< Juan 4 >

1 Ita, idi naammoan ni Jesus a nangngeg dagiti Fariseo nga ad-adu ti baubatisaranna ken ar-aramidenna nga adalan ngem kenni Juan
Therefore when the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Yeshua was making and immersing more disciples than Yochanan
2 (nupay saan nga isuna ti mangbaubautisar, no diket dagiti adalanna),
(although Yeshua himself didn’t immerse, but his disciples),
3 pinanawanna ti Judea ket napan isuna idiay Galilea.
he left Judea and departed into Galilee.
4 Ita, kasapulan a lumabas isuna idiay Samaria.
He needed to pass through Samaria.
5 Isu a napan isuna idiay Sychar nga ili iti Samaria. Asideg daytoy iti bassit a daga nga inted ni Jacob iti anakna a ni Jose.
So he came to a city of Samaria called Sychar, near the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
6 Adda sadiay ti bubon ni Jacob. Nagtugaw ni Jesus idiay bubon agsipud ta nabannog isuna manipud iti panagdalyasatna. Umadanin idi ti katengngaan iti aldaw.
Jacob’s well was there. Yeshua therefore, being tired from his journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour.
7 Immay ti babai a Samaritano tapno agsakdo iti danum. Kinuna ni Jesus kenkuana, “Ikkannak iti danum nga inomek.”
A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Yeshua said to her, “Give me a drink.”
8 Daytoy ket agsipud ta napan dagiti adalanna idiay ili tapno gumatang iti taraon.
For his disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.
9 Ket kinuna iti babai a Samaritano kenkuana, “Apay a sika a Judio ket dumawdawat kaniak, a babai a Samaritano iti mainum?” Daytoy ket agsipud ta saan a makikadkadua dagiti Judio kadagiti Samaritano.
The Samaritan woman therefore said to him, “How is it that you, being a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)
10 Sinungbatan ni Jesus isuna, “No naammoam ti sagut iti Dios, siasino ngarud dayta a mangibagbaga kenka, 'Ikkanak iti mainom,' dinamagmo koma isuna ket ikkannaka iti sibibiag a danum.”
Yeshua answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”
11 Simmungbat ti babai, “Apo, awan ti timbam, ken nauneg ti bubon. Sadino ti pangalaam iti dayta a sibibiag a danum?
The woman said to him, “Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. So where do you get that living water?
12 Saanka a nabilbileg, wenno nabilbilegka kadi ngem ti amami a ni Jacob a nangted kadakami iti bubon ken imminom manipud iti daytoy a kas iti inaramid dagiti annakna ken ti bakana?”
Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did his children and his livestock?”
13 Simmungbat ni Jesus, “mawawto manen ti amin nga uminom iti daytoy a danum,
Yeshua answered her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again,
14 ngem saanto pulos a mawaw ti siasinoman nga uminom iti itedko a danum kenkuana. Ngem ketdi, agbalinto a burayok kenkuana ti danum nga itedko ken agubbog iti agnanayon a biag.” (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
15 Kinuna iti babai kenkuana, “Apo, itedmo kaniak dayta a danum tapno saannakto a mawaw ken saannakton nga umay ditoy tapno agsakdo iti danum.”
The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I don’t get thirsty, neither come all the way here to draw.”
16 Kinuna ni Jesus kenkuana, “Mapanka ket ayabam ti asawam ken agsublikayo ditoy.”
Yeshua said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.”
17 Simmungbat ti babai kenkuana, “Awan ti asawak.” Simmungbat ni Jesus, “Imbagam ti nasayaat, 'Awan ti asawak,'
The woman answered, “I have no husband.” Yeshua said to her, “You said well, ‘I have no husband,’
18 agsipud ta addaanka iti lima nga asawa ken ti adda kenka ita ket saanmo nga asawa. Nagsaoka iti nasayaat iti daytoy!”
for you have had five husbands; and he whom you now have is not your husband. This you have said truly.”
19 Kinuna iti babai kenkuana, “Apo, makitak a sika ket profeta.
The woman said to him, “Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet.
20 Nagdayaw dagiti ammami iti daytoy a bantay. Ngem imbagayo a tattao nga idiay Jerusalem ti lugar a rumbeng a pagrukbaban dagiti tattao.”
