< Juan 18 >
1 Kalpasan a naibaga ni Jesus dagitoy a sasao, napan isuna ken dagiti adalanna idiay Tanap ti Kidron, nga adda idiay ti minuyongan a simrekanda, isuna ken dagiti adalanna.
Having said these things, Jesus, went out, with his disciples, across the winter-torrent of the Kedron, where was a garden, —into which he entered, he, and his disciples.
2 Ita ni Judas, a manglipot kenkuana, ammona met ti lugar, ta masansan a pappapananda Jesus ken dagiti adalanna.
Now, Judas also, who was delivering him up, knew the place: because, oft, had Jesus been gathered there, with his disciples.
3 Kalpasanna nga inawat ni Judas ti bunggoy dagiti soldado ken dagiti opisyal manipud kadagiti panguloen a papadi ken dagiti Fariseo, napanda idiay nga addaan iti hasag, tubong a pagsilawan, ken ar-armas.
Judas, therefore, receiving the band, and officers, from among the High-priests and [from among] the Pharisees, cometh thither, with lights and torches and weapons.
4 Kalpasanna ammo ni Jesus, amin a banbanag a mapasamak kenkuana, sinabatna ida ken nagsaludsod kadakuada, “Ta siasino ti birbirukenyo?”
Jesus, therefore, knowing all the things coming upon him, went forth, and saith unto them—Whom, seek ye?
5 Simmungbatda kenkuana “Ni Jesus a taga-Nasaret.” Imbaga ni Jesus kadakuada, “Siak.” Ni Judas a nangliput kenkuana ket agtaktakder pay a kadua dagiti soldado.
They answered him—Jesus, the Nazarene. He saith unto them—I, am he. Now Judas also, who was delivering him up, was standing with them.
6 Isu nga idi naibagana kadakuada a, “Siak,” napasanudda ket natuangda iti daga.
When, therefore, he said unto them, I, am he, they went backwards, and fell to the ground.
7 Kalpasanna, nagdamag manen isuna kadakuada, “Ta siasino aya ti birbirukenyo?” Imbagada manen, “Ni Jesus a taga-Nasaret.”
Again, therefore, he questioned them—Whom, seek ye? And, they, said—Jesus, the Nazarene.
8 Simmungbat ni Jesus, “Imbagakon kadakayo a Siak isuna; isu a no siak ti birbirukenyo, ipalubosyo a pumanaw dagitoy dadduma a tattao.”
Jesus answered—I told you, I, am he. If, then, ye seek me, let these go their way: —
9 Daytoy ket tapno maipatungpal ti sao nga imbagana: “Kadagiti amin nga intedmo kaniak, awan uray maysa a napukawko.”
that the word might be fulfilled which he had said—As touching them whom thou hast given me, I lost from among them, not so much as one.
10 Kalpasanna ni Simon Pedro nga adda idi kampilanna, inasutna daytoy ken tinagbatna ti adipen ti kangatoan a padi ket naisina ti makinkannawan a lapayagna. Ita ti nagan ti adipen ket Malco.
Simon Peter, therefore, having a sword, drew it, and smote the High-priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. Now the name of the servant was Malchus.
11 Kinuna ni Jesus kenni Pedro, “Isublim dayta kampilanmo iti kalubanna. Ti kopa nga inted kaniak ti Ama, saanko aya nga inumen daytoy?”
Jesus, therefore, said unto Peter—Thrust the sword into its sheath: —The cup which the Father hath given me, shall I in anywise not drink it?
12 Isu a ti bunggoy dagiti soldado ken ti kapitan, ken dagiti opisial dagiti Judio, tinilewda ni Jesus ket ginalutanda isuna.
The band, therefore, and the captain, and the officers of the Jews, apprehended Jesus, and bound him,
13 Inyapanda nga umuna kenni Anas, ta isu ti katugangan ni Caifas, isuna ti kangatoan a padi iti dayta a tawen.
and led him unto Annas, first; for he was father-in-law of Caiaphas, who was the High-priest of that year.
14 Ita ni Caifas ti nangted ti pammagbaga kadagiti Judio a nasaysayaat no maysa a tao ti masapul a matay para kadagiti tattao.
Now Caiaphas was he that gave counsel unto the Jews, that it was profitable for, one man, to die in behalf of the people.
