< Joel 2 >
1 Pagunienyo ti trumpeta idiay Sion, ken pagunienyo ti tangguyob iti nasantoan a bantayko! Agpigerger koma iti buteng dagiti amin nga agnanaed iti daga, ta umadanin ti aldaw ni Yahweh; pudno nga asidegen daytoy.
Blow a horn in Zion, And shout in My holy hill, All inhabitants of the earth tremble, For the Day of YHWH is coming, for [it is] near!
2 Daytoy ket aldaw iti kinasipnget ken kinalidem, aldaw a naulep ken nalulem. Kas iti parbangon nga agsaknap kadagiti bantay, sumungsungaden ti dakkel ken nabileg nga armada. Awan pay ti armada a kas iti daytoy, ken awanton ti kastoy, uray kalpasan iti adu a henerasion.
A day of darkness and thick darkness, A day of cloud and thick darkness, As darkness spread on the mountains, A people numerous and mighty, Like there has not been from of old, And after it there is not again—Until the years of generation and generation.
3 Ikiskisap ti apuy ti amin a banag iti sangoananna, ken adda gil-ayab iti likudan. Ti daga ket kas iti minoyungan ti Eden iti sangoananna, ngem iti likudanna ket adda iti nadadael a let-ang. Pudno, awanto ti makalibas iti daytoy.
Before it fire has consumed, And after it a flame burns, As the Garden of Eden [is] the land before it, And after it a wilderness—a desolation! And also there has not been to it an escape,
4 Kasla kabalio ti langa ti armada, ken kasla kumakabalio ti panagtarayda.
As the appearance of horses [is] its appearance, And as horsemen, so they run.
5 Kumaradakad ti panaglagtoda a kasla kadagiti karuahe iti tuktok dagiti bantay, kasla iti uni ti gumilgil-ayab nga apuy a mangikiskisap iti garami, kasla iti nabileg nga armada a nakasagana a makigubat.
As the noise of chariots, they skip on the tops of the mountains, As the noise of a flame of fire devouring stubble, As a mighty people set in array for battle.
6 Iti isusungadda, agbuteng dagiti tattao ken pummusyaw dagiti rupada.
Pained are peoples from its face, All faces have gathered paleness.
7 Ti panagtarayda ket kasla iti nabileg a mannakigubat; kumalay-atda kadagiti pader a kasla kadagiti soldado; agmarmartsada, aggigiddan ti addangda, ken naurnos dagiti linyada.
They run as mighty ones, As men of war they go up a wall, And they each go in his own ways, And they do not change their paths.
8 Awan ti agdidinnuron; agmarmartsa ti tunggal maysa iti dalanna; lumasatda kadagiti sarikedked ket saan a madadael ti linyada.
And each does not press his brother, They each go on in his way, If they fall by the missile, they are not cut off.
9 Sipapardasda a mangraut iti siudad, tumarayda kadagiti pader, kumalay-atda kadagiti babbalay, ket sumrekda kadagiti tawa a kasla kadagiti agtatakaw.
In the city they run to and fro, On the wall they run, Into houses they go up by the windows, They go in as a thief.
10 Agkintayeg ti daga iti sangoananda, agpigerger dagiti langit, simmepnget ti init ken bulan, ken saanen nga agraniag dagiti bituen.
At their face the earth has trembled, The heavens have shaken, Sun and moon have been black, And stars have gathered up their shining.
11 Binilin ni Yahweh ti armadana, ta nagadu unay dagiti mannakigubatna ken nabilegda, dagiti agtungtungpal kadagiti bilbilinna. Ta kasta unay a nakabutbuteng ti aldaw ni Yahweh. Siasino ngay koma ti makalasat iti daytoy?
And YHWH has given forth His voice before His force, For His camp [is] very great, For mighty [is] the doer of His word, For great [is] the Day of YHWH—very fearful, And who bears it?