Our fathers worshipped in this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where people ought to worship.”
21 Simmungbat ni Jesus kenkuana, “Mamatika kaniak babai, um-umayen ti oras no agrukbabkayo iti Ama, saan nga iti daytoy a bantay ken saan met nga idiay Jerusalem.
Yeshua said to her, “Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father.
22 Agrukrukbabkayo a tattao iti saanyo nga ammo. Agrukrukbabkami iti ammomi agsipud ta ti pannakaisalakan ket naggapu kadagiti Judio.
You worship that which you don’t know. We worship that which we know; for salvation is from the Jews.
23 Nupay kasta, um-umayen ti oras, ken itan ti tiempo, no agrukbab dagiti pudno nga agrukrukbab iti Ama iti espiritu ken kinapudno, ta agbirbiruk ti Ama kadagiti tattao nga agrukbab kenkuana.
But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to be his worshippers.
24 Ti Dios ket Espiritu, ken rumbeng nga agrukbab dagiti tattao nga agrukrukbab kenkuana iti espiritu ken kinapudno.”
God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”
25 Imbaga iti babai kenkuana, “Ammok nga umayto ti Messias, ti maaw-awagan a Kristo. Iwaragawagnanto ti amin kadatayo no umayto isuna.
The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming, he who is called Messiah. When he has come, he will declare to us all things.”
26 Kinuna ni Jesus kenkuana, “Siak a makisarsarita kenka, siak isuna.”
Yeshua said to her, “I am he, the one who speaks to you.”
27 Nagsubli dagiti adalanna iti dayta a kanito. Masmasdaaw ita dagiti adalanna no apay a makikatkatungtong isuna iti babai, ngem awan ti nangibaga iti, “Ania ti kayatmo?” wenno “Apai a makikatkatungtongka kenkuana?”
Just then, his disciples came. They marvelled that he was speaking with a woman; yet no one said, “What are you looking for?” or, “Why do you speak with her?”
28 Isu nga imbati iti babai ti timba iti danum. Nagsubli isuna idiay ili ket imbagana kadagiti tattao,
So the woman left her water pot, went away into the city, and said to the people,
29 “Umaykayo, kitaenyo ti lalaki a nangibaga iti amin nga inaramidko. Saan a mabalin nga isuna ti Cristo, mabalin kadi?
“Come, see a man who told me everything that I have done. Can this be the Messiah?”
30 Pinanawanda ti ili ken napanda kenkuana.
They went out of the city, and were coming to him.
31 Iti daytoy a kanito, al-alukuyen isuna dagiti adalan, “Rabbi, manganka iti aniaman”
In the meanwhile, the disciples urged him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.”
32 Ngem kinuna ni Jesus kadakuada, “Adda ti taraonko a saanyo nga ammo ti maipapan iti daytoy.”
But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you don’t know about.”
33 Kinuna dagiti adalan iti tunggal maysa, “Awan ti siasinoman a nangted iti aniaman a kanenna, adda kadi?”
The disciples therefore said to one another, “Has anyone brought him something to eat?”
34 Kinuna ni Jesus kadakuada, “Ti taraonko ket ti mangaramid iti pagayatan iti nangibaon kaniak ken mangleppas iti trabahona.
Yeshua said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work.
35 Saanyo kadi nga ibaga, 'Adda pay ti uppat a bulan ket umayen ti panagaapit'? Ibagbagak kadakayo, tumangadkayo ken kitaenyo dagiti taltalon agsipud ta naluomen dagitoy ken mabalinen a maapit!
Don’t you say, ‘There are yet four months until the harvest’? Behold, I tell you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, that they are white for harvest already.
36 Makaawat iti tangdan ti agap-apit ken agur-urnong iti bunga a maipaay iti biag nga agnanayon tapno agmaymaysa nga agrag-o ti nagmula ken ti nagapit. (aiōnios g166)
He who reaps receives wages and gathers fruit to eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. (aiōnios g166)
37 Iti daytoy pagsasao ket pudno, 'Maysa ti agmulmula ken sabali ti mangap-apit.'
For in this the saying is true, ‘One sows, and another reaps.’
