< Juan 16 >

1 “Insaok dagitoy a banbanag kadakayo tapno rumbeng a saankayo a maitibkol.
“I have said these things to you so that you wouldn’t be caused to stumble.
2 Paruaren dakayto kadagiti sinagoga; pudno unay, umayen iti oras nga uray siasinoman a mangpapatay kadakayo ket panunotenna nga agar-aramid iti naimbag a trabaho maipaay iti Dios.
They will put you out of the synagogues. Yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers service to God.
3 Aramidendanto dagitoy a banbanag gapu ta saandak nga am-ammo wenno iti Ama.
They will do these things because they have not known the Father nor me.
4 Insaok dagitoy a banbanag kadakayo tapno inton umay iti oras a mapasamak para kadakuada, malagipyonto ida ken no kasano iti panangibagak kadakayo iti maipapan kadakuada. Saanko nga imbaga iti maipanggep kadagitoy a banbanag kadakayo idi punganay gapu ta addaak kadakayon.
But I have told you these things so that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you about them. I didn’t tell you these things from the beginning, because I was with you.
5 Nupay kasta, mapanak ita kenkuana nga isu iti nangibaon kaniak; awan pay kadakayo iti nagdamag kaniak, 'Sadino ti papanam?'
But now I am going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’
6 Gapu ta imbagak dagitoy a banbanag kadakayo, napnoan iti pannakaladingit iti pusoyo.
But because I have told you these things, sorrow has filled your heart.
7 Nupay kasta, ibagak kadakayo iti kinapudno: pagsayaatanyo no pumanawak; gapu ta no saanak a pumanaw, saan nga umay kadakayo ti Mangliwliwa; ngem no pumanawak, ibaonkonto isuna kadakayo.
Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I don’t go away, the Counselor won’t come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.
8 Inton umay isuna, paneknekanto ti Mangliwliwa iti lubong ti maipapan iti basol, maipapan iti kinalinteg, ken maipapan iti panangukom—
When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment;
9 maipapan iti basol, gapu ta saanda a mamati kaniak;
about sin, because they don’t believe in me;
10 maipapan iti kinalinteg, gapu ta mapanak iti Ama, ket saandakton a makita;
about righteousness, because I am going to my Father, and you won’t see me any more;
11 ken ti maipapan iti panangukom, gapu ta ti prinsipe iti daytoy a lubong ket naukomen.
about judgment, because the prince of this world has been judged.
12 Adu dagiti banbanag nga ibagak kadakayo, ngem saanyo pay a maawatan ita.
“I still have many things to tell you, but you can’t bear them now.
13 Nupay kasta, no isu, ti Espiritu iti kinapudno, ket umay, iwanwannakayto iti amin a kinapudno; gapu ta saan isuna nga agsao manipud iti bukodna a bagi; ngem aniaman dagiti banbanag a mangngeganna, ibagananto dagita a banbanag; ket ipakaammonanto kadakayo dagiti banbanag nga umayto.
However, when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming.
14 Padayawannakto, gapu ta alaenna dagiti banbanag a kukuak ket ipakaammonanto dagidiay kadakayo.
He will glorify me, for he will take from what is mine and will declare it to you.
15 Amin a banbanag nga adda iti Ama ket kukuak; ngarud, imbagak nga iti Espiritu ket alaennanto dagiti banbanag a kukuak ket ipakaammonanto dagidiay kadakayo.
All things that the Father has are mine; therefore I said that he takes of mine and will declare it to you.
16 Ti bassit a tiempo, saandakton a makita; ken kalpasan ti bassit a tiempo manen, makitadakto.”
“A little while, and you will not see me. Again a little while, and you will see me.”
17 Kinuna dagiti sumagmamano nga adalanna iti tunggal maysa, “Ania daytoy nga imbagana kadatayo, “Ti bassit a tiempo, ket saandakton a makita,' ken manen, 'Ti bassit a tiempo manen, ket makitadakto,' ken, 'Gapu ta mapanak iti Ama'?”
Some of his disciples therefore said to one another, “What is this that he says to us, ‘A little while, and you won’t see me, and again a little while, and you will see me;’ and, ‘Because I go to the Father’?”
18 Kinunada ngarud, “Ania daytoy nga ibagbagana, 'Iti bassit a tiempo'? Saantayo nga ammo no ania iti ibagbagana.”
They said therefore, “What is this that he says, ‘A little while’? We don’t know what he is saying.”