15 Sinurot ni Simon Pedro ni Jesus, ket kasta met ti sabali nga adalan. Ita dayta nga adalan ket mabigbig ti kangatoan a padi, ket simrek isuna a kakuyog ni Jesus iti pangukoman ti kangatoan a padi;
And Simon Peter was following with Jesus, also another disciple. But, that disciple, was known unto the High-priest, and entered in, with Jesus, into the court of the High-priest;
16 ngem ni Pedro ket agtaktakder iti ruar ti ridaw. Isu a ti sabali nga adalan, a mabigbig ti kangatoan a padi, rimmuar ken nakisarita iti adipen a babai nga agbanbantay iti ridaw ket pinaunegna ni Pedro.
whereas, Peter, remained standing at the door outside. The other disciple, therefore, that was known of the High-priest, went out, and spake unto the portress, and brought in Peter.
17 Ket imbaga ti adipen a babai nga agbanbantay iti ridaw kenni Pedro, “Saan aya a maysaka met kadagiti adalan daytoy a tao?” Kinuna “Saan a siak.”
The female servant, therefore, the portress, saith unto Peter—Art, thou also, from among the disciples of this man? He, saith—I am not!
18 Ita agtaktakder dagiti adipen ken opisial sadiay; nangpuorda kadagti uging, ta nalam-ek, ken nagin-inudoda. Adda pay ni Pedro a kaduada, agtaktakder ken agin-inudo.
Now the servants and the officers were standing by, having made, a coal fire, because it was cold, —and were warming themselves; and Peter also was with them, standing and warming himself.
19 Kalpasanna nagsaludsod ti kangatoan a padi kenni Jesus maipapan kadagiti adalanna ken kadagiti insursurona.
The High-priest, therefore, questioned Jesus concerning his disciples, and concerning his teaching.
20 Simmungbat ni Jesus kenkuana, “Nagsaoak a nawaya iti lubong; Nagisuroak a kanayon kadagiti sinagoga ken iti templo a pagtataripnongan dagiti amin a Judio. Awan ti imbagak iti nalimed.
Jesus answered him—I, openly, have spoken, unto the world, —I, ever, taught, in synagogue, and in the temple, where all the Jews gather together; and, in secret, spake nothing:
21 Apay nga agsaludsodkayo kaniak? Damagenyo kadagiti nagdengngeg kaniak maipapan kadagiti imbagak. Ammo dagitoy a tattao dagiti banbanag nga imbagak.”
Why questionest thou me? question them who have heard, what I spake unto them. See! these, know what, I, said.
22 Kalpasan a naibaga ni Jesus daytoy, maysa kadagiti opisial nga agtaktakder ti nangtungpa kenni Jesus ket imbagana, “Kasta kadi no kasano ti panangsungbatmo iti kangatoan a padi?”
And, when, these things, he had said, one of the officers who was standing by, gave a smart blow to Jesus, saying—Thus, answerest thou, the High-priest?
23 Simmungbat ni Jesus kenkuana, “No adda ti imbagak a saan a nasayaat, paneknekam a dakes. No pay kasta, no simmungbatak a nasayaat, apay a tungpaennak?”
Jesus answered him—If, with abuse, I spake, bear witness of the abuse: but, if with respect, why, smitest thou me?
24 Inpayapan ngarud ni Anas ni Jesus a sirereppet kenni Caifas a kangatoan a padi.
Annas therefore sent him forth, bound, unto Caiaphas the High-priest.
25 Ita agtaktakder ni Simon Pedro nga agin-inudo. Ket kinuna dagiti tattao kenkuana, “Saan aya a maysaka met kadagiti adalanna?” Inlibakna daytoy ket kinunana, “Saan.”
Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said, therefore, unto him—Art, thou also, from among his disciples? He, denied, and said—I am not!
26 Maysa kadagiti adipen ti kangatoan a padi, a kabagian ti lalaki nga insina ni Pedro ti lapayagna, ti nagkuna, “Saan aya a sika ti nakitak a kaduana idiay minuyongan?
Saith one from among the servants of the High-priest, being, kinsman, of him whose ear Peter cut off, —Did not, I, see thee, in the garden with him?
27 Naglibak manen ni Pedro, ken dagus a nagtaraok ti kawitan.
Again, therefore, Peter denied. And, straightway, a cock crew.
28 Kalpasanna impanda ni Jesus manipud kenni Caifas nga agturong iti Praetorio. Nasapa unay ti bigbigat, ken isuda a mismo ket saanda a makauneg iti Praetorio tapno saanda a matulawan ken tapno makapanganda iti Fiesta ti Ilalabas.