38 Imbaonkayo tapno mangapit iti saanyo a trinabaho. Nagtrabaho ti dadduma ken simrekkayo iti trabahoda.”
I sent you to reap that for which you haven’t laboured. Others have laboured, and you have entered into their labour.”
39 Adu kadagiti Samaritano iti dayta a siudad ti namati kenkuana gapu iti imbaga iti babai a mangpanpaneknek, “Imbagana amin kaniak nga inaramidko.”
From that city many of the Samaritans believed in him because of the word of the woman, who testified, “He told me everything that I have done.”
40 Idi napan dagiti Samaritano kenni Jesus, nagpakpakaasida kenkuana a makipagtalinaed pay laeng isuna kadakuada isu a nagtalinaed isuna sadiay iti dua nga aldaw.
So when the Samaritans came to him, they begged him to stay with them. He stayed there two days.
41 Ket adu pay dagiti namati gapu iti saona.
Many more believed because of his word.
42 Ibagbagada iti babai, “Mamatikami saan laeng a gapu kadagiti sasaom, nangngegmi met ken ammomi pay a daytoy ti pudno a mangisalakan iti lubong.”
They said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of your speaking; for we have heard for ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Messiah, the Saviour of the world.”
43 Pimmanaw isuna sadiay, napan isuna idiay Galilea kalpasan iti dua nga aldaw
After the two days he went out from there and went into Galilee.
44 ta imbaga ni Jesus nga awan ti dayaw iti profeta iti bukodna a pagilian.
For Yeshua himself testified that a prophet has no honour in his own country.
45 Idi napan isuna idiay Galilea, pinasangbay isuna dagiti taga Galilea. Nakitada dagiti amin a banbanag nga inaramidna idi fiesta iti Jerusalem, agsipud ta napanda met laeng idiay fiesta.
So when he came into Galilee, the Galileans received him, having seen all the things that he did in Jerusalem at the feast, for they also went to the feast.
46 Ita, nagsubli manen ni Jesus idiay Cana a lugar iti Galilea a nangaramidanna iti arak manipud iti danum. Adda ti opisial iti ari, masakit ti anakna a lalaki nga adda idiay Capernaum.
Yeshua came therefore again to Cana of Galilee, where he made the water into wine. There was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum.
47 Idi nangngegna a pimmanaw ni Jesus idiay Judea ken nagsubli idiay Galilea, napan isuna kenni Jesus ket nagpakpakaasi kenkuana a bumaba isuna ken agasanna ti masakit nga anakna a dandanin a matay.
When he heard that Yeshua had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to him and begged him that he would come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death.
48 Imbaga ni Jesus kenkuana, “Malaksid no makakitakayo a tattao kadagiti pagilasinan ken pagsiddaawan, saankayo a mamati.”
Yeshua therefore said to him, “Unless you see signs and wonders, you will in no way believe.”
49 Kinuna iti opisial kenkuana, “Apo, umaykan sakbay a matay ti anakko.”
The nobleman said to him, “Sir, come down before my child dies.”
50 Kinuna ni Jesus kenkuana, “Mapankan, agbiag ti anakmo.” Namati ti lalaki iti imbaga ni Jesus kenkuana ket napan isuna iti dalanna.
Yeshua said to him, “Go your way. Your son lives.” The man believed the word that Yeshua spoke to him, and he went his way.
51 Kabayatan a bumabbaba isuna, sinabat isuna dagiti adipenna ket kinunada nga agbibiag ti anakna.
As he was going down, his servants met him and reported, saying “Your child lives!”
52 Dinamagna kadakuada no ania nga oras a nangrugi nga immimbag ti anakna. Simmungbatda kenkuana, “Pinanawan isuna iti gurigorna idi maikapito nga oras idi kalman.”
So he enquired of them the hour when he began to get better. They said therefore to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour, the fever left him.”
53 Naamiris iti ama nga isu ti oras idi imbaga kenkuana ni Jesus, “Agbiag ti anakmo.” Namati ngarud isuna ken ti amin a pamiliana.
So the father knew that it was at that hour in which Yeshua said to him, “Your son lives.” He believed, as did his whole house.
54 Daytoy ti maikadua a pagilasinan nga inaramid ni Jesus idi rimuar isuna idiay Judea a napan idiay Galilea.
This is again the second sign that Yeshua did, having come out of Judea into Galilee.