19 Nakita ni Jesus nga aggagarda nga agdamag kenkuana, ket kinunana kadakuada, “Dinamagyo kadi dagiti bagbagiyo ti maipapan iti daytoy, nga imbagak, 'Ti bassit a tiempo, saandakton a makita; kalpasan iti bassit a tiempo manen, ket makitadakto'?
Therefore Jesus perceived that they wanted to ask him, and he said to them, “Do you inquire among yourselves concerning this, that I said, ‘A little while, and you won’t see me, and again a little while, and you will see me’?
20 Pudno, pudno, nga ibagak kadakayo, agsangit ken agdung-awkayto, ngem ti lubong ket agrag-onto; agladingitkayto, ngem iti ladingityo ket agbalinto a rag-o.
Most certainly I tell you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.
21 Agladingit iti babai no isunanto ket agpasikal gapu ta ti tiempo a panagpasngayna ket umayto; ngem no naipasngaynan iti ubing, saannanton a malagip dagiti ut-otna gapu iti rag-ona nga ti ubing ket naipasngayen iti lubong.
A woman, when she gives birth, has sorrow because her time has come. But when she has delivered the child, she doesn’t remember the anguish any more, for the joy that a human being is born into the world.
22 Kasta met kadakayo, adda ti ladingityo ita, ngem makitakayonto manen; ken ti pusoyo ket agrag-onto, ken awanto ti siasinoman a makabael a mangikkat iti rag-o manipud kadakayo.
Therefore you now have sorrow, but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.
23 Iti daytanto nga aldaw, saankayonton nga agsaludsod pay kaniak. Pudno, pudno, nga ibagak kadakayo, no dumawatkayo iti aniaman a banag iti Ama, itednanto daytoy babaen iti naganko.
“In that day you will ask me no questions. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.
24 Aginggana ita awanpay iti dinawatyo iti naganko; dumawatkayo, ket umawatkayto tapno mapnoankayonto iti rag-o.
Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.
25 Insaok dagitoy a banbanag kadakayo iti saanyo a maawatan a pagsasao, ngem umayen iti oras a saanakon nga agsao kadakayo ti di maawatan a pagsasao ngem ketdi ibagakto iti nalawag kadakayo ti maipanggep iti Ama.
“I have spoken these things to you in figures of speech. But the time is coming when I will no more speak to you in figures of speech, but will tell you plainly about the Father.
26 Iti daytanto nga aldaw dumawatkayto iti naganko, ken saanko nga ibaga kadakayo nga ikararagkayonto iti Ama;
In that day you will ask in my name; and I don’t say to you that I will pray to the Father for you,
27 gapu ta ti Ama ket ay-ayatennakayo gapu ta ay-ayatendak ken gapu ta namatikayo nga immayak manipud iti Ama.
for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came from God.
28 Immayak manipud iti Ama, ken immayak iti lubong; maminsan pay, panawak ti lubong ket mapanak iti Ama.”
I came from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father.”
29 Kinuna dagiti adalanna, “Kitaem, agsasaoka itan iti nalawag ken saanka nga agus-usar ti di maawatan a pagsasao.
His disciples said to him, “Behold, now you are speaking plainly, and using no figures of speech.
30 Naammoanmin ita nga ammom dagiti amin a banbanag, ken saanen a kasapulan nga adda iti siasinoman nga agsaludsod kenka. Gapu iti daytoy, mamatikami a naggapuka manipud iti Dios.
Now we know that you know all things, and don’t need for anyone to question you. By this we believe that you came from God.”
31 Simmungbat ni Jesus kadakuada, “mamatikayo kadin ita?”
Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe?
32 Kitaenyo, ti oras um-umayen, wen, ken pudno nga umay, inton mawarawarakayo, ti tunggal maysa iti bukodna a sanikua, ket panawandakto nga agmaymaysa. Ngem saanak nga agmaymaysa gapu ta adda kaniak iti Ama.
Behold, the time is coming, yes, and has now come, that you will be scattered, everyone to his own place, and you will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
33 Insaok dagitoy a banbanag kadakayo tapno babaen kaniak maaddaankayo iti kapia. Iti lubong addaankayo kadagiti pakariribukan, ngem maparegtakayo: Napagballigiak ti lubong.”
I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.”