So they lead Jesus from Caiaphas unto the judgment-hall. Now it was early; and, they themselves, entered not into the judgment-hall, that they might not be defiled, but might eat the passover.
29 Isu a rimmuar ni Pilato kadakuada ket imbagana, “Ania ti pangidarumanyo maibusor iti daytoy a tao?
Pilate, therefore, went forth outside unto them, and saith, —What accusation bring ye against this man?
30 Simmungbatda ket kunada kenkuana, “No daytoy a tao ket saan nga agar-aramid iti dakes, saanmi koman nga idatag kenka.”
They answered and said unto him—If this one had not been doing, mischief, unto thee, had we not delivered him up.
31 Imbaga ngarud ni Pilato kadakuada, “Alaenyo isuna, ket ukomenyo isuna a maiyannurot iti paglinteganyo.” Kinuna dagiti Judio kenkuana, “Saan a nainkalintegan kadakami ti mangipataw a mapapatay ti siasinoman.”
Pilate, therefore, said unto them—Ye, take him, and, according to your law, judge ye him. The Jews said unto him—Unto us, it is not allowed, to kill anyone!—
32 Imbagada daytoy tapno maipatungpal ti sao ni Jesus, ti sao a naibagana a naisaad no ania a kita ti patay a pakatayanna.
that, the word of Jesus, might be fulfilled, which he spake, signifying, by what manner of death, he was about to die.
33 Immuneg manen ni Pilato iti Praetorio ken inayabanna ni Jesus; kinunana kenkuana, “Sika kadi ti ari dagiti Judio?”
Pilate, therefore, entered again into the judgment-hall; and addressed Jesus, and said unto him—Art, thou, the king of the Jews?
34 Simmungbat ni Jesus, “Salsaludsodem kadi daytoy iti bukodmo, wenno imbaga iti sabali a saludsodem daytoy kaniak?”
Jesus answered—Of thyself, art, thou, this thing saying; or did, others, tell thee concerning me?
35 Simmungbat ni Pilato, “Saanak a Judio, saan kadi? Dagiti kailiam ken dagiti panguloen a papadi ti nangidatag kenka kaniak, ania aya ti inaramidmo?”
Pilate answered—Am, I, a Jew? Thine own nation, and the High-priests, delivered thee up, unto me! What, hast thou done?
36 Simmungbat ni Jesus, “Ti pagariak ket saan nga iti daytoy a lubong. No ti pagariak ket paset daytoy a lubong, ngarud makigubat koman dagiti adipenko tapno saanak a maidatag kadagiti Judio. Kinapudnona ti pagariak ket saan nga aggapu ditoy.”
Jesus answered—My kingdom, is not of this world: If, of this world, had been my kingdom, mine own officers, would have been striving, that I should not be delivered up unto the Jews: but, now, my kingdom, is not from hence.
37 Imbaga ngarud ni Pilato kenkuana, “No kasta ngarud maysaka nga ari?” Simmungbat ni Jesus “Imbagamon a maysaak nga ari. Ta iti daytoy a panggep naiyanakak, ken ta iti daytoy a panggep immayak iti daytoy a lubong tapno paneknekak iti kinapudno. Tunggal maysa a maibilang iti kinapudno ket dumdumngeg iti timekko.”
Pilate, therefore, said unto him—And yet, thou, art, not a king? Jesus answered—Thou, sayest, that, a king, I am: I, for this, have been born, and, for this, have come into the world, —that I may bear witness unto the truth: Every one who is of the truth, hearkeneth unto my voice.
38 Kinuna ni Pilato kenkuana, “Ania ti kinapudno?” Idi naibagana daytoy, rimmuar manen isuna a napan kadagiti Judio ket kinunana kadakuada, “Awan masarakak a krimen iti daytoy a tao.
Pilate saith unto him—What, is truth? And, this saying, again, went he out to the Jews, and saith unto them, —I, find in him, not a single fault.
39 Adda ti kaugallianyo a masapul a mangwayawayaak iti maysa a tao kada Fiesta ti Ilalabas. Isu a kayatyo kadi a wayawayaak kadakayo ti Ari dagiti Judio?”
Howbeit ye have, a custom, that, some one, I should release unto you, during the passover: —Are ye minded, then, that I release unto you the king of the Jews?
40 Ngem impukkawda ket imbagada, “Saan a daytoy a tao, ngem ni Barabas.” Ita ni Barabas ket maysa nga agtatakaw.
So they cried aloud again, saying—Not this man, but Barabbas! Now, Barabbas, was, a robber.