12 Kuna ni Yahweh, “Ngem uray pay ita, agsublikayo kaniak iti amin a pusoyo. Agayunar, agsangit, ken agladingitkayo.”
“And also now,” a declaration of YHWH, “Turn back to Me with all your heart, And with fasting, and with weeping, And with lamentation.”
13 Ipakitayo ti sipupuso a panagbabawiyo ken saan laeng nga iti panangray-abyo kadagiti kawesyo, ket agsublikayo kenni Yahweh a Diosyo. Ta naasi ken managparabur isuna, saan a nalaka nga agunget ngem ketdi napnoan iti ayat, ken saannatayo koma a kayat a dusaen.
And tear your heart, and not your garments, And turn back to your God YHWH, For He [is] gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and abundant in kindness, And relenting from evil.
14 Siasino ngay koma ti makaammo? No ngay agbaliw ti pangngeddengna ket maasian isuna, ken mangted isuna kadagiti bendision, daton a bukbukel ken daton a mainum nga agpaay kenni Yahweh a Diosyo?
Who knows—He turns back, Indeed—He has relented, And He has left behind Him a blessing, A present and drink-offering of your God YHWH?
15 Pagunienyo ti trumpeta idiay Sion, ken agayunarkayo, ket mangangaykayo iti nasantoan a gimong.
Blow a horn in Zion, Sanctify a fast—proclaim a restraint.
16 Ummongenyo dagiti tattao, mang-angaykayo iti nasantoan a gimong. Ummongenyo dagiti panglakayen, ummongenyo dagiti ubbing, ken dagiti maladaga. Paruarenyo dagiti nobio kadagiti siledda ken paruarenyo dagiti nobia kadagiti siled a pagur-urayanda iti seremonia ti kasar.
Gather the people, sanctify an assembly, Assemble the aged, Gather infants and sucklings of the breasts, Let a bridegroom go out from his inner chamber, And a bride out of her closet.
17 Agsangit koma dagiti papadi nga agserserbi kenni Yahweh iti nagbaetan ti pagserkan ken ti altar. Kunaenda koma, “O Yahweh, kaasiam dagiti tattaom ket saanmo nga ipalubos a maibabain dagiti tattaom a maiyarig a tawidmo, ket iturayan ida dagiti nasion. Apay nga ibaga dagiti nasion, ayanna ngayen ti Diosda?''
Let the priests weep between the porch and the altar, servants of YHWH, And let them say: “Have pity, O YHWH, on Your people, And do not give Your inheritance to reproach, To the ruling over them of nations, Why do they say among peoples, Where [is] their God?”
18 Kalpasanna, impakita ni Yahweh ti panangipategna iti dagana ket kinaasianna dagiti tattaona.
And let YHWH be zealous for His land, And have pity on His people.
19 Insungbat ni Yahweh kadagiti tattaona: “Adtoy, ikkankayo kadagiti bukel, baro nga arak, ken lana. Mapnekkayonto kadagitoy, ken saankonton nga itulok a maibabainkayo kadagiti nasion.
Let YHWH answer and say to His people, “Behold, I am sending to you the grain, And the new wine, and the oil, And you have been satisfied with it, And I make you no longer a reproach among nations,
20 Ipanawkonto kadakayo dagiti mangdarup a naggapu iti amianan, ket iturongko ida iti namaga ken langalang a daga. Agturong dagiti akin-sango nga armadada iti baybay iti daya, ken ti akinlikud nga armada iti baybay iti laud. Umalingasawdanto ken sumngawto dagiti bangsitda. Agaramidakto kadagiti nakakaskasdaaw a banbanag.
And the northern I put far off from you, And have driven him to a land dry and desolate, With his face toward the Eastern Sea, And his rear to the Western Sea, And his stink has come up, And his stench comes up, For he has exerted himself to work.”
