto. Simmurotda kadagiti sabali a dios, dagiti dios dagiti tattao nga adda iti aglawlawda, ket nagrukbabda kadagitoy. Rinurodda ni Yahweh gapu ta
and forsake YHWH, God of their fathers, who brings them out from the land of Egypt, and go after other gods (of the gods of the peoples who [are] around them), and bow themselves to them, and provoke YHWH,
13 simminada kenni Yahweh ken nagdayawda kenni Baal ken kadagiti Astarot.
indeed, they forsake YHWH, and do service to Ba‘al and to Ashtaroth.
14 Simged ti unget ni Yahweh iti Israel, ket inyawatna ida kadagiti agsamsamsam a nangtakaw kadagiti sanikuada. Inlakona ida a kas tagabu a natengngel babaen iti pigsa dagiti kabusorda nga adda iti aglawlawda, isu a saandan a maikanawa dagiti bagbagida kadagiti kabusorda.
And the anger of YHWH burns against Israel, and He gives them into the hand of spoilers, and they spoil them, and He sells them into the hand of their surrounding enemies, and they have not been able to stand before their enemies anymore;
15 Iti sadinoman a pakigubatan ti Israel, ti ima ni Yahweh ket maibusor kadakuada tapno maparmekda, kas iti insapatana kadakuada. Ket nakaro ti pannakariribukda.
in every [place] where they have gone out, the hand of YHWH has been against them for calamity, as YHWH has spoken, and as YHWH has sworn to them, and they are greatly distressed.
16 Kalpasanna nangisaad ni Yahweh kadagiti ukom, a nangisalakan kadakuada manipud iti pannakabalin dagiti agtaktakaw kadagiti sanikuada.
And YHWH raises up judges, and they save them from the hand of their spoilers;
17 Ngem saanda latta a dumngeg kadagiti ukomda. Saanda a napudno kenni Yahweh ken intedda dagiti bagbagida a kasla balangkantis kadagiti sabali a dios ket nagdayawda kadagitoy. Iti saan a nagbayag, timmalikodda manipud iti wagas ti panagbiag dagiti ammada - dagidiay nagtulnog kadagiti bilin ni Yahweh - ngem saanda nga inaramid ti kasta.
and they have also not listened to their judges, but have gone whoring after other gods, and bow themselves to them; they have turned aside [with] haste out of the way [in] which their fathers walked to obey the commands of YHWH—they have not done so.
18 No nangisaad ni Yahweh kadagiti ukom para kadakuada, tinulungan ni Yahweh dagiti ukom ken inispalna ida manipud iti pannakabalin dagiti kabusorda iti amin nga aldaw a nagbibiag ti ukom. Ta naasian ni Yahweh kadakuada idi immasugda gapu kadagiti nangidadanes ken nangparparigat kadakuada.
And when YHWH raised up judges for them—then YHWH was with the judge, and saved them out of the hand of their enemies all [the] days of the judge; for YHWH sighs, because of their groaning from the presence of their oppressors, and of those thrusting them away.
19 Ngem no matay ti ukom, tumallikudda ket agaramidda kadagiti banbanag a nadakdakes pay ngem kadagiti inaramid dagiti ammada. Simmurotda kadagiti sabali a dios tapno agserbi ken agdayawda kadagitoy. Nagkedkedda a mangisardeng kadagiti dakes nga aramidda wenno kadagiti nasukir a wagasda.
And it has come to pass, when the judge dies—they turn back and have done corruptly above their fathers, to go after other gods, to serve them, and to bow themselves to them; they have not fallen from their doings, and from their stiff way.
20 Simged ti unget ni Yahweh iti Israel; kinunana, “Gapu ta dinadael daytoy a nasion ti nakitulagak kadagiti ammada - gapu ta saanda a dimngeg iti timekko -
And the anger of YHWH burns against Israel, and He says, “Because that this nation has transgressed My covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not listened to My voice—
21 manipud ita, saankon a papanawen manipud iti sangoananda dagiti nasion nga imbati ni Josue idi natay isuna.
I also do not continue to dispossess any from before them of the nations which Joshua has left when he dies,
22 Aramidek daytoy tapno masubokko ti Israel, no salimetmetanda wenno saan dagiti wagas ni Yahweh ken magnada iti daytoy a kas iti panangsalimetmet dagiti ammada.”
in order to try Israel by them, whether they are keeping the way of YHWH, to go in it, as their fathers kept [it], or not.”
23 Dayta ti gapuna no apay nga imbati ni Yahweh dagidiay a nasion ken saanna ida a dagus a pinapanaw, ken no apay a saanna nga impalubos a parmeken ida ni Josue.
And YHWH leaves these nations, so as not to dispossess them quickly, and did not give them into the hand of Joshua.