21 Saanka nga agbuteng, daga, agragsak ken agrag-oka, ta nagaramid ni Yahweh kadagiti nakakaskasdaaw a banbanag.
Do not fear, O land! Be glad and rejoice, For YHWH has exerted Himself to work.
22 Saankayo nga agbuteng, dakayo nga atap nga ay-ayup iti tay-ak, ta agtubonto dagiti ruruot iti pagaraban kadagiti let-ang, agbunganto dagiti kaykayo, ket umadunto ti apit kadagiti igos ken ubas.
Do not fear, O livestock of the field! For pastures of a wilderness have sprung up, For the tree has borne its fruit, Fig tree and vine have given their strength!
23 Agragsakayo, tattao ti Sion, ken agrag-okayo kenni Yahweh a Diosyo. Ta pagtuduennanto iti umno a tiempo ket agbayakabak ti tudo para kadakayo, ti tudo iti tiempo ti panagrurusing ken tiempo ti panagregreg iti bulong a kas idi damo.
And you sons of Zion, Be glad and rejoice in your God YHWH, For He has given to you the Teacher for righteousness, And causes a shower to come down to you, Early rain and spring rain [as] in the beginning.
24 Mapnonto iti trigo dagiti pagirikan, ken aglippiasto dagiti pagkargaan iti baro nga arak ken lana.
And the floors have been full [with] pure grain, And the presses have overflown [with] new wine and oil.
25 “Isublikto kadakayo dagiti mula nga inay-aywananyo iti adu a tawen a kinnan dagiti nagsasaruno a pangen dagiti dudon, ti nabileg nga armadak nga imbaonko kadakayo.
“And I have repaid to you the years that the locust consumed, The cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmer-worm, My great force that I sent against you.
26 Mangankayonto iti adu ket mabsogkayo, ken dayawenyo ti nagan ni Yahweh a Diosyo a nagaramid kadagiti nakaskasdaaw kadakayo. Saankonton nga ibabain dagiti tattaok.
And you have eaten, eating and being satisfied, And have praised the Name of your God YHWH, Who has dealt with you wonderfully, And My people are not ashamed for all time.
27 Maammoanyonto nga addaak iti Israel, ket Siak ni Yahweh a Diosyo, ken awanen ti sabali. Saankonton nga ibabain dagiti tattaok.
And you have known that I [am] in the midst of Israel, And I [am] your God YHWH, and there is none else, And My people are not ashamed for all time.
28 Iti mabiit, ibukbukkonto ti Espirituk kadagiti amin a lasag, ket agipadtonto dagiti annakyo a lallaki ken babbai. Agtagtagainepto dagiti panglakayenyo, makakitanto iti sirmata dagiti agtutuboyo a lallaki.
And it has come to pass afterward, I pour out My Spirit on all flesh, And your sons and your daughters have prophesied, Your old men dream dreams, Your young men see visions.
29 Kadagidiay nga aldaw, ibukbukkonto met ti Espirituk kadagiti adipen a lallaki ken babbai.
And also on the menservants and on the maidservants, In those days I pour out My Spirit.
30 Mangipakitaakto kadagiti nakakaskasdaaw iti langit ken iti daga, dara, apuy ken dagiti adigi nga asuk.
And I have given wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood, and fire, and columns of smoke.
31 Sumipngetto ti init ken lumabbaganto ti bulan a kasla iti dara, sakbay a dumteng ti nakabutbuteng unay nga aldaw ni Yahweh.
The sun is turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, Before the coming of the Day of YHWH, The great and the fearful.
32 Iti dayta a tiempo, maisalakanto dagiti amin nga umawag iti nagan ni Yahweh. Ta addanto dagiti makalasat idiay Bantay Sion ken idiay Jerusalem, a kas imbaga ni Yahweh, ket makalasatto dagiti pinili ni Yahweh.
And it has come to pass, Everyone who calls on the Name of YHWH is delivered, For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there is an escape, As YHWH has said, And among the remnants whom YHWH is calling!”
